- Scremf, on 03/03/2009, -0/+11TJ Who's your mama.
- j0hn, on 03/03/2009, -3/+14Seattle fans REJOICE!!!!!!!
- JGang05, on 03/03/2009, -0/+11You will be missed in Cincy Housh! Good luck with the Hawks!
- firstyear7d, on 03/03/2009, -2/+12Still the best wide receiver in Seahawks history...
http://www.dailysportscard.com/content/1977-topps- ... - Xviper78, on 03/03/2009, -0/+9I wish Chad could have left in his place. Stay classy TJ and keep kicking ass in Seattle.
- niradg, on 03/03/2009, -0/+8The Seahawks are going to have to use a smaller font on their uniforms next year
- murraj2, on 03/03/2009, -2/+9He may be the best offensive player available in free agency, but that doesn't mean he can turn a team around. He's gonna be 32 this season, and has been a pro-bowler once in 8 years. He's probably not even a top 10 WR in the league right now, Seattle has much bigger problems than WR.
- woofers07, on 03/03/2009, -2/+9To all the haters, and there's plenty of you out there being a NW Sports fan it's all you deal with, the Hawks were RIDDLED with injuries last year. I'd like anyone to give me an example of a team throughout NFL history that had to deal with what they did. They lost their top 6 receivers before having to pick people off the street. Hasselbeck out half the season, Hall of Famer Walter Jones and half the D was playing with injuries. They will be a threat next year, probably not a SB threat but definitely a post-season threat.
- Xviper78, on 03/03/2009, -0/+6GO ***** YOURSELF! So much for being classy
- wonko33, on 03/03/2009, -0/+6I feel bad for Palmer, he looks like he's a stand up guy but he is caught into that cesspool in Cinci.
- tod07, on 03/03/2009, -1/+6Go Seahawks!!
- j0hn, on 03/03/2009, -0/+5No chance of going anywhere? Did you forget they made it to the Superbowl 2 years ago? If it wasn't for the injuries in the WR\QB position they would have made it a hell of a lot further than they did. This is a perfect pickup for seattle, and it opens a spot for a good offensive lineman or defensive lineman for them, which they need just as bad. You'll be seeing a lot more out of Seattle next year.
- billmill, on 03/03/2009, -0/+5Cincy has alot of work to do after this, well, they had alot of work to do before this.. Chad Johnson would be good if the offensive line could protect Palmer better, and he lost a little bit of the attitude.
- Axxion, on 03/03/2009, -1/+6Happy day for me being a Seahawks fan.
- stockjones, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4Damn I wanted the Niners to grab him. This guy is up and above Chad Johnson in my book.
- Shadic, on 03/03/2009, -1/+5Whoo! Griffey and now... This guy. I've stopped paying attention to sports for a while now. But it sounds like I should start paying attention to Seattle again.
- kmiller7, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4***** Mr. Yellow.
- hokeywebb22, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4How can you say hes not in the top 10? he was 6th in the league in receptions with 92. He didnt have alot of tds or yards but its hard to break away when the defense your playing doesnt have to worry about the run or the other wr you have. And with those 92 catches he had 0 fumbles. This guy is still a top 10 talent that is just stuck on a team that cant get the job done.
I think seattle is a decent fit for him. They aren't a high powered offense and I think he is a good fit as a solid receiver that makes the catch and gets the 1st down. - j0hn, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4The team doesn't need to be turned around. They needed a top WR, and that's what he is.
- JGang05, on 03/03/2009, -1/+5He was better off in Cincy. Top 12 defense and Carson Palmer throwing to you.
- FurryToaster, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4Am I the only one who is surprised to learn that TJ's 31? Not that it's a bad thing ... I just thought he was younger than that. Hope Mo Morris likes Detroit ... THAT was all about the MONEY.
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3Yea like the Seahawks are just spiting out Superbowls.
- SmilinGoat, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3this really does make me happy, considering i am a seahawks fan, but now i really need to learn to pronounce that...
- tyscott, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3Viks need a QB before anything. Housh signing with the Viks would have been better than going back to Cincy, but not better than signing with Seattle. No way. The Viks still have no chance with the QBs they have. With Matt healthy, Seattle always has a chance.
- DivineLies, on 03/03/2009, -5/+8still think the vikings would of been the best choice..but the seahawks will be better than last year if they can stay healthy.
