You mean "nothing"? - martyf, on 01/30/2008, -0/+11I worked at Broadcast Arts, at 632 Broadway, in Manhattan, where we built and animated the kazillion little beer cans for the first two Bud Bowls. It was a process requiring incredibly long hours, with some of the most fun people I ever worked with. The technology was wild - we'd use these ancient Mitchell pin-registered cameras - we're talking about WWII era technology - and these would be attached to a sort of robotic camera rig called an "IMC" (Interactive Motion Control) that would allow us to make these sweeping camera moves on the animation. The IMC was controlled by a computer that had an interface that made hacking the linux kernel seem as easy as operating an elevator. To preview the animations (we shot on film, so you didn't get to see what you shot right away) we'd use a B&W security camera camera attached to the eyepiece of the film cameras. This in turn was hooked to these crappy animation controllers called "Lyon lamb" machines hooked to 3/4" U-Matic Sony machines, Now I have to dig in the attic for pictures of me on the set. I know I still have them.

I suggest you go out and find some of your local craft brew and give it a taste. North America produces some damn fine craft brew beer that will go toe to toe (in their respective styles of course) with the best Belgians and German beer on the market.

Also, I was a Bills fan and at least I sometimes cheered for the winning team in the Bud Bowl if never in the big game. Go Bud! Kick Bud Light's Ass! awesome. Though it was just a crappy marketing campaign, it was seems so surreal now, it was kinda worth it.

It was different and new... it was also feature length.. with about 6, one minute ads with highlights from the game... There was actually suspense and drama with the game... "and the cans are going crazy!!!" was the best line...
