- pjack91, on 11/28/2007, -0/+29"Yeah, it's a cure-all. My buddy Jonah broke his elbow one time. He just smoked some weed. It still clicks, but it's cool."
- MalikNYC, on 11/28/2007, -0/+21Atleast he wouldn't have anything to do with the Dolphins going 0-16 this season.
- dblatti, on 11/28/2007, -2/+18Self-medicate it Rick!
- platypibri, on 11/28/2007, -0/+14Don't they have the only perfect NFL season ever? 0-16 would bookend that record nicely.
- bigp3rm, on 11/28/2007, -1/+14It pissed me off the way they kept bringing up his pot smoking.
- PaulLewis, on 11/28/2007, -2/+13That's just sad, I was really looking forward to his return. I thought he played decent for being on that horrible field last night.
- pilot3033, on 11/28/2007, -3/+14Not irony.
But ***** though. - zioxide, on 11/28/2007, -0/+10Yeah, he definitely sucked when he led the NFL in rushing a few years ago. (1,853 yards in 2002).
- flipsidedispilf, on 11/28/2007, -0/+8Hmmm... I only saw him pass it on the left hand side
- dmoney22, on 11/28/2007, -4/+11dude, look at the replay for that play I swear, it looks like that fat Steelers player stomped on him so he wouldnt get the ball back.
- thredden, on 11/28/2007, -6/+12don't step on me bro?
- BetterWatching, on 11/28/2007, -0/+6Or when he won the Heisman Trophy.
- davewashere, on 11/28/2007, -1/+7Well he did fumble the ball in a game that his team lost 3-0, so you could argue that he already did have something to do with 0-16.
- pascal21, on 11/28/2007, -2/+73-0 loss?
- hartley, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5I'm pretty sure they are referring to it being read as 3-0 and not 0-3. The subject is usually listed by the first score.
Miami's 0-3 loss.
Steelers' 3-0 win. - Lax32, on 11/28/2007, -1/+6I feel bad for him. Its obvious he wasnt just a pot head, he just had really bad social anxiety disorder.
- brentinkc, on 11/28/2007, -2/+7Bo knows rehab
- timjim31, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5wow that took me a large amount of time to figure out that was "rain"
- JPCordero, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4The announcers kept acting like he got hurt cause of being out of football and poor conditioning. The fact of the matter was that he got stomped. bad.
- meed, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4my rambling about the incident:
First, why isn' the guy who stomped on him getting a fine or suspended? The footage clearly shows that the guy who stomped on Ricky clearly used him as a stepping stoned on the muddy field.
Second, Weed could never have of contributed to this type of injury. Quit beating a dead dog please.
Third, Ricky Simply can't just "quit" he's under contract and would have to pay back alot of money I am guessing he doesn't have. He's stuck playing till atleast his current contract is up.
Fourth, Once Ricky is free from his contract I hope he picks back up the hash pipe and tells the NFL to kiss his ass. - rush378, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4The field was muddy, so no one could score. One of the punts just stuck in the mud when everyone thought it would bounce.
- freefoodisgood, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Karma? Seriously? He smoked some pot, he didn't run over anyone.
- alexkriegsmann, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3god damn the dolphins suck
- TjLAXattack, on 11/28/2007, -0/+376 buccaneers i think... maybe wrong
- inactive, on 11/28/2007, -4/+7Only 6 carries, but they failed to mention his numerous passes. Passes to the left....passes to the right...
- BinaryCleric, on 11/28/2007, -1/+3That game was some of the funniest ***** I have ever seen. It looked like 12 year-old backyard football. Still that sucks for Ricky Williams, when I saw the play where he was injured I just cringed at how much that had to have hurt.
- inactive, on 11/28/2007, -1/+3Yep, and that 3 came in the last minutes... It was painful to watch.
- jsballardx, on 11/28/2007, -0/+2Pac?
- netant, on 11/28/2007, -0/+2He's an addict. The NFL quit on him. (And penalized him for being an addict.)
