- twertyto, on 11/20/2008, -7/+44Digg me down if you think football sucks.
- NeoCortex, on 11/21/2008, -1/+20How do you stop a charging Lion?
Put up a goal post. - spectre51, on 11/20/2008, -0/+18I think the officiating should have been ranked higher. It has been soooo bad this year its incredible. Something needs to be done.
- Greyscale88, on 11/20/2008, -1/+11..and still nobody talks about the Giants :(
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -0/+9The Titans and the Lions are the Patriots and Dolphins from last year but I don't think anyone saw that coming at all.
- bigstinky, on 11/21/2008, -0/+9The single most predictable thing about the NFL this season.
The Lions sucking balls. - spoofer56, on 11/20/2008, -0/+8I'm pretty sure everyone knew that the Lions were gonna suck this year.
Just like last year... and the one before... and the one before... - blinker265, on 11/20/2008, -1/+9the list is forgetting the 10-10 tie from last weeks eagles game
- vsujohn2, on 11/21/2008, -0/+7If you're gonna make a reference to something as rare as a tie in the NFL at least get the score right.
It was 13-13 - rockon4life45, on 11/20/2008, -0/+6Jett Favre can fix everything, he is a god after all.
Also, Kurt Warner. - Jabrams2, on 11/20/2008, -2/+8Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I'm pretty sure that Steelers Chargers game ruling had the spread in mind. How the hell do you go through all of that, then change it to the obvious wrong call when it doesn't matter regardless. Either way, the game is over and the Steelers win. So hey, why not make up a call that was never there and help the people betting the Chargers cover.
- Autodidaddict, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5A tie isn't surprising. It's not very common. But it's not surprising.
Unless you mention that McNabb himself didn't know a tie was possible...doh! Than maybe put it on the list, except it should read: "NFL veteran, team leader, marquee franchise player....doesn't know basic rules of the NFL" - hawk3210, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5As a Packers fan, that hit home.
***** Vikings, and ***** referees. That's all the Packers need. - Gndoab, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5I refuse to play your game.
- ceredron, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4How about how much the Browns ***** suck, despite a ton of unwarranted and unwanted hype by pretty much everyone.
I'm ***** dying over here from Ohio teams. And don't talk about the ***** crew (MLS), everyone knows major league american soccer doesn't count. - Imnick, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4Uhh... this list should be directed only at Fantasy football because thats what it mostly is... How bout Brady being up in the Top 3... the Pats were 16-0 last year and now theyre middle of the pack and you dont even put him on the list?! Or Payton and the Colts bombing?...
- chriscalifornia, on 03/31/2009, -0/+4Bit boring, but thanks for fitting it all on one page. Dugg!
- fenderjammer88, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3very true... they don't seem to be suffering from "Super Bowl Syndrome" at all... 9-1 is an impressive record, with being in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL...
- theduffster89, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4The AFC East is going to be the conference to watch this regular season....its gonna be really really close....probably gonna come down to the Jets vs. Doplphins game in Week 16 before we can crown an AFC East winner
- MagMan68Classic, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Congratulations and way to stick it out
Sincerely,
Lions Fan - Touie, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2What about Spencer Larsen, a rookie starting at linebacker and fullback in the same game for the Broncos.
- diemunkiesdie, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Don't worry guys! twertyto is talking about soccer! Not REAL football! Feel free to digg him down!
- anaesthetica, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2The Eagles 10-10 tie was from their 1997 game against the Ravens. Their most recent tie was 13-13 against the goddamn Bengals.
- Maxjan, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3Is it me or is EVERY new season the wackiest to date? doesn't it seem repetitive to say that line even though Digg is all about repetition?
- hooah212002, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Agreed. They definitely are not a dominating 10-0. All their games have been decided by a small margin.
But, 10-0 is still 10-0. - writer0213, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Eventhough I am a panthers fan, I'm quite surprise at how competitive the NFC South has been. It's been the most competitive conference in the league.
