- Peko, on 08/26/2008, -0/+12something something something.... Michael Vick.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+11That kind of race would really only make sense if you set a dog on them
- inactive, on 12/07/2008, -0/+7Byron Leftwich is slower than Manning. And what about Yao Ming?
- ianferrell, on 08/27/2008, -0/+7I vote John Madden.
- walshgopher, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5 I read a childrens' story once about a king who had twin sons. Both sons were of equal strength and wisdom and the king couldn't decide who would be best to lead his kingdom. His choice ended up being quite arbitrary. He told the sons who's ever horse was slowest would become king. Of course you can't race to be last because everyone would just stand at the starting line, so the sons rode each others horses and the winning son rode the loosing horse.
- wizbor, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Thats not a diet coke in Daly's hand.
- Waxx, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Really, Sports Illustrated? You allow this quality of article on your website? Really?
- orangekid13, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3*head explodes*
- HumanRecalled, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3wrestling is a sport ? Really when ?
Professional Wrestling is not registered as a sport ! and take alot of drive and hard effort but it is not a sport ! i don't care how much PR Money WWF/E sinks into !
i have followed and watched it for 25 yrs and trust me it's not a sport ! - Xizor227, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2Peyton Manning has like, 10 times the rushing yards Dan Marino ever had
- ArtieMilano, on 08/27/2008, -1/+3Was I the only one who thought Special Olympics?
- h0er, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2It's fun to watch The Great Khali in WWE fights.
- drumrave, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2My vote goes to Tommy Maddox and Drew Bledsoe. I am a Jags fan and it was painful to watch byron. He was ***** slow
- Waxx, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2I am not sure we have the right to question the mental quickness of an NFL quarterback with a resume such as his.
- shauncorleone, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty sure Byron Leftwich could beat an active Dan Marino even if he was running on his hands.
However, Bledsoe vs. Marino would be a race for the ages, as that is how long it would take to complete. - crossmr, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2I vote me, you fire the starting pistol and I'll need to sit down for a break..
no body can't just lay there and do nothing as long as me, eventually the other participants would get bored and leave the track and be disqualified.. - HookmasterCH47, on 08/26/2008, -0/+1#6 Mark Mangino. Technically... not an athlete, but he is in sports.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+1My vote would be for John Daly because he would get tired even if he could use the golf cart. Since Tiger has come along and dominated the tour most golfers have tried to get into better shape to help their games as well. Daly has seen if getting fatter could help his enormous swing. BTW Daly has been and is still one of my favorite golfers despite all his setbacks.
- Farmer77, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Bengie Molina...he is well known for his slow speed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-by7vM-mIU - ouzome, on 08/27/2008, -1/+2Why is Manning even on this list - because he's a great quarterback from a little state that the coasts don't care about? Who cares if he doesn't rush everytime, he frickin won a Super Bowl!
- crazycarlmar, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1This list is retarded. There are a lot of professional athletes slower than those guys, especially Peyton Manning.
- shauncorleone, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Burrell's slow, but not top five slow. He does have 5 career stolen bases. Piazza, Frank Thomas, Cecil/Prince Fielder are all current/past baseball players that even Burrell would blow out of the water.
- shauncorleone, on 08/27/2008, -1/+2I'm voting Michael Vick. Maybe he's not slow in the classic sense, but he just doesn't have that breakout ability he once did.
- bocce, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1They made fun of this guy, but then he was only one of the group to still be in the group:
http://digg.com/other_sports/LOL_World_s_Worst_Oly ... - Strongo, on 08/27/2008, -1/+2Pat Burrell....I love the guy, but he's slow
- gumhucker, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1really not much effort put into this. Frank Thomas and not Benji Molina? Benji getting a double is like Fred Lewis getting an inside the park home run. Sorry, just wanted to bitch about bay area sports some more
- TheSwashbuckler, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1You want slow?
Try former NBAer Billy Paultz. As the saying went "there's slow, slower, and then there's Billy Paultz." - wardsac, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Bernie Kosar. The former browns QB was famous for making a 3 yard run look like he had exerted every ounce of his physical ability. He was ROUTINELY outrun by the offensive linemen in pre-season sprints. Was a pretty good QB, but couldn't outrun a steamroller.
- kenyadoit, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1How did Phillip Rivers not make this list?
- johnnyblazepw, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1lol Marino had 87 yard career rushing on 301 career attemtpts
- stephaniegrace, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1It's tough to run fast when you have a giant wang. They don't call him "Pat the Bat" for nothing.
- OneLess, on 08/28/2008, -0/+1Drew Bledsoe would easily beat out Peyton if he hadn't retired.
- Pufflosz, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Prince Fielder already has 2 inside the park homeruns.
- Violetta12, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1hehe, they are really slow. try this to get free money http://www.poker-bankroll.de
- prosnow, on 08/27/2008, -0/+0Sean Casey of the Boston Red Sox his 5 year old kid can run faster than him
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -0/+0tyson gay and dix
- krusader3z, on 08/27/2008, -2/+2Finishing last in an athletic event/race should be all too familiar to the average digg user
- Metadrew, on 08/27/2008, -0/+0Yeah, I was thinking Yadier, but remembered he isn't as slow as his brothers.

http://www.dirics.org/ - bocce, on 08/27/2008, -1/+1If you don't consider wrestling a sport, why have you watched it for 25 years?
Anyways, check out the first 16 seconds of this:
http://digg.com/extreme_sports/T_V_Reporters_Have_ ...
I haven't watched wrestling much since the Rock left and then gave it all up 'bout 05-07, or so, because it just got too repetitive. Though I did like the last match between Edge and Eddie G--it was awesome!
Anyway, there are a lot of sports today that weren't considered sport before, like Texas Hold'Em, I believe it was. - y2kery, on 08/27/2008, -3/+2Peyton Manning has rush for almost 700 yards and 16 TD's. There's a lot of QB's slower than he is.
- theotheragentm, on 08/27/2008, -8/+2I thought Manning was on the list due to his mental slowness. Is it just me or does anyone else get that impression when they watch him during interviews or even just gazing off while on the sidelines?
