- robbiedo, on 07/06/2009, -0/+36Something is weird. She got busted for DUI two before the "incident."
I get the feeling that....
McNair said, "Things aren't working out, and maybe we should take a break."
She got all, "But you said you were going to leave your wife. You said that me, you, and my giant nose would be together forever."
McNair shrugged, "Sorry babe, but guys sometimes just say stuff, I need the keys to the Escalade." - Snuff99, on 07/06/2009, -4/+27PEW,PEW,PEW,PEW - THUD.
PEW- THUD.
The end. - PhillyOC, on 07/06/2009, -3/+26***** around doing what you are not supposed to be doing, and ***** happens. If he was at home with his family he would still be alive.
- gizram84, on 07/06/2009, -2/+20no, i think that gun had it out for him. eventually the gun would have hunted him down and pulled it's own trigger...
- PhillyOC, on 07/06/2009, -0/+15I imagine it happening exactly like that. He was trying to get out of it and she didn't want to lose her cash cow.
- pathouston22, on 07/06/2009, -1/+13Yeah, he goes from dead to dead-er?
- dball48, on 07/06/2009, -0/+12Go on...
- PhillyOC, on 07/06/2009, -0/+11You idiot. They found the gun underneath of her. Read the ***** story.
- matroska1, on 07/06/2009, -2/+11maybe she bought it for defense from some other crazy person, like a jealous ex-boyfriend who caught McNair and her together and killed them?
- RyanOC, on 07/06/2009, -1/+10Haven't you seen "Final Destination"? There's no escape from the reaper!
- dafragsta, on 07/06/2009, -0/+9rwbrinso: Digg's man on the street.
- jesusfish, on 07/06/2009, -15/+24Guns don't kill people, homewrecking adulterers do.
- ssquared22, on 07/06/2009, -5/+14Horrible end to such a great career and life.
- ethanator1088, on 07/06/2009, -5/+13RIP Steve McNair.
- oldhick, on 07/06/2009, -2/+9Sweet, I got the opportunity to bury you 3 times!
- palpacino, on 07/06/2009, -0/+6That chick that missed that Air France flight...
- mattw, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5You forgot the sarcasm tag.
- twiztidsinz, on 07/06/2009, -1/+6Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "execution style" infer that the person is shot in the back of the head, typically on their knees?
How could 'execution style' imitate a suicide? - dball48, on 07/06/2009, -2/+7The gun was found under her. They've known it was a murder suicide from the beginning.
- hybridcreation, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5She's from Orange Park, FL...which is where I live. I don't know why the authorities are dancing around the murder-suicide scenario. It seems like a classic case.
- MWeather, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5"Well, some of us can actually read the words "well regulated militia","
And some of us read the entire thing, realizing that the fact that it states that well regulated militia is necessary for the security of a free state has absolutely no restrictive effect on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. English *****, do you speak it? - jeffwmartin, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4Yea, cause countries where guns are banned don't have any violence at all.
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -2/+6In her defense, she had nice *****.
- MothBoy, on 07/06/2009, -4/+8Sahel Kazemi?
That is a name that screams out "I've got brothers who will kill you if they find us together". - snafflepaffle, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5"A stand up guy"
That's what you all were saying in the first thread. Ready to take that back? - 1ofMany, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5Not that we're keeping score here, right?
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4"She was so happy. ... She just had it made, you know, (with) this guy taking care of everything."
---
Well, almost. - hybridcreation, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5Yeah, then only the criminals would have them. And that would solve EVERYTHING. I'll say it for the 10,000th time: banning guns only affects those that obtain them through legal channels and takes them out of the hands of the people that need them.
Someone please tell me why this is so hard to understand? - boxxa, on 07/06/2009, -3/+6Jeeze if I was gonna be shot dead by someone I at least hope it would be by someone hot.
- hater2win, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4Epic reenactment.
You win the prize! - diggduggjoe, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4My first feeling was an ex boyfriend or hubby. I find it hard to imagine a woman doing a murder suicide like this, especially with planning for it by buying a gun.
He could have dumped her. I guess it comes down to powder residue, If she put 4 rounds into him, she must be covered with it. 4 rounds sounds like a crime of passion. However, a boyfriend in a rage could have plugged him and then her, but resisted screwing up the cover-up by shooting her more than once. He then placed the gun under her.
