- YuriSakazaki, on 11/13/2007, -3/+29So they bought those "credits", which means they're not actually putting up windmills, they're just paying to say that they're using windmill power even if they're not.
Genius. - inactive, on 11/13/2007, -3/+23I love sports stories on Digg. It brings out the most unintelligent of posts.
- hoppy44, on 11/13/2007, -2/+22Wind assistance? That will come in handy on those long field goal attempts.
- ladbroke, on 11/13/2007, -5/+22Curse the Patriots and their not giving me a reason to hate them further.
- tk623, on 11/13/2007, -10/+27They don't need to cheat. And you're just jealous because they are better than whatever team you support. You're probably a dolphins fan. lol.
- fahimi, on 11/13/2007, -3/+1795% of the wind will come from Randy Moss running down the field
- diktator279, on 11/13/2007, -0/+9Since at least 2 people didn't get it, I guess it needs explanation (apparently My bad). The term "Yankees Suck" has become so common with New England sports that... ***** it, its lost on you people.

*Enroute to perfect season while obliterating a plethora of offensive records. - chrisj33, on 11/13/2007, -2/+10Football requires more strategy and planning then almost every other major sport.
- bimtott, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7Yes. Not only have they gone undefeated, they invented the concept of renewable energy credits.
- bigbill780, on 11/13/2007, -5/+11Finally they can utilize Peyton Manning's constant blowing.
- quomen, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4wtf dude, CBS, The NFL, and the Colts Franchise have all attributed the audio glitch to a CBS ERROR.
- fahimi, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4I heard that the Cowboys are using the sucking from the rest of the NFC to power their own fans!
I like it. - diktator279, on 11/13/2007, -6/+10Lots of people mentioning that camera thing knowing full well just about everyone in the league did it... Keep on scratching the bottom of that barrel, but remember the true enemy:
YANKEES SUCK - nksoccer13, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Hey at least the Bills are over 500.
- wazzledoozle2, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Exactly. Buying "green credits" != using green energy. It's a new ***** trend in the green fad. If they were truly trying to go green, it would involve a lot more than some cash changing hands.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Purchasing credits is NOT "using wind energy".
Calling this some great step forward is like praising NBC for fading to black several times last week to help the environment, all the while cutting down a nice huge tree to light up with thousands of energy sucking lights this Christmas. - diktator279, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4We have a soccer team?
- JasonCox, on 11/13/2007, -1/+5Shipoopi!
- leogodin217, on 11/13/2007, -2/+5Come on, like we Patriots fans need Windmills to generate that much energy... I mean we are full of ourselves... Loud... And obnoxious... You know with 3 of the last 6 Super Bowls, 9-0, the best QB in the game... the best Receiver in the game... The best coach in the game... Great other teams... World Series win... Great Celtics team... Revolution Soccer (I've heard)... Bruins (OK we'll leave the Bruins out of this). Wow it's awesome to be a New England fan!!!!!!!
- diktator279, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3Swing and a miss... joke, numbtard.
- badenglishihave, on 11/13/2007, -4/+7That's not going to matter much if Brady keeps throwing 4, 5, 6 touchdowns/game.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3I'm sure Sen Ted Kennedy(D) will find someway to cancel this. He's is against wind power and has worked in the past to get projects in Massachusetts cancelled.
- Typhoon2009, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3Instead of all this money going to those silly "feel-good credits", how about making them go towards building actual windmills, solar panels, and energy research?
- j33buscr1p3s, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3Clearly you've never been to the RCA dome if you think the Colts pipe in noise. We happen to have one of the most disciplined crowds in the NFL. Loud on every 3rd down, and quiet every time Peyton has the ball. You really need to experience it to make any kind of judgement on it.
- pixelate, on 11/13/2007, -2/+5Aren't you supposed to say something less stupid after the "In all seriousness"?
- eleventh, on 11/13/2007, -0/+2I agree. You can't buy your way out of your civic responsibility not to be a polluting *****. Energy credits just mean "hey, if I'm rich, I can do whatever I want and just buy my way to morality." Fail.
- bimtott, on 11/13/2007, -0/+2My god. Have all these comments been written by the "boom goes the dynamite" kid??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W45DRy7M1no - EBFoxbat, on 11/13/2007, -1/+3Yup 8 minutes into the first game of the season... must be how they're 9-0
- dickybrown, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1great idea - now please convince those liberal Mass senators to allow people to put up a few windmills in their back yards (or out in the ocean barely in view of the senior senator's compound
- Mikejoneswho5, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1I heard that the *your favorite team* are using the sucking from the *rival team* to power their own fans!
- dmann, on 11/13/2007, -1/+2i raise my cup o chowdah to ya!
- statrick, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1hell yeah, go PATS!
- chrisj33, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1They got five interceptions off of Tony Romo and still couldn't win. Tony ****ing Romo
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -2/+3If they don't need to, why DO they?
- stormgren, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1It's like everything Cleveland has wanted to be, god damn it.
Cleveland (and Ohio) 2007:
OSU lost national championship in football, AND lost national championship in basketball. Cavs lost NBA finals. Indians lose one game away from the world series.
Browns will probably be one game out of the playoffs the way things are going.
(Oh, and my high school lost in the state soccer final. 2-1. In overtime.)
***** it, I'm moving to Boston. - rayearth42, on 11/13/2007, -1/+2They can use it to power their spy cameras.
- leogodin217, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Be of good cheer. If it can happen to us it can happen to you. I sat through many, many, many bad seasons of terrible Pats/Celts/Sox teams
- Error601, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1They're not using wind energy. They're just paying for some PR "renewable energy credits" thing.
- leogodin217, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1I agree. I suppose if the money is going directly to subsidize actual wind energy use it's good. At least it's not quite as bad as the carbon credit scam.
- HUKI365, on 11/13/2007, -1/+2That and "9/11 troof" stories.
- justAnother9, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about this credit thing. Maybe it's a start, but It's going to take a lot more effort than that if we really want to do something about global warming, etc.
- leogodin217, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Funny thing is, they are in the finals
- dickybrown, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1i don't want to get into a pissing match (and I actually have Romo in my work-fantasy league) but Brady is the best QB right now - honestly, who else would you rather give the ball to with 3 minutes left down by 3 points? He's not the fastest, or the ....blah blah blah.... the guy knows how to win. (I don't think I even watched the whole Pats/Cowboys game - it got boring didn't it?)
- DeviantDragon, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1DUPLICATE STORY, it's already been frontpaged, bury down.
- CaptainNoPants, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Not a dolphins fan, I guess I should have lathered that comment up with a bit more sarcasm.
Go Big Blue! - rupprupp29, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Romo is #4 at best.
Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger, then Romo - meed, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1The power itself won't be from the wind farm, they will just be paying someone else to create wind generate electricity in another state. Energy credits are a scam. I see it as similar to how rich people use to be able to pay the government directly to get out of military service, or hire someone to enter the military for them.
- Birdoftruth, on 11/13/2007, -3/+3not better than packers, and not better than colts. Give them MArvin Harrison, and Ugoh back and you are lose.
- tvwells, on 11/13/2007, -0/+0these credits are stupid copper mountain has ski resort has done this for years!!
