- digg it
- VeniceCA, on 04/18/2008, -10/+20This could be a top 100 NFL list for 2008 and I'd still digg it. Counting down to pre-season!
- mydigga, on 04/18/2008, -21/+12The Browns landed 3 Monday night games, plus a Thursday and a Sunday Night. Here comes a Super Bowl run!
- BinaryDelt, on 04/18/2008, -10/+6HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO!
- jcaino, on 04/18/2008, -10/+4hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhaahhaaha. thanks - needed that!
- ttucp, on 04/18/2008, -1/+7As a Browns fan I'd love to see a SB run, but I'm pretty skeptical based upon the strength of schedule the AFC North teams are up against. The Browns and Steelers have the most brutal schedule in the league. As much as I hate to say it, I foresee the AFC North teams going something like Browns 8-8, the hated Steelers 8-8, the much hated Ravens 6-10, and the #@$^%& Bengals 5-11. It's gonna be rough for the AFCN this fall.
- psychotron, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2I bet come the 3rd MNF game everyone will be "why the ***** did they give them 3 monday games?".
- peterjmag, on 04/18/2008, -13/+6Top 1 Can't-Miss Game of 2008: The Superbowl. Oh wait...
- plizard, on 04/18/2008, -10/+2i think a game where the saints won
- TIN37820, on 04/18/2008, -10/+0No Eagles game? I feel robbed.
- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2Just take a walk in West Philly. That'll cure your feeling.

- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2Just take a walk in West Philly. That'll cure your feeling.
- Ryansmellsfarts, on 04/18/2008, -6/+49Lions and niners? I think I can afford to miss that one =/
- yohnstoppable, on 04/18/2008, -2/+7Lions and niners and bears, oh my!
- c0baltfish, on 04/18/2008, -2/+2The only reason that one was cited along w/ Bills/Dolphins is because Martz and Parcells are playing against teams they previously coached. The media will make it seem like the games are epic even though the coaches and teams couldn't feel any less indifferent about it.
- MRintheKeys, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Bills/Dolphins is being cited because the game is being played in Toronto, Canada. Parcells previously coached the Cowboys, not the Bills. Plus, he's not even the coach of the Dolphins.
- mikhial66, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1I love how you state the only AFC East team that Parcels hasn't been apart of
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -1/+4I thought the same thing. Sort of an odd choice. Unless they mean it'll be good because it'll be to equally mediocre teams battling it out?
- HanSolo69, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3Come one, everyone needs a good laugh every now and again.
- StealthMonkey, on 04/18/2008, -0/+4[Referring to Chargers at Saints (in London)] "[T]his year's game at Wembley Stadium is a possible Super Bowl preview."
Why isn't this posted in the Comedy section?- Cerius, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1How so?
That the Super Bowl will be in Wembley or that neither team has a chance?
The Chargers have a lot better chance then you're giving them.
- Cerius, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1How so?
- fadetoone, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I can afford to miss most of those...
- alucinante, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I'll be watching but not for the reason stated.
- johneyoung, on 04/18/2008, -4/+12I really dislike the fact that my Bills are playing against their division rival in Toronto. Not only does it take away a home game, but they're going to have the dome closed! It's always fun seeing Miami come to Buffalo in the middle of winter. ;)
- jfp51, on 04/18/2008, -2/+1Plus, even if it does suck, it breaks the longstanding NFL commitment to not walk all over the CFL, which it could easily do.
- toxicredm, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't call 1 game a year (and a preseason game every other year) "walking all over them." Not like when the CFL tried to move into 8 cities in the U.S. in the mid 90's.
- epmc, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Only a matter of time before the Bills move to Toronto. Either that or they give T.O. a team in the next expansion.
- OneLess, on 04/19/2008, -0/+2I'm going to miss seeing the Frozen Phish this season :( But hey, if they're not frozen stiff they're easier for Marshawn to run over, so that's a plus.
Beast Mode '08 :)
- jfp51, on 04/18/2008, -2/+1Plus, even if it does suck, it breaks the longstanding NFL commitment to not walk all over the CFL, which it could easily do.
- antipoet, on 04/18/2008, -8/+5Even SI is jumping on the top-whatever list?
