...seriously? for how long is that ***** gonna be there? - bloodhound01, on 06/08/2009, -4/+26Just retire already.
not to mention - 49 diggs front page. woot - dijkstra22, on 06/08/2009, -3/+15Go away please. You are going to be considered one of the great quarterbacks in history even if you did throw a lot of INTs. Go spend some time with your family, Brett, I'd kill to be able to retire successfully at your age and hang out with my wife and kids.
- wah0995, on 06/08/2009, -2/+8Yeah. Retire..good grief!
- arizonabay, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5WELL YOU SEE, RIGHT HERE THE SURGEON IS MAKING THE INCISION INTO BRETT'S SHOULDER AND HE DOES THAT BECAUSE IN ORDER TO FIX THE DAMAGED CARTILAGE HE NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO SEE IT AND THE ONLY WAY TO SEE IT IS BY CUTTING THROUGH THE SKIN AND EXPOSING THE JOINT. NOW HE'S USING THE SCALPEL TO DO THAT BECAUSE IT'S SHARP AND THAT WILL ALLOW HIM TO CUT THROUGH THE LAYER OF SKIN WITHOUT DAMAGING ANYTHING ELSE. YOU SEE, THE DOCTOR ONLY WANTS TO CUT THROUGH THE SKIN, HE DOESN'T WANT TO CUT THE LIGAMENTS AND THE TENDONS AND THE OTHER TISSUE UNDERNEATH
- inactive, on 06/08/2009, -3/+8Isn't this guy like... 90? Just retire already.
- vinceislegend, on 06/08/2009, -3/+8I'm burying this, because no one gives a ***** about Brett Favre anymore.
- inactive, on 06/08/2009, -1/+6Sigh, and here I was thinking that I'd finally get a summer free of the Brett Favre Brett Favre Brett Favre talk.
- vinceislegend, on 06/08/2009, -1/+5You removed your colon?
- 3tcp, on 06/08/2009, -2/+6Speaking as a packer fan, I wish Favre had listened to Tarkenton.
- deysman, on 06/08/2009, -1/+5If Farve comes back, expect his not-so-secret lover too immediately announce his unretirment.
- donjo, on 06/08/2009, -1/+5Great quarterbacks are guys who make great passes. Brett favre is a guy who makes great passes. Great passes make great football and great football is just great football.
/madden - ThraxyWaxy, on 06/08/2009, -1/+4When I was born, Favre was in the NFL, and I will be honest, I am not sufficiently matured to accept a Favre-less league.
- tehnico, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3Speaking as a Packer fan. I don't effin care. Come September I want to see every opposing QB crushed and ground into Torgos Executive powder. Especially QB's clad in purple.
THEY. ARE. THE. ENEMY. - Squirrel1337, on 06/08/2009, -2/+4Till theres another Digg Dialogg?
- PsychoBrat, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2For a second I was puzzled at the seemingly redundant label "sources" in the title. Then I remembered how most media outlets work these days.
- Iwantawii, on 06/08/2009, -1/+3^
So I was making out with this chick in my car. Things were getting pretty hot and she said to me "Kiss me where it smells." So I drove her to Wisconsin. - Iwantawii, on 06/08/2009, -2/+3He's about as good of a role model as anybody in the NFL, although while I'll agree that ESPN and the others have sensationalized this a bit, he's doing way more good than harm. Kind of like Oprah. (???)
And power to him for wanting to stick it to the Packers. I say Game On. One couldn't write a better intro for a season. Great rivalries means everybody wins. Plus, with a good quarterback, the Vikes actually have a shot at the Super Bowl.
/Minnesotan - Asten77, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1except that nobody does, except MN fans.
- protogenxl, on 06/08/2009, -1/+2I don't quite understand this. Someone put a copy of the surgery video into John Madden's telestrator.
- Misinformant, on 06/08/2009, -1/+2When's the surgery to repair his one-too-many-times-concussioned brain?
- asgardshill, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Once you go Vic, you never go bike. Or back.
- akamurph, on 06/08/2009, -1/+2I'm from MN. Have you seen T-Jack play QB? I give a *****!
- Salif, on 06/08/2009, -3/+4and a sport to retire....
- TheInformer, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1You won't see a comment that disparages someone on the left on the front page like that, guaranteed.
- samard2002, on 06/08/2009, -3/+4That's quite a coincidence because I just had my I-give-a-***** organ removed.
