- tommymcgimsey, on 10/20/2009, -0/+26That ***** pidgeon...
- StubbyClapp, on 10/20/2009, -1/+195 yards in the first half? Who cares?
Chris Webber laughs at that. - RealmDown, on 10/20/2009, -0/+16It's a dog eat dog league out there.
- EvilJelloMan, on 10/20/2009, -0/+14Amen. Andy has the worst ***** clock management I've ever seen.
He sucks ass at calling offensive plays too, and he certainly doesn't ever let Marty make any of those decisions. Putting the ball in westbrook's hands less than ten times? No wonder there's pressure on your quarterback every ***** play.
RUN THE ***** BALL, ANDY. - zsavior, on 10/20/2009, -6/+19Mcnabb should have left the eagles long ago I am sorry. As a giants fan being from new york I am supposed to take glee when ever philly does bad. BUt Mcnabb has taken crap for years, not having a very good team around him and having to put up with it. He should have left by now and gone somewhere better. I have no idea why he continues to stay.
- zuiquan, on 10/20/2009, -0/+13You can't fault McNabb totally. Andy Reid did go to the Mike Holmgren Clock Management School. So it's no surprise that he's just as bad as Mike is at running the clock properly.
- coltrane68, on 10/20/2009, -3/+13As an Eagles fan, I am used to this from #5. He has talent, but a terrible football IQ.
- bubbachuck, on 10/20/2009, -1/+10Chris Webber in the NCAA Final Four
- ryansmith18, on 10/20/2009, -1/+9Wtf. No, no that's not true at all. Sounds like you're the one with racist issues.
- CourageWulf, on 10/20/2009, -0/+8***** ass sports writer. Andy Reid was the one who called the timeout, McNabb just followed his lead.
- ryansmith18, on 10/20/2009, -1/+8Wrong. The Eagles are chasing one of only two wild card spots in their conference. At the end of the season when they are competing against 11 others for those two spots, they are gonna reflect on games like this where they should have won but botched it instead. This game could very well cost them a playoff spot.
- FlippityFlipz, on 10/20/2009, -0/+6It's not all McNabb forgetting fundamentals. Apparently the defense forgot how to tackle! Jeremiah Trotter looked like an old man out there.
- SlyT862, on 10/20/2009, -0/+6Haha, my favorite is that he runs playaction fakes at the end of the game after having run the ball only like 6 times.
- swicken, on 10/20/2009, -0/+5I agree he's dumb sometimes, but I place as much blame on the coach who used 2 timeouts on incomplete passes.
- MixMastaKooz, on 10/20/2009, -0/+5For those who don't know about the pigeon:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3bn_CH1ob8 - Projhex, on 10/20/2009, -1/+5Honestly forgetting you are out of time outs is something that everyone might do one time or another.
The truly terrible time out called at 2:02 in the 4th was the biggest error I thought, and it was called by the head coach. He essentially saved 2 seconds, when he could have called it after the 2 minute warning and saved up to 40? They never got the ball back, lost the game.
This from a niners fan. - whatthefu, on 10/20/2009, -0/+4Wait, what pigeon? I missed the game and I totally need to know about this pigeon.
- SlyT862, on 10/20/2009, -1/+5He makes MILLIONS of dollars to be an NFL Quarterback! Taking criticism, even unfair criticism, is in the job description. I payed money for my McNabb jersey, for single game tickets, I have a right to criticize him.
Nobody is saying he's a bad person... but he does dumb things on a football field.
Also, present it. - jknevitt, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3I always thought that Holmgren and Reid were twins, separated at birth. It sure explains why they both screw up in the same place.
- xxAMPLIFYxx, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3He has his bad moments, like basically all of the game vs. the Raiders. He's also gotten us places though. When he's good, he's great. I don't think you should just give up on a proven QB based on a bad performance every now and then for a guy who's only started 2 games.
- scecilio, on 10/21/2009, -0/+3ESPN's NFL Primetime Pigeon highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxWuSzwTE94
- methdwman3, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3Totally agree. Little known fact - there WAS more than one overtime in football up until the end of regulation of the Bengals/Eagles game. At that point, Rush Limbaugh (who as we know, is well loved in the NFL) called the league and asked them to change the rule so that McNabb would be made to look foolish. They also did one of those 'Men in Black' moves to convince all of us that the rule was in place all along. The lengths these rednecks will go to make a black QB look dumb are astounding.