- fdsarawr, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1Why is this surprising? When do they NOT do a top-whatever list?
- duke1981, on 04/18/2008, -10/+4I can't wait for number 10 Seahawks all the way.
- DiggasWAttitude, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1I resent the fact that the only reason they say to watch is beacuse it might be Holmgren's last NFL game. What, they don't consider the Super Bowl an NFL game?
- 032483, on 04/18/2008, -12/+6Not a single Steelers game on the list? Buried.
- darthdurden, on 04/18/2008, -1/+4I'm a diehard steelers fan, but judging from their schedule this year, I'll be dreading just about every game. Unless we get that line fixed (unlikely)
- 032483, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I know...I'm hoping we're 10-6 again this year. Here we go...
- darthdurden, on 04/18/2008, -1/+4I'm a diehard steelers fan, but judging from their schedule this year, I'll be dreading just about every game. Unless we get that line fixed (unlikely)
- DavidJAugustyn, on 04/18/2008, -27/+3I analyzed today why I never watch football, and came to one conclusion: 2manyNigs
Buried. kthxbye- frishack, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3wow, is that your real name attached to that comment? Please somebody find and take this guy out.
- Danktolker, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Is it because they make you feel physically inadequate?
- petebot, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Look out everybody! Tough guy just discovered the internet!
- mannymix03, on 04/18/2008, -3/+9I love how the only game with the dolphins playing in it, is only special because it is being played in toronto. Oh the joys of being a dolphins fan!
- bogatash, on 04/18/2008, -5/+2610. Vikings at Packers, Sept. 8
9. Lions at 49ers, Sept. 21
8. Patriots at Chargers, Oct. 12
7. Chargers at Saints (in London), Oct. 26
6. Cowboys at Giants, Nov. 2
5. Patriots at Colts, Nov. 2
4. Colts at Chargers, Nov. 23
3. Colts at Browns, Nov. 30
2. Dolphins at Bills, Dec. 7
1. Seahawks at Cardinals, Dec. 28- mlvassallo, on 04/18/2008, -2/+3If the Seahawks can't manage a playoff berth this year the December 28th game in Arizona will be an emotional one for all Seahawks (and possibly still Packers) fans. Thanks for the last few amazing years Coach Holmgren! Let's hope it doesn't end in December!
- russelbutt, on 04/18/2008, -0/+5patriots vs chargers
chargers vs saints
colts vs chargers
it's gonna be a good year to be a san diego fan!! go bolts!! - Crosshare, on 04/18/2008, -3/+1A summary is kind of pointless without giving the reasons why the matchups are "can't miss"
- Nation, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1the sites does not give their reasons ... why would someone posting the string of page try to state what the original people were thinking?
- skribble, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3Kind of sucks to be the Colts in November. (They have the 2nd hardest Schedule after Pittsburgh)
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -9/+4England finally gets a couple good teams. Let's just hope the gameplay is better, as well.
And am I the only one getting sick of the Patriots/Colts game? I understand they have a great rivalry, but do we honestly need to see it every year? This is the sixth straight time these teams will meet. Getting boring, guys! Give us a break for a couple years, then renew the rivalry.- lvbronco, on 04/18/2008, -0/+7Well as long as both of the teams keeps winning their division they will play each other every year. Its the way the NFL does its scheduling; you play the team that finished in the same place as you in the division through your conference. Also these two teams are pretty good so they tend to meet in the playoffs as well. If you want them to stop playing each don't blame the NFL scheduling instead blame the other NFL teams.
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Didn't think of that. I guess I'll have to get used to seeing it because I don't want my Colts to lose the AFC South, and lord knows there isn't going to be another team besides the Patriots winning AFC East over the next few years...
- AsgardsAvenger, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1All #1 division winners play all the other division winners within the conference (and #2s play #2, etc). In other words, the rivalry will get a break when one of the teams doesn't win their division... provided it is in one of the years that the AFC East and AFC south don't play each other.
- Swarms, on 04/18/2008, -0/+5Finally gets a couple good teams? Yeah, the game in London sucked last year (because of the conditions) but one of those teams won the superbowl.
