- p2btech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3My guess is Ohio State WILL NOT get to the championship game, when you lose 9 defensive starters you have a bad defensive, it's unfortunate that people seem to overlook that little detail.
- gaiserrc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just glad to see my alma mater Auburn mentioned. Hope we don't get alot of press if we keep winning cause it always seems to go to the teams heads or Tuberville's ear lobs.
- Xenif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm a OSU fan till death, so I'm biased. I am kind of disappointed in this article on the whole. A lot of it is right on the money but like said above it is all opinion based, so let me give you mine. I want OSU to go all the way, and I'm not sure about winning the championship, as I want them to and I personally feel they will, but it all depends on who they are matched up with. Quinn is a powerful force, but I think Notre Dame doesn't have the muster behind such a good specimen of quarterback to get the job done, if Notre Dame goes anywhere, I feel Quinn will be pulling the load, as he is one great quarterback, but I don't feel he has much on the team to compliment him. I also think, even though he is good, that his team might hinder him from actually winning the Heisman, because to win you gotta make it happen, and it's a lot easier to do when you got a great team, but that's just me.
Ted Ginn, Jr. is good, but he is a little over hyped, one of the fastest guys in College Ball, but he reminds me of my high school running back, fast as hell, and can do anything he wants, but doesn't seem to want to. Ted Ginn, will have a good showing but won't go for the Heisman not even close.
All of you Troy Young haters out there, you need to watch a few of last year's games. He is a mini-Micheal Vick, not as good, mind you, but he can run well, and I at one time thought he couldn't throw as well as Zwick, but he has improved and can throw better then Zwick, so he is the ultimate force. He's got a great line to give him plenty of time to throw that pass.
Our defense is young, but mind you, they are some of the best recruits in the nation. These boys aren't new to football, they played high school ball, and they have proved themselves in pre-season including the pre-season spring skirmishes. If they are playing for one of the greatest College Football schools (honestly OSU doesn't seem to have other sports that do as well, just face it) and not only that but starting for them, don't you think they most likely fit the bill.
The games I look forward this year are the first game (of course), mostly because Northern Illinois actually has some talent, and they are slightly overrated but have nothing to lose, and that is dangerous. Texas game, I could care less about, Texas lost their power players, I don't seem to think it will be close (sorry). The most important game and decider on who goes where and how we do is the Michigan game. OSU and Michigan seem to be the only 2 colleges, where we can lose 0 games, but if we beat each other, and specifically if we ruin each others streaks, that is a successful season.
Dig me up, Dig me down, I could care less. This is going to be a very exciting year, and even though there are superstars, or wanna be superstars, I see this year being one of the best years for 'anyone has a chance' speech. - isthisnametaken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1too bad the vols creamed Cal!! HA!! go vols!
- leethemanpowell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1look for Ohio State To Win It. The article seems likely. Then again it is just another person giving their opinion, just like you and me, so your guess is as good as mine. Remember, this is college football and ANYTHING can happen. (including the band coming onto the field!)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Questions like, why do we watch drunken fratboys play a game?
