- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -7/+75There is no crying in football.
- rharris, on 10/29/2009, -8/+73Boom, head shot.
- Zoshchenko, on 10/29/2009, -7/+59Good coaching there. 20 years from now these kids are going to be sitting in a chair in front of a TV set drooling all over their bowl of oatmeal.
- waynejont, on 10/29/2009, -6/+50I anticipate a fine from the commission.
- nmoulana, on 10/29/2009, -3/+44fumble
- imnojezus, on 10/29/2009, -1/+37Good time to teach them NEVER to go helmet to helmet. You don't recover from a concussion, you just wait to see how bad the damage is.
- maximm, on 10/29/2009, -3/+31poor little guy hope he is okay.
- logstaa, on 10/29/2009, -4/+31.gif-worthy
- lcg9q3, on 10/29/2009, -1/+28Someone needs to teach them to tackle with their heads up. That's exactly how you end up with a spinal cord injury.
- r1y23, on 10/29/2009, -0/+22I imagine it hurts a lot now too though.
- samard2002, on 10/29/2009, -2/+22I think this clip says more about the "men" of the last generation, who are these kids' fathers. We weren't playing full contact football with pads and helmets when we were these kids ages. We started in junior high. These dads all want to raise their pro sports meal ticket.
- maddonkey, on 10/29/2009, -4/+23RIP HIS ***** HEAD OFF
- bicyclethief, on 10/29/2009, -4/+23Are you crying? ARE YOU CRYING?
There's no crying in Pop Warner! - chejrw, on 10/29/2009, -3/+20Next time keep your head up and take that hit like a man.
- Phenobarbital4U, on 10/29/2009, -2/+18my my my m m my my ma ma said my my m my ma ma my my ma ma said my ma ma my my my ma ma said my......
- evilregis, on 10/29/2009, -0/+14Dude, ***** seriously? A Canadian bitching about football being violent? Hockey is our sport and fighting and full-contact are as much a part of it as the ice it's played on. Get off your high horse, ffs.
- sgerwel1985, on 10/29/2009, -2/+16How do you come to such a conclusion from an 8 second video?
- perfunction, on 10/29/2009, -0/+13Hockey, rugby?
- pcpimpster, on 10/29/2009, -1/+13A few more of those and he'll be drinking his dinner through a straw. I assume the coaches teach them not to lower their heads like that.
- mtnn, on 10/29/2009, -4/+153 laps for getting leveled then 5 more for crying about it.
- CraigHwk, on 10/29/2009, -0/+11UFC?
- mtnn, on 10/29/2009, -0/+11I don't see how you made that connection but I'm guessing most things lead to touching little boys in showers with you.
- BigBambino, on 10/29/2009, -2/+13I wanted to say something mean, but then I heard the little guy crying afterwards....
- momomathew, on 10/29/2009, -0/+10Actually a fine should be directed at the coaches. This is a perfect example of how not to tackle. Any coach that would teach a football player to tackle with their head down like that needs to be locked up.
Great way to get a concussion, neck and spine injuries.
Most coaches I have found in youth leagues are the Dad's who are attempting to regain their "glory" years of HS. - Gorgonzola44, on 10/29/2009, -0/+10"Allegedly."
-Roger Goodell - ModernDayDarwin, on 10/29/2009, -2/+11hell I live in the US and I didn't know what it meant.
- lolwatermelon, on 10/29/2009, -1/+10Helmet to helmet collision is what kept Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson from going pro with football. It will ***** your spine up 12 different ways.
- JakeFolger, on 10/29/2009, -0/+9My Pop Warner coaches always told us to tackle with your shoulder and to wrap up the ball carrier. They could have used this as a great "What not to do" video.
- GoodKarma55, on 10/29/2009, -1/+10"BOOM! He's on his back"
/Madden '93 for Sega Genesis - esteskid, on 10/29/2009, -1/+9Yeah and we should also probably start making cars out of Styrofoam, you know - to encourage people to drive slower...
These 5 star crash test ratings are just encouraging dangerous driving. - madpie, on 10/29/2009, -0/+8Interesting that this clip should come up on digg just as the New York Times has been running the series of articles on dementia in NFL players. This ***** is not good for you. Much better to play Counterstrike.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/24/sports/football/ ... - shoyurx, on 10/29/2009, -0/+7Water sucks, gatorade's better...
- ngaaih, on 10/29/2009, -0/+7ya, navidb...where the hell are you from? Canada???
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyjm3A0N_VE&fea ... - jakobrowning, on 10/29/2009, -3/+10Yeah! The coach should've teleported in between these kids before they accidentally smashed helmets. Come on it's 8 seconds long, how are you gonna judge the coaches abilities in that short time?
- immatellyouwhat, on 10/29/2009, -0/+7It's still in play!!!
- justinzagar, on 10/29/2009, -2/+8That gave me a headache.
- immatellyouwhat, on 10/29/2009, -0/+6I'm gonna take out my Coach's challenge, let's see what the ref says...
- murph8807, on 10/29/2009, -1/+7er
- monodelasno, on 10/29/2009, -1/+7What the ***** are you talking about? Pop Warner football has been around for decades, the kids have always been wearing helmets and pads.
Maybe your thinking of the flag football league. - pcpimpster, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5It doesn't sound like they told you to use the top of your head as a battering ram. That will get you Christopher Reeved for sure.
Its easy to do when your that young. The big helmet makes a lot of these kids top heavy but using your shoulders and arms would make your head stay up which is not what these kids did here. - thrashermx, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5The helmet is not a weapon, it's a protection.
- clippclop, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5After review, The ruling on the field that the ball was still in play stands.
- clippclop, on 10/29/2009, -1/+6monk:
You do realize that you still feel the hit through the helmet right? When i am on my motor-cycle driving 100 in my full leathers and helmet does that make it safe for me to all of a sudden jump off because i have padding and a helmet?
I know your only experience with helmets is through video games, but come on, get some common sense here. - evildemonic, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5You're sensitive. You got picked on when you were a kid, didn't you?
- immatellyouwhat, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5Yeah I don't know about you gvoakes, but my nerves are pretty fast to respond to getting knocked the fuggout like that...
- TheManimal2, on 10/29/2009, -1/+6Yeah back in the old days the coach would have kicked you in the head till you got back up.
- jsffive, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5... and once you teach it, it NEVER happens again.
- ngaaih, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5I had a kid do that on my team when I was that age...our coach yelled at the whole team afterwards, telling us that you should always put your face mask in their numbers. if we put our heads down to tackle, we wouldn't play because it wasn't worth a spinal injury.
- getjustin, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4I coached a season of grade 4 and 5 football in Texas a few years back. I never played football, but I did play two years of collegiate rugby. We had the best tackling in the league for one simple reason: my players learned how to tackle like a rugger. They were looking up, aiming for the legs, and making clean form tackles. The helmet is about the most dangerous thing on the field. It weighs about as much as a kid's melon so movement is amplified, and they think they're invincible.
As a coach, that clip scared the ***** out of me. - JCEEZ, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4take a midol and stfu