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2That's true, but no one really knew where the Giants were going at that point. Remember the previous season? 6-2, and then 2-6. And Manning wasn't playing the type of football that he was at the end of the season. They came together at the right time.
- Swarms, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1True, and maybe I'm biased because I'm a lifetime Giants fan, but I thought they did great from about the 4th week on, just didn't get any respect. Finally in the superbowl their defensive line got some respect.
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2That's true, but no one really knew where the Giants were going at that point. Remember the previous season? 6-2, and then 2-6. And Manning wasn't playing the type of football that he was at the end of the season. They came together at the right time.
- tehjarvis, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3They wouldn't play each other every year if the Pats didn't play in the weakest division in football.
- lvbronco, on 04/18/2008, -0/+7Well as long as both of the teams keeps winning their division they will play each other every year. Its the way the NFL does its scheduling; you play the team that finished in the same place as you in the division through your conference. - Trav3133, on 04/18/2008, -8/+7Yeah Football!
- TJ11240, on 04/18/2008, -6/+16Go pack go
I'm anxious for rodgers, but I think he's had enough time. They didn't get to 13-3 and the championship game on Favre alone.- anillop, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3I cant wait for the Bears - Packers match ups. Its going to be a rough year for GB. Unfortunately they did get that far because of Farve.
- Managua8Green, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2Yes, I kind of excited with rodgers, I believe he has the potentional. I did play solid in the playoffs.
its going to be a fun year..... hopefully.- Tolzmaniac, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2You played in the playoffs?
- Managua8Green, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1I think, at this point, it really doesn't matter....
- Tolzmaniac, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2You played in the playoffs?
- DeFex, on 04/18/2008, -7/+4thats about 900 minutes of advertising there.
- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -8/+3If those are the 10 best games, we're in for a mediocre season. Hell, it barely qualifies as a list. One game is about Mike Martz, 2 are notable because they're out of the country and having the Seahawks OR Cardinals on the list for any reason is a stretch. I don't care if Steve Largent was going to be covered by Pat Tillman's zombie corpse, there is never anything notable about either of those teams. Ever.
- adhocadhoc, on 04/18/2008, -7/+1Sport Illustrated goofed up. Check out 9of10 granted it's CFL but that's the bluejays 2008 opening game. could have at least put a CFL game lollll @ tony dungy.
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Didn't even notice that. Good job, SI!
- visceroth, on 04/18/2008, -7/+1Without any reasoning to back-up why I shouldn't miss the games? Wow if that's all it take to make a Top-10 list for SI, I'm in the wrong business.
- IAmTheGuy, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Ahhh but they do supply a reason. If you squint your eyes you can see a brief blurb next to the upper right corner of the picture that usually amounts to "Team A got beaten by team B last year and wants revenge."
- c0baltfish, on 04/18/2008, -8/+5Buried for not citing the Cowboys / 49ers Thanksgiving game.
- mlvassallo, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3Funny... the Cowboys are playing the Seahawks on Thanksgiving. Maybe that's why they didn't mention it.
- c0baltfish, on 04/18/2008, -3/+1Whoops got it wrong it was the Sunday before Thanksgiving, regardless Cowboys/49ers not cited = buried.
- mlvassallo, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3Funny... the Cowboys are playing the Seahawks on Thanksgiving. Maybe that's why they didn't mention it.
- slutjammer, on 04/18/2008, -5/+2GO HAWKS!
- jetblackz4, on 04/18/2008, -7/+22Patriots are cheaters !!!
I hope they lose every game this year.
As the saying goes cheater never win.- dema, on 04/18/2008, -1/+6Too bad they have the easiest schedule of all 32 teams...
- alucinante, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2actually that's skewed.. they have their bye in the first month, and they are old.., they'll be lucky if they finish with 12 wins.
- dema, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1I'm not predicting how many games they will win or lose, just saying that schedule is ridiculous. I suppose that'll happen in the AFC East though, lol. On the contrary, the poor Steelers are in for a rough season...
- alucinante, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2actually that's skewed.. they have their bye in the first month, and they are old.., they'll be lucky if they finish with 12 wins.
- Crosshare, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Ahem... http://www.bustedtees.com/18-1
- dema, on 04/18/2008, -1/+6Too bad they have the easiest schedule of all 32 teams...