- dncarlson, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1That's not all the Packers need.
They also need a better place kicker. Someone like Ryan Longwell... oh wait. - psychotron, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1That might be...but as a non-Lions fans, I love the entertainment. It's funny, it's sad...then it's funny again!
- diskoh, on 11/20/2008, -1/+2Collins wasn't just "labeled" a racist, he called one of the Panthers receivers a n****** (yeah self-censoring is lame but I can't bring myself to type that). Having a good season doesn't mean he isn't a racist alcoholic anymore.
- snotrokit, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1The Bears really suck this year. oh wait, surprises? nevermind.
- desqjockey, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1NFL? In the bay area they black out the games on opposite the niners and raiders, neither of whom are worth watching (sooo bad for sooo long). Ive caught a few sunday night games but i cant say I follow the league any more.
- mizatt, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1I thought the stuff about old quarterbacks holding starting jobs everywhere was interesting. I think a lot of teams such as the Dolphins are realizing that it's more efficient to draw up some new plays and formations with multiple halfbacks than it is to stick with a shaky quarterback for his mobility. Guys like Vince Young who are notoriously mobile but have unreliable arms are moving back to the bench, if they're lucky.
- psychotron, on 11/20/2008, -1/+2The Lions are becoming increasingly dangerous with each passing week simply because it's very hard to go 0-16. They might end up playing spoilers for the Bucs, Vikings, Colts, Saints or Packers. Exciting!
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1The Titans are the AFC Champ Titans of the 2000-2004 seasons with Mike Heimerdinger back calling the plays and a very frightening defense stopping everything that is thrown at them. They even got Kearse back.
I just hope VY can hang with this offense when Collins goes to free agency next year. - istor, on 11/21/2008, -1/+2It's typical. It's particularly funny considering the Giants are the dominant team in the league, not the Titans... take Tennessee's defense... puh-leeze.
The Giants have outperformed the Titans across the board. Offense, Defense, and nearly every stat that's tracked.
The only edge the Titans have is their regular season record which a) isn't over yet so there's no telling who's will be better, b) is completely meaningless anyway... go ask the Patriots, and c) is completely nullified once you bring up strength of schedule.
The Giants dominated the number one run defense (the FORMER number one run defense) by running all over the Ravens. Tennessee did what... beat another sub .500 team... woohoo.
You can always tell which people talking about football don't actually know what they're talking about. This guy is one of them.
The naive talk about the Titans is starting to make me hope they go 19-0 so when the Giants repeat it's by knocking off another overrated team. - IShouldBeWorkin, on 11/20/2008, -1/+2Yes...I get all my sports news and commentary from Esquire...
- ButtSmudge, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1I'm surprised how many offensive rookies or first year players are doing so well for their teams. Usually its the defensive rookies that do well in their first year, and it takes offensive players a couple of years to develop. This year's rookie qb, running back and wrs are just outstanding.
- R2Bacca, on 11/23/2008, -0/+1Oh boy... and it looks like I was right. The Titans really aren't all they're cracked up to be. 34-13... 40:30 to 19:30 in TOP... can you say DOMINATED?
- Jackson0909, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1You only say that about the Titans because they don't run a flashy offense like the Patriots of last year. They are the Alabama Crimson Tide of the NFL.
- bearcat8543, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1i swear ill stop rooting for the browns if romeo is still there next year.
- blinker265, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1my bad
- Jackson0909, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1You suck.
- Gndoab, on 11/21/2008, -1/+2no.
- smrekar, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1leodis mckelvin
- hooah212002, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1.....AND he was going to kill himself...
- 1807, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1My thoughts exactly. No one predicted Brady getting hurt this season so early on.
- TheBigBad, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1highest completion percentage and lowest interception percentage since the Super Bowl came about.
- mizatt, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1he's thrown more picks than touchdowns every year of his career
