- JBSchweitzer, on 05/29/2009, -3/+11As a Seminole currently at Florida State, I have to regrettably say that it will be Paterno. While Bobby is still on the field, he has Jimbo Fischer waiting to take over before the 2011 season.
The catch is that if FSU doesn't hand over the coaching job before 01/11, then they owe Jimbo 5 Million. That being said, 2010 has to be his last season where as Paterno will be there until his heart gives out.
Go Noles! - e2superman, on 02/02/2009, -3/+7It is just great to have them both. If you have ever heard or seen them talk off the field you will appreciate what they bring to the sport.
- aftern9ne, on 02/02/2009, -2/+6Why are you posting stupid *****? Buried.
- SOS84, on 02/02/2009, -6/+9Joe Paterno actually has a 32 win lead over Poppa Bowden. Bobby's 31 wins as the head coach of Samford are worthless.
- Ardiente, on 02/01/2009, -8/+10Bowden. That man defined my childhood.

- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -2/+3agreed, many overlook this fact. not to take anything away from bobby, hes a great coach.
"penn state forever" - I4uga, on 02/17/2009, -0/+1I saw Paterno on ESPN the other day and at first thought I was watching HBO and a weekend with bernie.
- RunDiggMC, on 02/03/2009, -0/+0I have a ton of respect for Paterno, but I'm not sure how much coaching he's actually doing now. He didn't even address his team at halftime of the Rose Bowl this year.
- ImOscar, on 02/02/2009, -4/+3The rules for this record are ridiculous. Paterno should have a healthy lead, but for some reason wins that should be worthless count if you've coached long enough. Bowden has a lot of non 1-A wins that are counted towards his 1-A wins.
- gatorchomp83, on 02/02/2009, -2/+1Paterno deserves the record. As has been stated, Bowden has a good 30+ wins at Samford that shouldn't even count. Not to mention that Paterno has gotten this far clean and fair, and Bobby has lied, cheated, "dadgummit"d his way to mention with a man who is genuine.
The good thing about it is Bobby won't let go, and as long as he is still there, f$u will never be relevant again. Let's hope he stays long enough to absolutely ruin the program to the point they'll never recover. - superterrorizer, on 02/02/2009, -3/+2Paterno. Age is his superpower!
- hadi2f, on 02/02/2009, -4/+1Totally agree with ImOscar, you should post the same comment for the folks at iShoutLoud http://ishoutloud.com/Who-will-coach-longer-Patern ...
- SevanElevan, on 02/02/2009, -11/+6Trick question. They will both coach until the end of time. But Bobby will always be the manlier man.
Go Seminoles! - blitzkriegpunk, on 02/02/2009, -9/+4Don't know, don't care.
- StripeyMagee, on 02/02/2009, -10/+4Who cares?
- theg3neral, on 02/02/2009, -10/+3Why is this on the front page? Buried.
