- nickels, on 12/30/2008, -4/+41Before anyone says T.O. got my Eagles to the Super Bowl, I'll remind you of the facts. T.O. was injured prior to the Eagles getting into the playoffs, and he missed the first two games which the Eagles won WITHOUT HIM to get into the Super Bowl. Yes he did play a heck of a game that day, and he also had a great year with my team, but he wasn't a factor in the Eagles getting to the Super Bowl.
T.O. is a cancer, and nothing was sweeter then watching my Eagles get into the playoffs while manhandling the Cowboys. What a Sunday. F.U.T.O! - vanguardanon, on 12/31/2008, -0/+20He's 35 years old and his stats are dropping. We won't be hearing about TO for much longer.
- gkruth, on 12/31/2008, -1/+21He's the Kanye West of Football. Meh.
- krahzee, on 12/31/2008, -0/+18Look at the history.
49ers: He caused a ***** storm in San Fran, litterally accusing Garcia of being gay.
Eagles: He attempted to redo his deal with Philly the year after he got there, and took shots at one of the guys who lobbied hardest for him to get there (Mc Nabb) while he was holding out. All of this after he missed part of the season and the playoffs with an injury. Eventually they got so sick of his ***** they suspended him for the rest of the year. Remember the situps in his driveway?
Cowboys: He had a shaky relationship with Parcells for one year, only to talk ***** after the guy left. He OD'd on pain pills. Embraced Romo to the point of crying when the guy was criticized by the press ( go to youtube and look for it, it's ***** hillarious), only to accuse Romo and Tight end Jason Witten of having private meeting to come up with plays designed to shift the offence away from him and more to the tight end, despite the fact that he is still the most thrown to Cowboy this year. - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -1/+15During his to short career, Terrell Davis was nothing but class and not one to bad mouth someone else. If he is saying it about TO, he must feel very strongly about it.
- Markb3489, on 12/31/2008, -4/+13In my opinion Tony Romo is as big a problem as anyone on that team
- mattluiz, on 08/28/2009, -2/+10What a mess of a franchise.
- LightPhoenix, on 12/31/2008, -2/+10If he had actually said ***** three times on the air that would have been great.
- pmwunder, on 12/30/2008, -1/+9Why is it that everytime a picture of TO is shown by Fox or NBC while he is on the sideline, he is always running his mouth, and complaining because of something. Now, TO is a great athlete, no doubt about it, but I feel that he is as selfish a player in the NFL than I have ever seen one. He needs to just shut his mouth and just play. Besides, he is not the only ego in Dallas, and when you throw his in the mix, it's like a nuclear bomb ready to explode in the Cowboy locker room.
- doublefelix, on 12/31/2008, -1/+8I think he is more of a syphilis.
- LucasKane, on 12/31/2008, -0/+7as much as I hate to admit it, he's still a scary WR at his age
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+6The media is obsessed with this guy.
- blinker265, on 12/31/2008, -0/+6T.O. has problems- he is a mental mess. one minute he is saying he is god's gift to football, the next he is crying his eyes out about losing a game. im happy the eagles got rid of him!
- krahzee, on 12/31/2008, -1/+7Romo may not be the QB they thougt he would be, but he doesn't cause any problems in the lockeroom the way TO does. If the owner wasn't Jerry Jones, he'd have been gone already, talent or no talent.
- slvrbullet87, on 12/31/2008, -0/+5I loved the Witten part... You throw the ball to the best tight end in football way too much
- Kannebas, on 12/31/2008, -0/+5Bottom line: Winning is the only thing that matters. Fans didn't care about Scottie Pippen's selfishness, Dennis Rodman's insanity, or Michael Jordan's gambling addiction since the Bulls kicked everyone's ass. The '77 Yankees looked like they were standing on the verge of self destruction, but none of it mattered because they won and the Yankees of the late 90s? All you have to say is "25 Players... 25 Cabs" and the Lakers winning three consecutive titles despite Kobe and Shaq wanting to strangle each other.
T.O. isn't the problem with Dallas. He's not like Stephon Marbury where the team improves dramitcally when he's shipped out of there. There's no accountability and no leadership. Whenever something goes wrong, EVERYONE on that team points fingers at anyone but themselves.
And to all the disgruntled Eagles' fans: T.O. plays hard every down, unlike another high profile player you experimented with a decade ago. All you got to say is, "For what? For who?", savvy? - mrtdot, on 12/31/2008, -1/+6***** T.O.!
- sanctify99, on 12/31/2008, -4/+8*cough* told you so
-loving Philly resident - Dimyeyes, on 12/31/2008, -0/+4NO, the media is. Here In fort worth/Dallas, we don't EVER here anyone talk about ***** drama the media plays out, y'all are the suckers for buying into it. I cant stand how the camera pans over to T.O every time the cowboys had a bad play. It's like they are waiting for him to screw up or make a facial expression so it can sell. LAME
- gadlaw, on 12/31/2008, -0/+4Terrell Davis is just telling it like it is. T.O. is a cancer on every team he's been on, that's just a fact. And besides, Terrell Davis is mighty P.O.ed that his own Coach Shanahan has been fired by that pimp of a owner Bowlen over in Denver So Terrell is just not feeling all PC today.
- forestballa, on 12/31/2008, -0/+4What is with Dallas sport teams and the cancer as of late. FIrst Sean Avery, now Terell Owens.
