- FearisFailure, on 10/28/2008, -2/+26They are doing it without their so called STAR quarterback too!
- Ourcellardoor, on 10/28/2008, -1/+18Any team who can consistently get sacks on the quarterback by only sending the front four deserves the title of the "NFL's Best Team."
- serif69, on 10/28/2008, -1/+12That sounds so familiar... where have I heard that before? Oh yeah. 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994.

It had to be done.
If anyone can add some Persian messengers getting owned that'd be peachy. I lack actual photoshop skills so that's outside of my realm. - serif69, on 10/28/2008, -1/+10Congratulations to the Titans on their season so far; they deserve it. As a lifelong Giants fan (read: cynic), I am still in shock that not only did we win the Superbowl last year, but we are being mentioned as potentially being the best team in the league. I certainly don't think we really deserve the mention, since we've won some pretty ugly games, but the Titans definitely do.
- infamousjre, on 10/28/2008, -3/+11since when is 31-21 a routing?
- shutaro, on 10/28/2008, -6/+13Booooo! Go [local sports team]!!!

Thanks for the constructive criticism andrewlotta you dick. - hdhock3y, on 10/28/2008, -0/+7At cheating
- thredden, on 10/28/2008, -0/+7Just to let you guys know, the Titans and Predators are the only two pro teams ever in Nashville. both have had 10+ seasons, and get this...
They have only had two coaches total, for both teams. Jeff Fisher and Barry Trotz are the only coaches Nashville has ever known. To me a Nashville Native, that's the best stat I could ever see. In todays fickle pro environment where coaches get fired after only 10% of a seasons(see Chicago Blackhawks) thats incredible and I think says alot about this city. - IRAcarbombs, on 10/28/2008, -0/+6Big ups to the Titans. They are getting it done with the same concept that got them to the SuperBowl yrs ago, running the football and putting foot to ass on D. Jeff Fisher has done a remarkable job getting this team back on track since the "Pacman" problem and the "Haynesworth" face stomp. Now if only they could only get 1 or 2 recievers that can catch maybe Vince can come back and really make this a versitle squad.
- mrhaasguy, on 10/28/2008, -4/+10It would be hilarious if their first loss is to the lions....
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4The last touchdown doesn't really count, if you watched the game is was pure domination by the Titans.
- mustang30266, on 10/28/2008, -1/+5Yeah, having a perfect record because you beat teams like the Chiefs, Bengals, and Texans is not impressive.
- Jeepinator, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4Doubt it. They have no run defense and that's what the Titans are all about. Though they did pass much more than often this Monday.
- supermanly, on 10/28/2008, -0/+4When it's the Titans winning
OOOH BURNED
My Steelers are much worse off so I won't say anymore. - PGPirate, on 10/28/2008, -1/+5Chris Johnson is a BEAST
- DinosWillDie13, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4as a colts fan, i tip my hat to you. the division is yours.
- drunkmuppet, on 10/28/2008, -1/+4Don't forget the stellar performance by Chris Johnson the 1st year rookie straight out of East Carolina U!!!
- FlaG8r, on 10/29/2008, -0/+3You're bashing a guy for being a recovering alcoholic? Are you upset that he quit?
- nishimori, on 10/28/2008, -0/+3Jeff Fisher + Mustache + No Vince Young = Division Champions!
- nishimori, on 10/28/2008, -0/+3and probably Rookie of the year
- mustang30266, on 10/28/2008, -1/+4Packers (4-3), Bears (4-3), Jaguars (3-4) and the Jets (4-3)? Then week 5 is the Lions.
- nishimori, on 10/28/2008, -0/+3Couldn't agree more... I do wish Trotz would grow a mustache though.
- hodedofome, on 10/29/2008, -0/+2The Titans have looked good, for sure. However who have they played? Baltimore and Minnesota are pretty good, but they aren't Super Bowl contenders (IMO). After they play Green Bay we'll get a better idea, and definitely after they play the Steelers.
- bulldog4083, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2im a life long Titans fan here...Im beginning to think that Vince was holding the Titans back
- mustang30266, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2They're not that good at cheating, they got caught!
- gdonald, on 10/29/2008, -0/+2When the spread is only 4, that's when.
- jnadro52, on 10/28/2008, -1/+3Go Giants ;-)
- Ourcellardoor, on 10/29/2008, -0/+2Which one is that?
The Giants which choked to the 3-4 Browns?
The 4-3 Cowboys whose players cannot be controlled?
The Redskins (or Cowboys) who lost to the Rams?
Or the Eagles whose hyped up 4-3 start has been paltry at best?
