- thinkb4utype, on 10/28/2009, -0/+24I'm a long suffering Redskins fan.
Put me out of my misery.....
Please kill me. - pilzburybizkit, on 10/28/2009, -6/+27Pretty sure the Giants do the same thing. And there's nothing wrong with it. When you pay what you do for tickets the last thing you want is some jagoff with a huge sign in front of you all game. Especially when it's not even about the team but some booth crew-ass kissing pun or something just to guarantee they get on TV.
- nahsrocketeer75, on 10/28/2009, -0/+15Time to break out the paper-bag masks.
- mkriss5681, on 10/29/2009, -2/+16I dunno. I have season tickets to the Ravens. I spend a lot a lot money to go see those games. I'd be kinda pissed off if some attention whore in front of me kept waving a sign in my face, blocking my view.
- ZaZ2137, on 10/29/2009, -1/+14Yes.
- AmnesiacJack, on 10/29/2009, -2/+15As a Native American (potawatomi tribe to be exact) I find your political correctness to be offensive and so 1990s.
My elders might agree with you though. - ThatGeek, on 10/29/2009, -0/+12when they suck this bad its offensive to everyone
- toxicityj, on 10/29/2009, -1/+12pussy.
- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -0/+9You're already dead inside.
- boogerthecat, on 10/29/2009, -0/+9Jim Zorn is a solid football man. He knows what he is doing. He is not the problem.
Nor have Joe Gibbs or Steve Spurrier been the problem.
They have all been highly respected and successful coaches.
The owner and the front office ARE the problem. - spiderman0505, on 10/28/2009, -2/+10Dugg for having a Jets player in the Digg pic.
- morgino, on 10/29/2009, -1/+8If the Raiders did this....well I guess no one really goes to Raider games anymore except retards who can't spell anyways
- vsujohn2, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5http://thesportsgeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/ ...
- C777K, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5Suddenly, Jerry Jones doesn't seem so bad.
- Pimptastic, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4Im only offended because they dont have a team called 'the fighting Polacks" Its not far that my nationality and heritage isnt being used for a football team.
- master69better, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4....that bastard could be playing Uncharted 2 on that big ass TV of his
- Scopalamine, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3I feel your pain
- C777K, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3"today's game has been postponed due to pwnage"
- Scopalamine, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3Way to be a jets fan...
- agentsrecord, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3Could be worse. You could live in Detroit.
- jedinate, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2Not just Redskin franchise history, he is the worst owner in NFL history.
- cyclopssmiley, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2Snyder is the worst owner in the franchise's history. As the son of a season ticket holder, it pains me to see such ***** management.
- SEN5241, on 10/29/2009, -1/+3Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.
Blocking out the scenery,
breaking my mind.
Do this! Don't do that!
Can't you see the sign? - PuddMaster, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2dugg for leon washington in the thumbnail...otherwise i dont give a ***** about the redskins and their dbag owner
- mkriss5681, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2From Wikipedia:
"Multiple theories fight for prominence as to the true historical origin of the word 'redskin.' One theory, mentioned above, is that the term was meant as merely a physical indicator, similar to the words "white" and "black" for Caucasians and African Americans, respectively. Another theory holds that it was first used by Native Americans during the 1800s as a way of distinguishing themselves from the ever-growing white population. An often mentioned third but not proven." origin involves the bloody skins (red-skins) of Native people as "prizes," in which they would be scalped after battle and their skins bought and sold in local towns. To date there is no historical documentation or evidence to support this theory." - merky1, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2I guess Snyder is such a control freak that he won't allow anyone to provide input on the team.
- Truth3, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2True, signs are really annoying for other people. They can block your view. I think Redskins fans might want to have signs in their stadium, nobody wants to see them play. :D ;)
- thirdeyeopen, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2Bye bye redskins.
- shipwreck58, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2It starts with the owner. And I am especially bitter these last two years because I dont like the Redskins but have been rooting for them because my childhood was spent watching the Seahawks with Zorn and Sherman SMith on the team, so I want them to do well.
- randyzaia, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1It's a good thing the Celtics aren't so thin-skinned.
- oo7evan, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Maybe Snyder can open the checkbook and just buy the whole Jets team.
- mbraynard, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Why is that third theory even in Wikipedia?
- gkiltz, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Don't know about the worst in NFL history!
The original Baltimore Colts only lasted ONE YEAR, 1952! They were re-formed under another owner 2 years later.
Tampa Bay's first owner actually found ways to make money without winning any games. They still have the longest losing streak. Didn't win a game until the next-to-last game of their SECOND season in existence.
Look at William Clay Ford in Detroit. Apparently he has surrounded himself with people who are pretty good at running a car company. Ford didn't ask for or get a bailout. He has no clue how to run a football team.
Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones in Dallas have a lot in common. They are both good businessmen, who are just not the football men they think they are. Jones, however has been around longer, has been in a business that is a lot tougher, and has learned more in the school of hard knocks. - unreal2k5, on 10/29/2009, -1/+2As a season ticket holder to the Packers. Nothing pisses me off more than watching a big play develop and some jerk off in front of me throws up a sign, making me miss the play. I say ban signs so we can enjoy the game.
- xeonrage, on 10/29/2009, -1/+2every sport should ban signs.. its obstructive, tacky and trashy. why should nfl want to look like wwe? f that
#1 way to tell a person at a game is a moron.. did they bring a sign - Sefus, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1My team sucks. And now they suck even more. Stick a fork in it, man. It's over :(
- TheCollective00, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick 'Americans' as their mascot.
- gkiltz, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1They have yet to disallow paper bag. It's time!
I remember the time whe the Saints were this bad.
That's what finally pushed the New Orleans Ain'ts to finally become the Saints we know today. - BigVi, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Im not a big fan of what the NFL is doing to the league, but I wish this one would be league wide. I hate paying 110 bucks for an obstructed seat because someone made a sign.
- boogerthecat, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1I'd say better luck next year but as long as Snyder owns the team, I doubt things are going to improve much.
He will hire another good coach, spend a ***** on over-the-hill free agents and then second guess and undermine the coach at every turn. - agentsrecord, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1You're right! I'm Scandinavian!
***** the Vikings! That ***** is racist! - jedinate, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1I have a better idea than bringing signs to the games. Stop going to the games. An empty stadium will say more than a sign ever could.
- Pimptastic, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Maybe something like Marines will be used in a few thousand years like we use Spartans.
- HottLumpiaz, on 10/29/2009, -1/+1A half filled Black Hole is still 20,000+ screaming fans who are just as enthusiastic about their team as anyone else.
- cleo22, on 10/29/2009, -0/+0*beatbox sound*
you're post look like a freestyle rap..LoL - motivatedguy, on 10/29/2009, -1/+1To all the retards who think it's a good idea to ban signs -- You've obviously never been a football game before...
- whoam, on 10/30/2009, -0/+0i don't know i think that argument they gave is a little disingenuous, it seems like most of the signs are up during breaks in play. And at skins games they aren't afraid of kicking people out. If someone's got a sign during play say hey buddy sit the ***** down i'm trying to watch the game. They just don't like what the signs say and the influx of those. Point taken though signs are pretty stupid.
- at9999, on 11/01/2009, -0/+0Join the plan to turn FedEx Field itself into a sign Snyder can't ban:
http://fire-snyder-sign.blogspot.com/ - jojomartinezjr, on 10/29/2009, -0/+0At least they won't go an entire season without winning a game. Go Lions!
