-Phillip Franklin, White Star Line Vice-President - neoform, on 01/28/2009, -0/+31I really doubt I'd be safer surrounded by a bunch of drunk football fans than at home in my basement with all the doors locked as I cradle my shotgun.
- rdhogan7713, on 01/27/2009, -0/+25It's safe for everyone except Kurt Warner and Ben Roethlisberger.
- ziptnf, on 01/28/2009, -0/+21Unless you're in the Cadillac Tank with President Obama.
- DirtyVicar, on 01/28/2009, -0/+14One of the most PROTECTED locations in the country, not the safest. I think Mr. Ahlerich forgot the dictionary definition of "target".
- mountainman150, on 01/28/2009, -0/+11It's all relative. I bet it is the most targeted place in the nation too.
- WayneCA, on 01/28/2009, -0/+10Exactly. My house feels pretty safe because it's a low value target.
- kronzdigg, on 01/28/2009, -0/+9Now they are asking for it!
- nesagwa, on 01/28/2009, -0/+6Not a lot of people know that the canons of the Buccaneers Pirate ship are fully functional anti-aircraft guns.
- inactive, on 01/28/2009, -0/+5Uhhh cite?
- techsquirrel, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4someone hasn't watched Johnny English -- "you are now entering the most secure location in the whole of England..." BOOOMMMMMM
- lepetitmousse, on 01/28/2009, -1/+5didnt some guy show up last year with a bunch of guns ready to shoot people but he decided not to after he got in?
greeaaat security. - nitrojunky24, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4 the boat sinking is one hell of an inconvenience .......
- inactive, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4Of course they are going to say that!!! I mean imagine if they said:
"Well we are doing everything we can to prevent a terrorist attack, no one knows that the easiest way to get inside the stadium is through SERVICE ENTRANCE D which is being guarded by 14-year old honorary policeman Dougie" - lepetitmousse, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4i guess i slightly "misremembered." The guy got within site of the stadium and changed his mind. So my little comment is totally stupid.
article here:
http://news.theage.com.au/world/gunman-planned-to- ... - mediablitz, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4Safest place in the country.
My OS is also unhackable. - had3l, on 01/28/2009, -0/+4So that's where they hid Robert Gates during the inauguration ceremony...
- FreddieD, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3The area around the stadium is considered a no-fly zone during the event. Im quite sure the air around the area is monitored and any aircraft that doesn't follow the proper flight plan will be "politely" asked to change course.
- BlatheringIdiot, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3BLAM !
- cuervoman914, on 01/28/2009, -1/+4HAHAHA DISREGARD THAT, I SUCK *****
- Katana314, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3I'm still not going there in a zombie outbreak.
Actually, both zombies and terrorist attacks should result in the same mantra; stay away from large groups of people. - asherchang, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3Who the ***** cares? They only made a big deal about it last year because "We must stop the terrorists from attacking the superbowl" seems a much more concrete and vivid goal than "We must continue to gather intelligence about terrorist activity and stop what we can".
I really wish the folks responsible for our security would stop getting so caught up in little movie plot scenarios and actually holistically pursue the threats that come at us from all sides... Our food and water supply is actually very vulnerable to attack, and its a miracle that no one has threatened it yet. I need to hear how they're gonna protect our food and water supply from the terrorists. Really. - blaxicopurress, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3nothing gets through the d-line of the pittsburgh steelers!!
- AndySavage, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3*Special Officer

Jack Ryan - alamedaman, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2that was only the retarded movie version that was sanitized to be politically correct.
- nphase, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2mushroom clouds notwithstanding, of course.
- nesagwa, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2For the tailgaters maybe.
- CaptHuggyFace, on 01/28/2009, -1/+3Jack Ryan wouldn't have written that note since the bomb was actually inside a box inside a fake ABC news van. But I guess we can't expect anyone to read the actual books on which movies are based, can we? Oh, and Ben Affleck was a terrible Jack Ryan.
- buddyw, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2someone hasn't seen 28 days later.
- XxpokemasterxX, on 01/28/2009, -1/+3I didn't see anything in the article about anti-air.
- rmodnar, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2This is probably part of the "classified" nature of the security.
- CDoug03, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2I stopped reading Jack Ryan novels after the Cardinal of the Kremlin.
- daivos, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2That's only because the Eagles and Raiders can't get there.
- androothebear, on 01/29/2009, -0/+2FTA: "Specially trained police officers scan the crowd looking for people who exhibit odd behavior."
Aka anyone who appears to be middle eastern, right? - Barackalypse, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2Big targets like that are never safe, its too tempting a target.
- rheaume, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2***** I knew them head movies were real
That part made my eyes rain - blaxicopurress, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2im sure jack bauer did, he is prob hiding inside it right now
- hugehead83, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2I worked security at the Superdome in New Orleans a few years back while in college. The temp. workers working along side me weren't exactly Rhodes Scholars. No one cared about security & most just talked about how they were going to spend their entire paycheck from this at the casino or on some bigger wheels for their car. "I have an XXL 'security' shirt and a metal detector wand, therefore I have more authority than the 80,000 people trying to get in." I was glad I wasn't in there.
- WaCkYmAk, on 01/28/2009, -0/+1Dunno about that. I'm sure there are some parents' basements out there that are pretty safe...
- foxtails, on 01/28/2009, -0/+1Did these people not watch The Sum of All Fears? ;)
- thelastfreemen, on 01/28/2009, -0/+1It's things like this that emphasizes "safety" that make us think we have reason to be in danger in the first place.
- tj111, on 01/29/2009, -0/+1I believe this is the best, and only, Superbowl defense.
- coreydoucorey, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1Good. I bet this article was here about a year ago. http://manxl.org
- ZxieuS, on 01/28/2009, -1/+2Safer than the White House "Washroom" (Crapper)?
- J0hnnyBlaze, on 01/28/2009, -1/+2maybe he didnt see Sum of All Fears.
- thabboytype, on 01/28/2009, -1/+1true that
- havok92, on 01/28/2009, -2/+1Safe until terrorist hijack a plane and well you know the rest..
- ddanks08, on 01/28/2009, -5/+2"There is no danger that Titanic will sink. The boat is unsinkable and nothing but inconvenience will be suffered by the passengers."
