- llarbkd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29I figured they were burned or dropped in an endless hole or something.
- briangig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28I bet they could make millions scamming people...
- hybridcreation, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25I've always wondered that. I figured they just sat in a warehouse somewhere....or got sold to collectors.
- DurkaMcDurk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28they don't donate because the MLB is full of over-paid bitches.
- hybridcreation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20"Who collects old losing team Super Bowl merchandise?"
Take a trip over to eBay and have a look at some of the "collectibles" people are selling and ask that question again. - MrMysterious, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22Wow, the Colts are in the NFC now?
- JesusFaction, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19you'd be surprised about the things some people collect...
- TRUEPATRIOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15finally thats cleared up but damn mlb burning the shirts and caps. why not follow the other leagues and donate?
- hybridcreation, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19
Why would MLB do anything that makes sense? - Rohkd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15No digg, because there was a picture of a bears super bowl champion shirt, and under it saying " this item may be hard to find"
- adrenaline33, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15well..
- Crystallio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9It's ironic that the NFL donates the shirts to benefit people but that the people receiving the shirts would gain more benefit by selling them on eBay than by actually wearing them.
- dizznit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Thanks Mace! Always wondered where they went. Man, would those hats/t-shirts go for a nice buck on eBay. Glad to see they go to the less fortunate. GO BEARS!

- LeBlue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'd buy a Raider Super Bowl 36 Champions Shirt from an Ethipean Boy any day.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The Colts won the NFC?
oh sweet, i guess that means the Patriots still have a shot at the stanley cup. - TroubleInMind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8So after the game tomorrow, the losing team's true fanboys will be on the way to Darfur to get in line for a shirt.
- Durinthal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Go figure, I was wondering about that earlier tonight.

Generally when a person has to explain that they're not racist they usually are.
You're a perfect example. - D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's cool...I think it'd be funny to be a missionary and travel to foreign countries and see kids wearing those shirts...
- jhnshft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I've always wondered what happened to these things. Man what I would give for a Buffalo Bills Championship t-shirt. Thanks for posting this article. dugg!
- CAHP19, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4now if only these could make their way to ebay
- ToRoE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I have a Cubs World Series t-shirt! Hell yeah!
damn that bartman. - Chupacabra82, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4the title is retarded? sure about that?
- PureGamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I always figured they went to third world countries, no sense in burning or otherwise disposing of them...man those would be some pretty hot ebay items, considering that none of them see the light of day in the U.S.
- Rabbethan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3As the proud owner of a Seahawks 2006 Champs shirt (who used to work at The Sports Authority) I know it doesn't always work this way. They usually send a box of shirts before the game which are cheaply made, which is why you see some cheaper looking shirts and such. But when the team losses they make you send the shirts back. Well all you have to do is send back that you were missing some shirts in the shipment. For some reason 3 of them were missing from our shipment...
- diggsIt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3As a Browns fan, that's the only place I might find Championship gear, 'In a land that time forgot'.
- LucasKane, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I remember that Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl XXXIX Champions banner on Ebay... hilarious
- xNaquada, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Based on your logic... then your a "winner"

And just to improve upon your point, they don't necessarily have a vendetta on facts, just facts that make Democrats look bad. - PDave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So does all of Romania think that the Buffalo Bills f'n kick ass?

- stickyhoney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1On Ebay?
Stickyhoney | http://www.footyau.com.au/ - murder1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OriginalLucid1,
I am certain that you can donate food AND shirts. What is the point in them burning clothing that can be used elsewhere? - sfatoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wouldn't the NFL make more money by selling the shirts through eBay or another venture as a "collectors item" and help out more by donating the money to charity rather than just giving out 300 t-shirts? They shouldn't worry about "traumatizing the losing teams" all that much. It's not like Dan Marino is still sitting in a corner crying about leaving the laces out on that missed field goal in the super bowl.
- OriginalLucid1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1MLB and especially MLB players do a lot more for the poor and impoverished than donate 200 t shirts to them. The NFL and NBA are just a little too sensitive about people saying just what you did. Put perception aside for a minute and look at reality. Do these people need food and shelter, or do they t shirts?
- spanishturtle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@duggless
You've completely missed the point - they don't send them to developing countries to make sure the people don't know who the real winner was, they send them to those countries because the people could use them. Yes, they could probably send the shirts to France or the UK and many wouldn't know the difference, but they're trying to help out by giving the shirts to someone who can actually use them. If the NFL wanted to make sure the shirts never got back to a football fan they could just destroy them.
Also, I doubt any American cares if other countries enjoy the Super Bowl. And some of us actually enjoy soccer. - jepizacar, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1nice resource....

- gispilot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is pretty cool. I landed a NHL 2001 NJ Devils Stanley Cup Champs (lost to Colorado) and when I asked I was told it should have been destroyed.