- diggduggjoe, on 06/08/2009, -1/+2The Bears are Green Bay's greatest rival. Period. I hope Favre can be successful, whatever he does. The Packers screwed him over for years refusing to get the free agents that could help him. He had to carry too many teams, the Jets included.
The Vikings look balanced enough, so he may not need to throw too much. Give the man a real running game and he will be fine. He did okay with the Jets up to the injury and the offensive line failing to provide a running game. Even at 40, Favre will be formidable as long as he is healthy and seated on a well balanced team. - dirtymerkin, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Purple.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
- Dmilla16, on 06/08/2009, -2/+2good for him. If he can play let him. Everyone knows they wanna see a Farve Vikings Packers game.
- DOPPELGANGING, on 06/08/2009, -1/+1Madden Curse strikes again?
- seattlescott0, on 06/10/2009, -0/+0Favre Sandwhich.

Favre
Ground - rdldr1, on 06/08/2009, -2/+2Why is Greg Olsen of the Bears in the preview image?
Oh yeah, Butt Favor wins the drama queen award for the 6th year straight. - guitarmaster, on 06/08/2009, -4/+4I was born and raised in Minnesota and I have been a lifelong Vikings fan...
Please go away Farve! - toddc612, on 06/08/2009, -1/+1I can hear it now..
"Favre hands off to Adrian Peterson.. Peterson is going, going.. TOUCHDOWN!!!"
OR
"Favre steps back, throws long to Percy Harvin.. TOUCHDOWN!!"
Take your pick. - Dezurtdog, on 06/08/2009, -0/+0LMAO...if it was 1992.
- Asten77, on 06/08/2009, -1/+1I can hear something else now...
"Favre lofts one up, and ANOTHER interception. This record's going to stand for decades, folks." - descrysis, on 06/08/2009, -2/+2Don't Give a ***** bout Favre anymore. Especially last month when I swear I heard 3 times a day about "BRAVE-Vikes!?" I personally don't care if you wanna play more, but if you do just choose it and be decisive. News whore.
- Neilstro, on 06/09/2009, -0/+0So tired of hearing this every offseason...Favre is gonna ruin his legacy if he doesn't just retire soon.
- asgardshill, on 06/08/2009, -3/+2Five words:
Free Vicodin at training camp. - Okinsley, on 06/08/2009, -3/+2hes so old...
retire you old fart! - inactive, on 06/08/2009, -3/+2You are right, sucks you're getting dugg down though.
Favre could have stayed with the NY Jets one more year, helped tutor Mark Sanchez and had a chance to contend for at least a playoff spot considering the Jets' impressive offseason highlighted by the installation of Rex Ryan as head coach.
Instead he retired, asked for his unconditional release from the Jets (Jets maintained his rights after his retirement) and is now trying to get himself in shape to play for the Vikings. Apologists will say he's just playing because he loves football, but he could have continued showing his love of the game in NY.
Nothing is official yet, but Minnesota has been the only team that has been linked to these latest Favre developments and lo and behold, they just happen to be Green Bay's biggest rival. - JacksonYaya, on 06/08/2009, -2/+0Oprah? OOOPRAH???? That smacking sound you're hearing is Charles Woodson and a bunch of other cornerbacks licking their chops. Better get back to dinner, your lutefisk is getting damp.
/Wisconsinite. Say 'sconnie and pay the consequences. Stick to proud, time tested pejoratives like cheesehead. While were on the subject, nobody here calls the Brewers the Brew Crew, and nobody calls the Bucks a basketball team. - jfield1, on 06/08/2009, -9/+7Burried for Favre.
- markf3388, on 06/08/2009, -3/+0Hes coming back...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - Hpot17, on 06/08/2009, -8/+4I hope he gets a couple more years of playing time in the NFL. One or two more years and that Interception record will stand for OVER 9000 years!
- JayG25, on 06/08/2009, -13/+6He isnt the "Good Ol' Country Boy" as the ads and ESPN would leave you to believe. He is just your run of the mill alcoholic prima donna who doesn't care about anyone but himself and is just doing that to get back at the packers.
- Tayloristehsux, on 06/08/2009, -11/+4As a Minnesota native, I cannot wait to laugh at Packers fans all year. It won't even matter if we lose to Green Bay, it will be enough just to say Favre hates the Packers.
