- RealmDown, on 12/03/2008, -3/+96FLASH: Former running back O.J. Simpson enters prison and becomes a wide receiver.
- oboshoe, on 12/03/2008, -2/+74"Your honor, go easy on my client, he hasn't killed anyone in years"
- iMattK, on 12/03/2008, -11/+59First time "convicted" offender would be a much more accurate way of putting it. I can think of at least two people who are in the grave that would say otherwise if given the voice to object.
- tomz17, on 12/03/2008, -3/+39Fortunately, that is NOT how our legal system works... You cannot be an offender without being "convicted". Therefore he IS a first time offender, despite how much it pains me to say that...
- bushout, on 12/03/2008, -2/+35Tee hee hee.... he means in the butt.
- winstonsmith303, on 12/03/2008, -1/+29I'm pretty sure OJ has been using bad judgment for quite some time.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 12/03/2008, -3/+25"first-time offender"
funny funny stuff. - GeeksSpeakFont, on 12/03/2008, -3/+22Um, you could call it bad judgment, but that doesn't mean it's not commiting a crime...
- jmuncy, on 12/03/2008, -2/+18They should break out the Chewbacca defense.
- oneredeye, on 12/03/2008, -2/+17You're saying then that they should kill him twice?
- manlyandy, on 12/03/2008, -4/+16He is technically a first time offender. It may be a statement that you believe lacks common sense, but lets not throw out the justice system and its laws when we feel it doesn't suit us on a case by case basis. If someday you should be legitimately falsely accused of a crime and acquitted or found innocent, I'm sure you wouldn't like that held against you if you were ever in court again just cause someone feels you should have been guilty.
- ObeseSnake, on 12/03/2008, -0/+12But how will he search for Nicole and Ron's killer if he is in prison?
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -1/+13How stupid is he? If I could get away with double homicide, I would obey the law for the rest of my life.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10You should have stopped before the racial slur.
- santaliqueur, on 12/03/2008, -0/+9Only before the first night.
- thegrantman, on 12/03/2008, -0/+9Drink cranberry juice instead...O.J. will kill you.
- mrcaulfield, on 12/03/2008, -7/+16Oh come on now O.J., you've got to meet justice half-way on this one.
You got away with "not using good judgement" the first time around.
Surely it is just that you pay for it the 2nd time around. - lutafin, on 12/03/2008, -5/+14Armed robbery and kidnapping. Can anybody explain to me how "he didn't show criminal intent"
I'm going to get completely wasted and kill everyone on sight. I can't be convicted for it since i wasn't using good judgment because i was drunk, but sadly it won't work with me, because i'm not rich and famous. - nkleffman, on 12/03/2008, -1/+10This is why we need Norm Macdonald back on the air, no one else did OJ jokes like he did.
- insertAliasHere, on 12/03/2008, -4/+12Regardless, that doesn't mean that the judge has to accept that excuse.
- doremon313, on 12/03/2008, -3/+11first-time-got-caught offender you mean
- P1um, on 12/03/2008, -2/+9For some reason I feel like some orange juice.
- muleskinner, on 12/03/2008, -0/+7Not even the first time caught. Just first time convicted :/
- urbandistrict, on 12/03/2008, -2/+8This would have never happened if he didn't veer off course in his relentless pursuit to find Nicole's killer. (by that, I mean look into a mirror)
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6Sure just put a 0 behind that 6 - then kick him in the nuts
- dha07030, on 12/03/2008, -8/+14My way? Sorry I hate to see people get away with murder.
- djdingo, on 12/03/2008, -4/+10In Hell.
- Rivetgeek, on 12/03/2008, -1/+7People who commit double homicide and leave evidence EVERYWHERE don't tend to be rocket scientists.
- hiimcliff, on 12/03/2008, -13/+18Stop trying to convict him for a murder that he was acquitted of. I guess the justice system fails whenever it doesn't go your way. Total BS.
- greenlight2001, on 12/03/2008, -2/+7do her bareback?
- humanstruggle, on 12/03/2008, -4/+9First time offender....right. this is such a mockery of our justice system. I hope the judge convicts and throws the book at him.
- dha07030, on 12/03/2008, -4/+8So you are technically right, great. So we should just accept every ruling as the word of god or something?
- kvgirard, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4it doesnt. make. sense.
- Heapbasket, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4The whole first time offense shouldn't apply to anyone who has committed a crime like the one he is getting charged for. Lets list the offenses: two counts each of robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon as well as one count each of conspiracy to commit burglary and burglary with a firearm and we can't forget kidnapping.
So if I kill someone and it's my first offense, should I get leniency? - wilhoitm, on 12/03/2008, -3/+7White women are the Black man's Krytonite!
- shiddysmurf, on 12/03/2008, -2/+6If the glove don't fit...........
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -9/+13> but deserves leniency in sentencing as he is a first-time offender who showed no criminal intent.
>leniency in sentencing as he is a first-time offender who showed no criminal intent.
>he is a first-time offender who showed no criminal intent.
>he is a first-time offender
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU - DutchOven, on 12/03/2008, -1/+5Probably a little tight end too.
- Cglass, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4I'd say that it's been a bit more than 6 years that he hasn't been using good judgment...
- publiclurker, on 12/04/2008, -1/+4The justice system fails when there is no justice. Just because a few idiots with an ax to grind let a killer go free, doesn't mean I need to deny the truth.
- gquaglia, on 12/04/2008, -0/+3OJ is a total douche. He got away with murder, but instead of fading out of the lime light, Mr Cocky couldn't seem to keep his foot out of his mouth. He should get life simply for being a dumb ass.
- PolkStreet, on 12/03/2008, -2/+5They shouldn't send him to prison...
He might fall on something sharp. Like a shiv... or someone's dick. - thundacatblue, on 12/04/2008, -2/+5@hiimcliff
He wasn't convicted by a jury of his peers. His peers would have been rich people in Brentwood, not low income people with an axe to grind w/ the police. Change of venue happens for a reason. - santaliqueur, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4Don't forget, he played a little football too.
- TrevorBelmont, on 12/03/2008, -4/+7This one time he sawed a lady's head off. He was also in The Naked Gun. One of those reasons, probably.
- c0baltfish, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3He's dead...
- theWaterboy, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4LAWYER: ...yeah... I mean it's not like he hacked anyone to death with a butcher knife.... he just robbed someone at gunpoint.
- inactive, on 12/04/2008, -0/+3OJ falsely accused? Please change your digg name to gullible.
- staticneuron, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Meaning that if he really did it, the jury wouldn't have just let him off the hook. The court case was a complete joke and people up in arms proclaiming he's guilty really didn't ppay attention to the case at all and are just spewing some targeted hatred.
Why? Who the ***** knows. - LoungeActx, on 12/04/2008, -1/+3Wait...didn't he right a book entitled "If I did it" or something? And in said book, didn't he detail "What he would have done, if he did it." On top of that, a bunch of us watched that trial on TV, and I gotta be honest, if I were a member of that jury, I wouldn't have let him go. So under these circumstances, I'd say take that into account, but it's hard to perceive him as someone who hasn't shown a pattern of violent behavior.