- ImYourRealDad, on 04/18/2008, -2/+8Pats/Colts
Chargers/Colts
Browns/Colts
Colts have a couple of rough games ahead.- SnuKs, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Chargers/Pats/Colts.. mix-n-match, it's always a good game.
- yournightmare, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2You forgot Colts/Jaguars. They play the Jags twice and only won by 3 the last time they played them (in December).
- SnuKs, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Chargers/Pats/Colts.. mix-n-match, it's always a good game.
- T8erT0T, on 04/18/2008, -0/+15Dolphins vs Bills? #2?
I can definitely afford to miss a LOLphins game anytime they take the field.- puddgomez, on 04/18/2008, -2/+0Plus who cares about the Bills....they are up there with the Browns on my list of teams I never think about
- T8erT0T, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1Edit: Dolphins vs Bills is 8 of 10 on the list. Even still, for them to be in a top 10 for '08 is ridiculous.
- puddgomez, on 04/18/2008, -2/+0Plus who cares about the Bills....they are up there with the Browns on my list of teams I never think about
- albinorhino101, on 04/18/2008, -7/+1Seriously people, it's April...Can we forget about the NFL for a few more months? I like football as much as the next guy but I'm sick of fact that the stupidest little bit of news in the NFL completely overshadows anything in any other sport.
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1It's only because the schedule was just released.
- bld1777, on 04/18/2008, -0/+0just caused they released the dates doesnt mean people didnt already know who each team would be playing which they annouced 4 months ago
- petebot, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Yeah I know right? Can't I just watch my 135 baseball games in peace?
- RJLaframboise, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1It's only because the schedule was just released.
- chinolofus, on 04/18/2008, -8/+2hopefully i will miss every football game this year
- pasta2000, on 04/18/2008, -10/+3The NFL won't be the same without Brett Favre.
Or is he really gone for good? - http://digg.com/football/Brett_Favre_First_Part_Ti ...- anillop, on 04/18/2008, -2/+1It will be far better, maybe a few less interceptions. Farve will not be missed.
- Ninjapope, on 04/18/2008, -5/+3Go Bengals...
...
I'll leave :(- SnuKs, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1...and so will Ocho Cinco
- kurupt, on 04/18/2008, -5/+4Title is inaccurate. This isn't a "Top 10" list but a "Ten Can't Miss Games" list. They've missed some great games. Raiders vs. Patriots - Randy Moss returns to Oakland for the first time since being traded. Steelers vs. Browns at the end of the year - that's a rivalry game with the Browns actually being a more formidable opponent. Still, it's going to be hard to top the Colts/Patriots game. That rivalry game is always great.
- sweeper13, on 04/18/2008, -8/+5No Jags games? This list can eat *****
- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -0/+6You ought to just rename yourselves "Who?" because it doesn't matter if you won 3 Super Bowls in a row, no one is ever paying attention to the Jags.
Jags/Steelers rematch is a huge game. SI are retards. If they put the Seachickens and the Fraudinals on the list and not you, there's no hope no matter how awesome you guys may be.- themutt22, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2The Seahawks and Cardinals are on there because it is Coach Holmgren's last game. He is one of the premier coaches in the league (Coached Farve, Hasselbeck). You can be sure that he will be one of the media darlings this year.
Seahawks aren't shabby either... 4 consecutive playoff appearances (tied with Patriots for second longest streak) with the three most recent winning at least a game in the playoffs. They're good right now, whether you know it or not. Then again, it is Egypt out here, eh?- lokee73, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Preach on brother.
- themutt22, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2The Seahawks and Cardinals are on there because it is Coach Holmgren's last game. He is one of the premier coaches in the league (Coached Farve, Hasselbeck). You can be sure that he will be one of the media darlings this year.
- fdsarawr, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1*****...you better just hope the Jags don't come to LA...since they're thinking about having an existing team move there, I think the Jags are likely candidate since WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT JACKSONVILLE!?!
- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -0/+6You ought to just rename yourselves "Who?" because it doesn't matter if you won 3 Super Bowls in a row, no one is ever paying attention to the Jags.