- sockpuppets, on 12/31/2008, -2/+6I'm burying you because you told me not to bury you.
- LucasKane, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3Are you nuts? Giants fans should never want T.O after 2002 playoffs, the guy hates the Giants anyway
- fakeguy, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3*cough* told YOU so.
-loving 49er fan. - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3The Cowboys will never win a Super Bowl with T.O. Therefore they must get rid of him.
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -2/+5Romo is still early in his career, he needs to work on some things (namely turnovers), but hes not causing the breakdown in the lockerroom that TO is.
- adam2112, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3He'd be scarier if he could actually catch a football. I caught a higher percentage when I was playing pop warner.
- almondfilter3, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4You can't blame their ***** season on just T.O., no matter how much you hate the guy. Bigger issues.
- t3hbagel, on 12/31/2008, -2/+5I'm burying you for your pathetic attempt at humor, not because your obvious attempt at a joke doesn't make sense to me.
- mg128, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3oh so T.D. is P.O.ed at T.O. and used the C word
- OutlawSundown, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3 Considering he drops the ball half the time it seems to me they throw to him way to often.
Honestly though I think the coaching seriously needs to take a chunk of the blame for the way the Cowboys ended up this season. They never used the offense right when they were healthy and in those games where Romo was out they threw the ball way to often. They should have spent those games just doing a basic running offense and buying time for the defense to rest. Not to mention there evidently wasn't enough discipline. - wh3873, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2The problem with TO is that he thinks Dallas is on his team. If they won every game 50 to nothing but he only got 3 passes a game he'd be bitching.
Dallas is getting what they deserve with him, Pacman and Williams (just to name a few). It's a no class organization with no class players. Football is the ultimate in team sports, insomuch as one superstar can't make your team. However one asshat can mess it up pretty bad. - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Couldnt have gone to a better team if you ask me.
- Shakermaker, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2TO is the most overrated player in the NFL. He's got talent, but not NEARLY as much as he (or Terrell fans) think he does.
- draftingtableX, on 01/01/2009, -0/+2oh *****. lol.
- jofo1185, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2I completely agree, many factors went into the downfall of the season. But if anyone was to be blamed above anyone else, it would have to be Jerry Jones. Because of his constant need to be in control of everything on that team, he has a terrible coach that cannot make the players into a team.
- GeeksSpeakFont, on 12/30/2008, -2/+4oh snap! T.O. really is ridiculous. There have been so many great T.O. moments from his eagles diatribes to the sharpie incident...
- Vulphaestion, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2I think Bowlen made the right call, IMO.
- kolop1, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2They all hate TO but throw to him in the clutch and I'm an Eagles fan saying this. Romo is the problem/ Hs sucks in December and he sucks in the playoffs. Dallas overpaid for an under average quarterback. He can't even handel pressure. He passed out in the shower after the last game.
- djtomorama, on 12/31/2008, -2/+4TD = badass
on that note, Denver made a horrible decision today - jbeardsl, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2 TO = Team of One
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1ive been a cowboys fan for years, when they said they were getting TO i knew right away it was going to cause problems. all the time he has been here everytime he made a play and one of my buds said he was doing good for the team i told them to just wait. now his antics have once again ***** a team hes playing on. i do blame him for the problems the boys are having. hes a douche, i knew that the second i saw him disrespect the star (than pay for it, thanks george teague). ***** TO
- jimw428, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1IMO, the Cowboy's problem is not just T.O., he is simply a manifestation of an ownership that believes he can manage any talented misfit castoff. The Cowboys need to hire a strong G.M. with the power to run all football operations, including personnel. To cite an example of the point, take a look at what Parcells did in Miami after he got away from Jerry Jones.
Do I think this will happen? Not a chance in hell!
- J16T3CH, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1I was very dissappinted that you only defeated them by 38. I expected so much more.
Go Seahawks, can't wait for the draft!
<- Wants Crabtree - forestballa, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1Its one thing to be a douche and have the other team hate Avery, but when his own teammates are glad that be suspended it becomes clear that he is a "cancer."
- Heywoodj, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1You never know. I thought the Boys would never touch him after spinning the ball on the star.
When they did get him I thought it was all a set up to have him crucified at half time.
They should have done it that way. - HotSaucePanCake, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1At least he doesn't pretend to be some thug gangster and go to clubs with guns and get in trouble with the law. He is a very passionate outspoken player. One that is still capable of drawing the double coverage. He makes everyone on the field better just by intimidating them.
How many players can you say that about?
-End of discussion- - JeddHampton, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1T.O. didn't play too hard in the last game. He ran backwards and out of bounds almost every time he caught the ball. The one catch would have given him a first down, but he took a step in the wrong direction and then stepped out. He argued with the ref, but the ref made the right call.
I think Romo sending the punt team off the field started a rapid decline in the teams discipline. I think he made the right call, but handled it the wrong way. He took what little authority Phillips had, and discarded it.
The way I see it, T.O. can shoot his mouth off all he wants. The problem is him complaining that other people are touching the ball. He treats every game like it is the "T.O. Show". I really don't think he understands what he does to an opposing team's defense. He could play the game and never touch the ball, but still be the reason they won the game. Drawing double coverage is a huge advantage, but he doesn't seem to care about it. - superterrorizer, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2Agreed. He's just not reliable off the field. And when you piss your team off, no one wants to play.