- Chrysalii, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3are you kidding me.
the pigeon was the best player on the field. - alarchy, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3I love how they blame McNabb for the game. He forgot he didn't have any timeouts left in the first half, still another 30 minutes of game time to fix the error - but not if your team can't make a tackle to save their lives.
- iamtad, on 10/20/2009, -0/+22009 Vikes + Favre = superbowl
2010 Vikes + McNabb = superbowl
Brad Childress still loves the guy - OasisR123, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2"what've you done for me lately?"
.... how easy is to forget the NFC championships and super bowl - Chamrox, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2Oh reeheeeheeheeeellly?
- digitalArtform, on 10/20/2009, -2/+4wtf? I thought whenever somebody did something boneheaded we blamed it on public education? Isn't that what we agreed?
- methdwman3, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2@Realm - Good one!!
- FeloniusMonkey, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2The bad timeout call didn't make a lick of difference in that game.
Bottom line: You can't win without a competent offensive line and a confident quarterback (of which the Eagles had neither). - a2fan, on 10/20/2009, -5/+7It's all Rush Limbaugh's fault.
- xxAMPLIFYxx, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2The worst is that its obvious when they do run that they are doing it just to say they ran the ball a couple times. They pick the worst ***** times to run. 2nd and 10 after a failed pass attempt down in the 4th quarter? Yeah let's run it now. Never on 1st down early in the game though, who the ***** would do that?
- DaviDTC, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2xbox thinks it is ok to get mad and the $5 per hour worker and not the person who makes millions of dollars to be the best they can be at all times.
- Chrysalii, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2Syracuse University is a private school.
SU was McNabb's college (to save you the search and confusion if you didn't know) - lindenwold, on 10/20/2009, -1/+3facepalm
- RealmDown, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1He's a Tauren
- RealmDown, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1Walter, is that you ?
- alarchy, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1I humbly refer you to the post above yours methdwman3.
- EvilJelloMan, on 10/20/2009, -1/+2Yep - terrible coaching and never enough protection from the O-line because they hang onto guys like Shawn Andrews who have talent but are always out injured, letting some backup scrub play most of the games.
Give McNabb a coach who's not obsessed with gimmick trick plays and knows how to establish a running game to give the quarterback some protection, and he'd have some superbowl rings on his fingers. He's a phenomenal player surrounded by talented players and a coach who always manages to ***** up just enough to disappoint the fans. - FlippityFlipz, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1They did the same thing to Cutler. McNabb had some decent passes but his receivers dropped the ball several times that I can recall
- methdwman3, on 10/20/2009, -1/+2McNabb is getting a hefty amount of the blame because he was unable to complete 50% of his passes against THE RAIDERS.
- SteveMTyler, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1yeah, i'd like to see mcnabb go somewhere he gets appreciated. Let the eagle fans see how great their team is year in and year out without mcnabb getting them to the playoffs.
- theamnesiac, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1I bet if someone ***** up your order at McDonald's after sitting in the drive thru for fifteen minutes, you wouldn't shrug it off because the people who work there are 'fun loving'.
- ell0bo, on 10/20/2009, -1/+2the only thing that kept me off the roof that day was the Phillies game later that night.
- zuiquan, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1He's obviously some sort of masochist. Either that or he really likes cheesesteaks.
- gkiltz, on 10/21/2009, -0/+1Even famous people will occasionally have a brain fart!
Only proves he's human. - digitalArtform, on 10/20/2009, -1/+2wait. are you trying to tell me someone from a private school said something wrong? How is this possible?????
- bigkeithxx, on 10/21/2009, -0/+1Hall of Fame QB easy, with a athletic and intellectual prowess the most of his critics can not match. no QB in the league can have success with the O line that he had to work with but he still ended up for almost 300 yds or more.
- edgecrusher3582, on 10/20/2009, -3/+3they need to be starting Kolb. the man proved himself 2 games in a row throwing over 300 yards and getting offensive player of the week. It makes no sense why they continue to start McNabb.