- Xanrez, on 04/18/2008, -7/+2GO COLTS!
- yacks, on 04/18/2008, -5/+5Buried for considering the Colts vs the Patriots as the biggest rivals.. maybe in recent history and mainly because they are just big powerhouses at the moment..
- dema, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1Uhm, this rivalry has existed since both teams were in the same conference decades ago... Hell they even have a wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colts-Patriots_rivalr ...
- misterteenwolf, on 04/18/2008, -6/+2with brett favre gone, its gonna be hard for me to consider any game "can't-miss"
- whatthefu, on 04/18/2008, -4/+12Patriots vs. Colts isn't the NFL's "best rivalry." It's a stupid one that won't be around in ten years. The best rivalries are the like the Packers and the Bears or the Redskins and the Cowboys. Hell, most division games are better than the ***** Patriots vs. the Colts.
- TJ11240, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Its no more of a rivalry than any other matchup of good teams. Tradition can't be beat.
- Crosshare, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I would add Broncos Raiders opening Monday Night football this year. With the additions the Raiders have had the two teams will be on roughly the same level and Javon Walker playing his old team to add some additional bad blood.
- bblande, on 04/18/2008, -5/+5Here's hoping Manning gets hurt in the Browns game and they have to play Jim Sorgi.
- TJ11240, on 04/18/2008, -2/+1Both mannings.
- joeblow1102, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1Did anyone else notice another story about the NBA playoffs and that goofy picture of Kurt Thomas?
- Jay730, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3yes! Only 139 days until kick off!
- Pawfoots, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1the panthers will hopefully come through . . . it's been a while.
- Conwaysb0718, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1opening day against the chargers... I predict you start week 2 with a record of 0-1.
- sloppychris, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1They forgot to mention the Chargers / Saints game will feature former Charger QB Drew Brees will face off against his former backup Phillip Rivers.
- SnuKs, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1That was supposed to be SB XLII
- Landlocked, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Woohoo - the Browns are playing several primetime games this season!
- ScottoGato, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Because they're playing games against the NFC East. You're welcome.
- tehjarvis, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1The Browns are horribly overrated this season. 5 primetime games? BLAH.
I'm not convinced Derek Anderson is the answer in Cleveland, and I'm sure this season the Browns will show their true colors and continue to be the fluke they really are. I mean, when was the last time they've even been in the playoffs?- morgan14, on 04/19/2008, -0/+0That would be 2002, lost 36-33 to the Steelers, not sure what that has to do with them being overrated. It is a young team that won 10 games last year and they will only be better this year barring injuries.
- Elisabeth1970zk, on 04/18/2008, -3/+0http://usanews444.blogspot.com/
- morgino, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1My Chargers are on the list 3 times. Do I sense a changing of the guard. Hell yeah people, get ready to hear that disco Charger song that you hate so much over and over!
- ApolloXLII, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2hahaha one of them was Chargers vs. Saints. yeah it's gonna be in London, but he went on to say it was a possible Superbowl preview. Chargers? maybe... Saints? Two seasons ago they had a fluke year and this past season was proof. Don't forget, they still have to beat out the Panthers AND the Buccaneers (We're not even gonna talk about the Falcons for another few years). Panthers should have an ok season, but dont be surprised if the Bucs go deep into the playoffs.
- meed, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1who the hell makes this list? You can't even guesstimate which teams will play well until the season is underweigh. Personally the games I won't miss are the ones envolving the cowboys and the various devision leaders.
- Kugo, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2Wankers.
- CollateralDmg, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Three Chargers games on that list? Excellent! Go Bolts!
- bubbameister33, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2The funny thing about football is that all of these games could wind up being "should miss" instead of "can't miss". I'm just saying.
- ChaosProfessor, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1packers vikings needs to bee moved to number 1 because of the retiring of favres jersey
- fangor, on 04/19/2008, -1/+0Buried for being irrelevant jock *****.
- themutt22, on 04/19/2008, -0/+0Please don't make digg like middle school. Next we'll have posers, preps and skaters.
I'm pretty nerdy and I enjoy football.
- themutt22, on 04/19/2008, -0/+0Please don't make digg like middle school. Next we'll have posers, preps and skaters.
