- NJJ56, on 01/20/2009, -1/+7Dear God,
Thank you for putting someone to the 2nd highest thrown, besides yours, who realized that defence wins championships and that Farve's interceptions on the west coast didn't make us lose all 4 of those games which really kept us out of the playoffs, the D did.
Love,

I miss the Winnipeg Jets. - krahzee, on 01/20/2009, -0/+5I agree. When you give up 22.3ppg and worse yet, 234.5 passing yards per game it is not all the fault of the offense.
Farve was clearly hurting at the end of the year, why they didn't adjust the play calling for him based on this is anyone's guess. Especially when they had the leading rusher in the AFC on the team. That was a coaching *****.
Look, if Farve is back or not, having a more effective defense, especially against the pass, can help carry a team on days the offense doesn't click.
For what it is worth, do not be shocked to see them go after McNabb if Farve decides to pack it in and Donovan is really as unhappy as the rumors say he is in Philly. His 13mil off the cap leaves more than enough space to trade for McNabb if he really wants out, and give him an extension. - smacksaw, on 01/20/2009, -0/+5Did you see Santonio Holmes catch that airball from Ben Roethlisberger yesterday?
That is the worst, most un-clutch pass EVER. And the reason it was caught is because of the WR.
You can't be clutch if your WRs are clueless. I'm sorry, but Brett has a nearly two decade track record of being clutch and improvising. If it doesn't happen with the Jets, you ought to be looking at his partner in the play.
It takes two to tango. Brett made his mistakes, but I'm getting sick of all of the Jets fans saying Brett wasn't clutch, as if his WRs were EVER clutch. Why was Chad better in Miami? Because his WRs sacked up and made it happen in Miami. He had the same WRs Brett did and they didn't do ***** for any of their QBs.
I'll fault Brett for having a private office and not spending more time with his WRs, but seeing how they let Chad down I have to wonder if it would have mattered. - syda, on 01/20/2009, -0/+3Had me until Step 3
Forget Clemens. - syda, on 01/20/2009, -0/+3throne*
i had to read that three times before i figured out it wasn't a quarterback statement. - jba68, on 01/20/2009, -0/+3Bwahahahaha
- inactive, on 01/20/2009, -1/+3Q.B. controversy? Jets fans will welcome a new quarterback over Favre.
- Chirp08, on 01/20/2009, -0/+2Eagles proved it's all about the defense this season. The defense didn't show up against the cardinals and now we are sitting at home, but we wouldn't have even been in contention if they hadn't stepped up.
- Datcyde, on 01/20/2009, -1/+3They need to start Brett Ratliff or Erik Ainge. Get out of here Favre!!!!!! Thanks but we don't need you!!!!
- smacksaw, on 01/20/2009, -0/+2Rex Ryan to Jets, replacing Eric Mangini.
Eric Mangini to Browns. Rob Ryan from Raiders to Browns.
They might as well have kept Mangini and just gotten Rob Ryan. That way you get both. And it's not like Rex is somehow markedly better than Rob. - EMFK, on 01/19/2009, -1/+3Buddy Ryan's son is going to be coaching the Jets. Wow!
- smacksaw, on 01/20/2009, -0/+2If Rex Ryan coached them, they'd be dirtier than the Flyers of the 70's.
"Bounty on Luongo!"
At least Avery could find a place to play... - T8erT0T, on 01/20/2009, -2/+3Doesn't solve the Favre quagmire that still persists.
- GoldenGlovez, on 01/20/2009, -0/+1I would rather see Ratliff starting then Clemens.
- NJJ56, on 01/20/2009, -0/+1he will be back- one more year, they will offer him too much money (even though that he played this year in new york for half of what green bay offered him to just sit at home). then there gonna go after a QB this year to train for a year, or wait for when all the good college QB's come out in the 2010 draft and start a rookie. I smell a QB controversy for 2010 in north jersey
- Datcyde, on 01/20/2009, -1/+2Agreed!!!!!! Clemens sucks. Start Brett Ratliff or Erik Ainge.
- GoldenGlovez, on 01/20/2009, -0/+1Ratliff > Clemens.
- bimtott, on 01/20/2009, -2/+3Jets already have Kellen Clemens, who was showing great promise, and was likely to start before they pulled Brett Favre out of their ass.
- mgadalsky, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1Wonderful! Rubbish. http://drinkster.info
- LordRedSnake, on 01/20/2009, -1/+2It's hard to blame your defense when they're on the field the whole game after your offense repeatedly turns it over.
- etaslace, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1See ya, Rex! Enjoy yourself.
http://superbowlpartylimo.com - devfeed, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1Not so useful, but... Things like this happen everywhere. http://homemasters.info
- brotherbob1, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1As a Jets fan, I'm happy with the pick of Ryan mainly because the tenacity of the defense sputtered down the stretch big time. Ryan is a guy who has proven that he knows how to get a defense to play for him, and to the highest standards. How he'll do as a head coach, managing both sides of the ball, remains to be seen.
- PGPirate, on 01/20/2009, -1/+2What are you gonna do now Jeff Jag?
- bimtott, on 01/20/2009, -3/+2This is step one in what the Jets need to do.
Step 2 = tell Favre to get the ***** out
Step 3 = start giving Kellen Clemens the snaps he needs to develop his talent.
Step 4 = playoffs!
(Underwear gnomes reference ignored because it's lame) - inactive, on 01/20/2009, -1/+0Ratliff is better than Clemens? Haha - what a ridiculous statement. We haven't seen him take a snap! It's ridiculous to say that he should be the starter or that he's better than Clemens. They need to draft a franchise Q.B.
- T8erT0T, on 01/20/2009, -4/+2I hear you man, I really do, but there's more work that needs to be done with our beloved team than just suping up our defense. We need a quarterback that doesn't wear a yellow greenbay colored t-shirt under his uniform (see: dolphins game) who can take a hit or two without worrying about flat-lining and can actually hit a reciever in the clutch.