- barkerja, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3Amen.
- doobiebrother, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3TJ Houshamazillie..... CHAMPIONSHIP!
- e8989, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3A free agent DIDN'T go to the Broncos? Wow...this IS news
- sugarazor, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3Biggest mistake he'd ever make would be sticking with the Bengals... who are completely ***** without him.
- rpieszak, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3"Championship"
- Fixhotep, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Here ya go
"If I have to make a choice between the best team and the best money? I'm not stupid, man. I'll take the money."
Seattle offered $2m more.

Shame, I guess. - rebelcommander, on 03/03/2009, -1/+3Sweet, the Hawks need someone good for next year!
- AsgardsAvenger, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Vikings fan here - I think this is a good signing for the 'Hawks, and I'm not overly disappointed that the Vikings missed out. I think Housh went for the money, as he was waxing poetic about playing with AP just a couple of days ago. As for the Vikings, I'm more interested in the Cutler trade rumors, as QB's a much bigger question mark for the Vikings than WR.
- Fixhotep, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2He is a #2 because he faced the defenses #2 corner, Johnson faced the #1. Sure, he had better numbers. But numbers dont make you the #1 if the defense doesnt even put their best corner on you.
Still, he has gotten better over the years and is a very good #2. - j0hn, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2I love you.
- DivineLies, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2well considering he wanted to play with a "contender" the vikings would of been the best choice. even if the seahawks are improved they still aren't going to win. the may make the playoffs in whats prob going to be the sad nfc west again. but, the vikings have a much better chance of winning in the playoffs!
- Fixhotep, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Sure, he is better than Rosenfels, but is he really THAT much better? He hasnt been to the pro bowl in 2 years, and that was only because the NFC had no one else to send.
Who will run the ball in Seattle? signing him makes them that much more of a one-dimensional offense. That's the exact problem he would have fixed in Minn. The O and D line isn't anything when compared to Minnesota's.
Quite frankly, given the "priorities" he put forth, it was a no-brainer. Other than coach, that is. Minn and Seattle have ***** coaches.
Yea, that's right. - smacksaw, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2I can say he's not in the top 10. The Seahawks needed a legitimate #1 WR, not an ageing #2.
Houshmandzadeh is a nice WR, but he's a #2.
Anyway, it's easy to come up with 10 better WRs because the guy at the top of the depth chart of more than half of the teams in the NFL are better than TJ. That's why they're #1 and he is not, nor has he ever been.
But hey, let's not cloud the truth with facts. - kingtobo, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Obviously losing the Sonics sucked -- but between this, Griffey and The Sounders, Seatte sports is doing pretty well (or atleast potentially doing well...)
- wonko33, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Mo deserves to be a number 1 somewhere, he had to sit all these years behind that pussy Alexander. Alexander was really just a little man standing on the shoulders of giants (W Jones and Steve Hutchinson)
I was talking to someone who covers the hawks and he said Hutch left because he was tired of blocking for Alexander,
Anyway.. GO MO - OMGRussellCrowe, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2If the Hawks stay healthy, they do have a legitimate shot of competing for the NFC West.
- hokeywebb22, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2he is a number 1. He beat every other WR on the bengals in every category. just because he was labeled number 2 before the season started doesnt mean hes not better then then the guy that was above him. Ocho Cinco did nothing this year.
TJ will be a solid number 1 WR for that team - belandrew, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1gay
- belandrew, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1than why the hell did we trade for Sage Rosenfels?
- DrWho520, on 03/04/2009, -0/+1That is an expensive #2 WR you got there.
- DrWho520, on 03/04/2009, -0/+1Until you realize Ocho-Cinco is not on the other side of the field.
- kmiller7, on 03/03/2009, -1/+2Hey bitter Vikings fan; if TJ wanted to go to a team with no quarterback, then MAYBE he should have gone to the Vikings. But alas, he chose to catch passes from a Pro Bowl quarterback like Matt Hasselbeck. Shame, I guess.
- DrWho520, on 03/04/2009, -0/+1He is an expensive #2 possession receiver. He no longer has Ocho-Cinco to distract DBs, but I guess that does not matter in the NFC West.
- AsgardsAvenger, on 03/06/2009, -0/+1Because Chilli's an idiot.