That is pretty far-fetched, too.
Most likely, she did it, but wow!
When guys cheat like this, they are asking for trouble. The girl seems foolish. When screwing a married man with kids, you are just a drainage ditch for his spunk. Let him prove his love by divorcing first.
I have never understood the "I love you and you are better off dead than without me" thought process. If my wife cheated on me I would be mad, hurt, whatever, but I love her and want her to be happy, not dead. Even if that means without me. Add into the mix I do not wish to spend the rest of my life in prison or having to choose suicide as an escape, I just do not get it. - AlterLite, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3He hit the couch, so the THUD would be more of a WHUMP since the cushions would cover up the sound.
- twiztidsinz, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4Good job cracking the case Detective DCJoeDogaswell.
- Christianptriot, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3This is a secondary point to the tragedy of this immoral arrangement: HOW - if the police and all law enforcement agencies at all levels are NOT supposed to maintain ANY records of gun purchases or histories - did they identify the gun as hers so easily?
- Snuff99, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3framed!
- PhillyOC, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
- j0en, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2I agree. Anyone who is willing to give away in liberty, including abortion and taking away the right to do what you want to your body, does not deserve any liberty.
- PhillyOC, on 07/06/2009, -2/+4You can have my Taurus PT-92 Stainless when you pry it from my cold dead hand.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+217 photos from the crime scene of steve mcnair dead
http://taszara.com/steve-mcnair-crime-scene-photos ... - SkippyDoorknob, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2The gun was tied to a bundle of helium balloons and floated away after the shooting.
- jeffwmartin, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Sorry, I did think about it for a second or two, wondering if you were being sarcastic. Looks like I decided incorrectly.
- garths, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3Maybe he shot her, shot himself several times, then put the gun in her hand?
Stranger things have happened. You may have heard of the Canadian guy who was arrested for drinking a beer after a hockey game. Twenty minutes later he was dead, face down in a couch at the police station with a bullet in the back of his head. It was self-defense, of course.
Of course I'm being sarcastic. - jba68, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3Stay away from the Nookie gurl....
- inigomntoya, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3Yeah, I buried you because Phil Hartman DEFINITELY didn't kill them. Duh...
- Dimensio, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2"This is seriously messed up. If only the U.S. would just ban guns, then all this violence would just stop."
Please explain how all existing civilian owned firearms would be confiscated and their owners compensated. Explain how illegally owned firearms would be removed. Demonstrate that this removal would 'stop' all violent crime. Be specific. - palpacino, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2You nailed it. That is exactly how it happened.
If he was on the couch, he might have been watching TV and just his casual demeanor about it probably pissed her off even more so she blindsided him, probably screamed, then did it to herself.
But typically, couldn't you imagine a person in her shoes killing the guy, then sort of "Oh *****" and pacing around the place? Doing this or that. Suicide noting something. Then killing herself elsewhere. Perhaps even getting in the car or freaking out some more and just, all in all, doing something other than turning immediately to kill herself?
I HATE conspiracy theorist junk as its, what, 99.9999% BS you hear? But I could imagine someone (someone he knows probably as he was sitting on the couch... but I guess someone could have told him to sit there with a gun pointed at him) ... putting the gun in her hand (with another pointed at her) and having her kill him. Then overpowering her and forcing the gun to her head and making her pull the trigger. Then leaving with the doors still locked out the window or balcony?
I'd like to know if EVERY door and window was locked from the inside and if there was any ANY ANY way possible for someone to get out without having to deadbolt the door. (I just heard the door was locked by the way, still haven't read that from any source... anyone know?) - rondobbs, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2She killed him and killed herself. Nuff said.
- gizram84, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2haha, i didn't think i needed it
- Christianptriot, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1If you are willing to sacrifice any part of just ONE of your Rights, you don't deserve to have them at all...and I bet there are people in elected office right now who will oblige you before Obama leaves office.
- diggduggjoe, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1Yeeah..., right. She would have poisoned him, stabbed him, run him over with the car, light him afire while he was asleep, bludgeon him with a baseball bat or use some other means before she ODed. Crimes of passion will happen somehow.
Illegal drugs are the cause of most gun deaths. Yet, he could have kept his rocket at home where it belonged. -