The Panthers are poised to take the NFC's spot with a 6-2 record and with the Raiders, Lions and Falcons as their next opponents.
...But it won't matter, because the Titans are getting it done. - infamousjre, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2go steelers!
- metapop, on 10/28/2008, -2/+4the most amazing part about this is that this unbeaten run started with a quarterback (who has since been replaced) which was depressed and borderline suicidal...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=358463 ...
collins has done a phenomenal job and despite not having the big names of eddie george, steve mcnair and other titans players from 10 years ago, i think this will be the titans' best season yet. - talonstriker, on 10/29/2008, -0/+2Its uncanny how no matter who the Giants plug into the front 4, the DL manages to get to the QB.
This from a fan of team (Redskins) whose defensive line can't move the offensive line off the line of scrimmage. - harrisbradley, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2I think the Colts would be much better if Manning remembered Marvin Harrison was on his team. He never even turns his head to the right to look to the receiver. He first looks left at Reggie Wayne, and then dumps it to Dallas Clark pretty much every time. I think this point in time we have the worst set of football coaches to have call plays in the history of football.
(okay, I'm pissed off I lost in fantasy football last night) - nishimori, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1no retard he didn't
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1Titans havent played any team worth it, what there combined record for the teams is like 14-29, that aint nothing..they beat a pathetic Colts team...there nothing to get hyped about, they will fall bad when they play the good teams.
- orangekid13, on 10/30/2008, -0/+1what were they when the titans beat them? not above .5
dugg down for hypocritical ***** investigation - adriancito75, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1fantastic!!!! thank you
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1yeh, ***** the bills. and i live in buffalo too.
- layfield02, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1full of sh*t at all?
- adamgerst, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1I had to dig you up on this for stating the fact that they need receivers. Everyone's saying that Vince isn't that great (I've got news for you, Collins isn't that great either, he just happens to manage the game a wee bit better right now), but if people would stop and count all the dropped passes by the god awful receivers they'd understand that he's actually pretty decent. I'm not saying he's the best QB ever, but man, get some ***** receivers and cut him some slack. That being said, pairing up Johnson with White has been a fantastic combo (and I hate Lendale). I just hope those 2 stay healthy, otherwise the offense is boned....
- FlaG8r, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1Nick Harper was running Harrison's routes for him last night. Marvin has very obviously lost at least a step.
- tehnico, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Well if GB stacks the box with Atari Bigby (used to play linebacker) that leaves Kerry Collins to beat them in the air. Suddenly the best press/man to man coverage in the league has a decent chance of shutting them out. If they do force the Titans to win in the air, GB has a league leading 59.5 defensive passer rating. In other words the toughest opponent for any QB right now is the GB secondary.
The reason they passed the ball that much was because Indy was stacking the box, but their cover 2 defense left so much room for Collins to exploit. That room doesn't exist with a list of DB's like Woodson, Harris, Nick Collins, Aaron Rouse, Atari Bigby, Tramon Williams, and Will Blackmon.
Of course I'm not calling it for the Packers. I'm just saying it's a much more interesting match up in Tennessee this week than just 7-0 vs. 4-3. And probably the stiffest competition the Titans faced yet this season, as Indy is a shell of their former self. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -5/+6Dammit bills. This could've been your year but you had to ruin it. Dammit.
- Sitbacknwatch, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1ahhh good old keith bullock.. Went to highschool with my brother and played little league with him. Dude used to come over and have dinner with us.. He's HUGE
- IRAcarbombs, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1EXACTLY!!!!! The style theyre playing right now is "playing not to lose" which is working thus far but eventually they are going to have to play to "win" and not fall 1yd short in the SuperBowl again...and that was def one of the top 5 Superbowl games ever, hands down.
- drifter, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1He honestly was, with his incessant crying and just *****. He is a great athelete but he is proving to be like Michael Vick. More trouble than he is worth.
And why the ***** am i being dug down. - hwy9nightkid, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1maybe because you misspelled something
- tehnico, on 10/31/2008, -0/+13-3 is not a winning team to me. Over .500 is a winning team. And yes Baltimore is considered a winning opponent now. What they were when you played them is not as accurate as what the team ended up becoming as the season goes on.
So Tenn. as it turns out has played one team with a winning record, and has beaten them. Because if they had lost to them, it would be a loss to a 5-2 team. And everyone would consider them pretenders because they can't beat good teams. - Ourcellardoor, on 10/29/2008, -0/+1I second that. The play was close until the second half. The last touchdown was just a stat-booster for the Colts. It was meaningless.
