- Linguo, on 03/04/2009, -6/+34Wow, it's almost like this is how Brett Favre should have handled the twilight of his career...not like a huge bitch.
- Garthquake10, on 03/04/2009, -0/+23$15 million signing bonus?!?! This guy played his cards right. Anytime you can get guaranteed money in the NFL is a victory
- Sonique99, on 03/04/2009, -1/+24I have a lot of respect for Warner now. Willing to take a pay cut to keep Boldin? What a team player.
Same goes for Fitzgerald too. - Jabrams2, on 03/04/2009, -0/+12pun intended on the "cards"? lol
- cubicledrone, on 03/05/2009, -1/+7Put this man in the Hall of Fame.
- MatzahMan, on 03/05/2009, -1/+7This guy is an example of true awesomeness and great character.
- piratearggghhh, on 03/05/2009, -0/+5This is how it should be - prove yourself and get paid. Not like those whining little bitch prima donna rookie QBs who were once the top dog and hold out on training camp and demand crazy contracts. Then later they cry foul when they suck and/or get hurt (see Leinart, Young etc.)
- sgerwel1985, on 03/05/2009, -1/+5Ya know, i am so glad that Warner will be in the league for another 2 years. This is a man of tremendous values and excellent character, a real dying breed in the NFL. This is a great day for the Cardinal organization, fans and most importantly the NFL. I hope that this man's personality can rub off on all the young talent coming into the league.
- GregFD3S, on 03/05/2009, -1/+5Dammit.
I was hoping he would sign with the 49ers. - inactive, on 03/05/2009, -0/+3This is a great deal hope you can keep it up.
- thisisnotreal, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2There's a break for Arizona. If they can patch up their defense they'll be a serious contender next season.
- agentsrecord, on 03/04/2009, -4/+6That's class with a capital K.
- inactive, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2He's a class act. Here is a list of thugs and ne'er-do-wells who could learn a thing or two from Warner.
http://forums.palmettofootballtalk.com/eve/forums/ ... - Dimitri95, on 03/05/2009, -1/+3I am glad they worked out a deal with Warner. Hopefully, Boldin will stay also. Their offence has great chemistry with Warner throwing to Boldin, Breaston, and Fitzgerald.
- e8989, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2This is good news for the Cardinals and all...but seriously, if they get into the playoffs again, I reaaaaally don't want to have to hear Madden talking about the annoying "underdog" story every week.
- TomK88, on 03/05/2009, -1/+3Ya, it's this cool concept called "capitalism" where you're paid for what you contribute to society based on a free market principle. You should learn about the advantages of such a system some time.
- inactive, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2if warner is not paying your rent then why do you care
- joncannon, on 03/06/2009, -0/+1He'll be there even if it was just based on his incredible 1999 season.
First year as starter in the NFL: regular season MVP, Super Bowl MVP and most importantly Super Bowl world champion. - N837AW, on 03/05/2009, -0/+1Yeah, makes sense to me. His grit wins you the NFC Championship and nearly the Super Bowl, and you replace him with an unproven quarterback on the professional front whose most famous move last year was his picture with a beer bong on?
- inactive, on 03/05/2009, -1/+2Wow, I'm surprised that he actually got that much money. Though I guess the salary cap has gotten kind of high and I guess there is a shortage of quarterbacks in the free agency market. Bad news for Leinert, the cardinals must not think very highly of his potential.
- crunchdigg, on 03/05/2009, -1/+2I hear you make more money than some people. You should work for minimum wage.
- BrokenVisage, on 03/05/2009, -1/+2By the grace of God he will be paid! Praise Jeebus!
But seriously, I loved Warner in St. Louis and was very happy to see him make this resurgence. I'm a hardcore Eagles fan and I STILL couldn't root against this guy when he was playing us in the NFC Championship. It's great to know he's practically a shoe-in for the Hall now too, this guy is nothing but class and one of the greatest passers I've ever seen, with and without a glove on. Wish him all the luck and hope he gets back to another Super Bowl. - theAzone, on 03/06/2009, -0/+0We was using the 49ers, I don't know why they didn't see that
- inactive, on 03/05/2009, -1/+1Yeah, it's pretty cool when someone that millions of people pay to watch play a game and to wear his jersey actually gets to keep a large chunk of the money that he earns for the company that employs him.
This country is *****' awesome!!!! Hell yea!! Go America!!! - inactive, on 03/05/2009, -1/+1Funny how these guys make such a ridiculous amount of money in an economy where people are willing to spend a lot of money to watch them play a game that they supposedly love.
- masteriiv, on 03/05/2009, -0/+0Bad example - Matt Leinart hasn't had a chance to prove himself because Warner keeps playing.
- mauigreen, on 03/05/2009, -3/+2as a niner fan i am SO GLAD he didnt sign with the niners! I've spent many years rooting against him (cuz he was a real threat). too much money for a 38 year old quarterback anyways
- Shawon, on 03/05/2009, -3/+2Um Brett Favre didn't want to sign a big contract, he just wanted to be named the starter for the Packers. The Packers weren't trying to not give him money, they just didn't want him to be starter, so there's a big difference there, so I dunno how you can compare this to Favre and call him a huge bitch.
Cards are telling Warner they want to give him less money, but they want him as starter. Packers were telling Favre to either sit on the bench or retire because they didn't want to trade or release him. Not even close to being the same thing. Favre haters. - AlterLite, on 03/05/2009, -3/+0http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/story?id=09000d5d8066ae ...
Article is a year old, but it holds true since the Patriots failed to make playoffs this year. - inactive, on 03/05/2009, -4/+1Watch Warner turn back into his fumbling turnover prone self next season. Super bowl losers always miss the next year's playoffs, and the cardinals will not be the exception.
- norml2000, on 03/05/2009, -6/+2Funny how these guys make such a ridiculous amount of money when the economy is in the shape its in, for a game they supposedly love.
- immatellyouwhat, on 03/05/2009, -7/+2Don't ***** it up this time, mmkay Warner?
- superherofive, on 03/05/2009, -7/+2Good to see another person getting paid a super large amount of money to run around after a ball while a large group of Americans struggle to pay their bills.
This country is *****' awesome!!!! Hell yea!! Go America!!! - 1dog, on 03/05/2009, -6/+1They should of let him walk. He's old and imoblie. Theres no way they get back to the Superbowl next year, and the guyes like 38. They should of let the USC guy take over.