- netant, on 11/29/2007, -0/+2Thanks for the tip (and scolds for not following it up). Yes the '76 Bucs were the first team to go 0-14, but no team has ever gone 0-16... yet. Now I (Jet fan) have something to root for when following the Dolphins.
- rocket777, on 11/28/2007, -0/+2Yes, especially that holier than thou butthole that kept preaching. I had turn off the audio and listen to something on the Internet. If this is all football can offer, I'll just do without.
- bills534, on 11/28/2007, -0/+2What else would you expect from the steelers? cheap shots, and dirty play are just part of their game. damn yinzers.
- mal1964, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2Smoke blunts leave the stunts up to Super Dave!
- madhouseradio, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2Ricky man, just give it up and stick to your weed and yoga bro
- Jeffler, on 11/28/2007, -4/+5Sure its ironic. Its like ra-ee-ayyynnnn....
- mds76, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Downward Dog just got stomped the ***** OUT.
- jetblackz4, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2He needs a FAT blunt and say ***** it.
This is an example of why we should legalize weed the guy is so talented but we might know just how much. - ShogunWarPig, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Its a shame, Ricky was probably the greatest college running back I've seen in my lifetime. Oh well.......
- obliviousfool, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2What game were you watching?! There were exactly 3 turnovers. Two fumbles by the Dolphins and one pick thrown by Ben. The ball went exactly nowhere because of the field on kicks. It just went splat, and ended up stuck in glue.
- deadsenator, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Yah, they were loving the Ricky-bashing up. Up until Mike Tirico showed them the replay, then they seemed to shut the f%&k up for once.
They call Jaworski "Jaws" because he won't stop flapping them. - mashedpotatoes, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2If you watched the game or at least saw the slow motion replay, he was deliberately stomped on by a 200+ lb. football player with the biggest cleats allowable in the NFL due to the conditions. It was blatant and disgusting. End of story.
- rizla420, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Its the way it ended up twisting his torso that caused it to tear. I could see how the two are related.
- toxicredm, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Does this mean pot is a performance enhancing drug?
- zzzpoohzzz, on 11/28/2007, -1/+1so he got a torn chest muscle from getting his back (which was covered by pads)
and he ran another play after that...
dont get me wrong it would hurt your back like hell.... but i dont think that would tear a chest muscle - deadsenator, on 11/28/2007, -2/+2Especially if the Patriots go unbeaten in the same season!
- DevilInPgh, on 11/28/2007, -3/+3Dude, remember the context. Freshly laid sod at Heinz Field, which essentially acted like a sponge. I'm sure Timmons was thinking less about stomping Ricky than preventing his knee from getting shredded while diving for the loose ball. There is no comparison here to Marcus Vick's deliberate stomp in a sunny game.
- jsballardx, on 11/28/2007, -2/+2He quit on his team. Karma.
- CousinSal, on 11/28/2007, -0/+0The replays actually show that the player who stepped on him (Lawrence Timmons) had just jumped over an offensive lineman who was on the ground in front of him and came down on top of Ricky's shoulder. Sadly it is a very unfortunate incident and a shame that his comeback ends this quickly, but I don't think it was intentional. Possibly a fine will be placed upon Timmons for the act and I think it would be justified for the careless action, but a suspension should only be issued when there is clear intent to injure. It is very hard to determine exactly where you want your foot to land when you are running and leaping over another player at full speed in half a foot of mud and trying to locate the fumbled ball at the same time.
Careless, definitely. Intentional, I don't think so but that's just my opinion of it. We'll just have to wait and see if the Dolphins issue any complaints about it but since they've had the chance to look at replays and I hadn't heard anything from Ricky Williams about it I doubt it would ever get much more than a fine. - Hoxie, on 11/28/2007, -2/+2Yeah. Dolphins are pathetic this season.
- DevilInPgh, on 11/28/2007, -0/+0The 2007 Miami Dolphins: When it rains, it pours. And it definitely poured last night.
