- cptcliche, on 11/14/2009, -0/+38Where's Calvin Johnson?
- drcrackback, on 11/13/2009, -1/+27Steven Jackson is wasting away precious years of crazy talent in St. Louis. He'll be 30 before we know it. Sad.
- PuddMaster, on 11/15/2009, -0/+21nnamdi asomugha? the dude is one of the top corners in the league but is stuck on a ***** raiders team with a ***** insane owner
- FrostyCow, on 11/15/2009, -0/+13The 49ers, Dolphins, and Jaguars aren't on the same level of bad as the Chiefs, Raiders, Rams, Lions, Titans... God are there that many terrible teams this year?
- ArrowheadAddict, on 11/13/2009, -1/+13I appreciate the creativity of No. 10, but the Dolphins aren't bad. Probably should have been Dwayne Bowe or Tommy Harris or something.
- iamdan1, on 11/14/2009, -0/+11He is by far the most talented player on the Lions, and is sadly rotting away. He could have numbers better than Larry Fitzgerald if he had a good team.
- billjimbob, on 11/15/2009, -0/+11I fully expected him to be #1. That he is not on this list at all makes it a joke.
- Yahn, on 11/15/2009, -0/+10Terrel Owens is a ***** douche...
- bwishey, on 11/15/2009, -0/+8Not one Redskin is good enough for this list? Sigh...
- cptcliche, on 11/14/2009, -0/+7Ain't that the truth? I'd say he's arguably the most talented RB in the NFL, behind Adrian Peterson
- woofers07, on 11/15/2009, -1/+8Inaccurate, Steven Jackson is easily #1.
- bugalou, on 11/15/2009, -0/+6The Dolphins are not bad. Their schedule is the hardest in the NFL this year! Pats twice, colts, saints, etc etc. If they lose to the Bucs tomorrow forget I said anything. :)
- drcrackback, on 11/15/2009, -2/+8i disagree. the author is commending players for there work so far THIS season. thats why you don't see calvin, he's been hurt all year, otherwise, of course he could top this list. he's a freak.
- direwolf5, on 11/15/2009, -0/+6Joshua Cribbs says this list is incomplete.
- TBBucs, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4The first guy I thought of after reading the title was Aqib Talib, but I did not expect him to actually be on the list. Go Bucs!
Oh, and Patrick Willis is an absolute beast. - trs1138, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4Say what you will about the Miami wildcat and the "Ronky Brilliams" duo, but I haven't really seen anything new with the NFL since Kordell "Slash" Stewart of the 1996/97 Steelers. I can only take so much of the West Coast offense and enjoy watching Miami games even when I have no vested interest in the outcome.
Sure, it's a gimmick and probably won't be a permanent fixture in any NFL team, but for the time being the two of them have practically made the QB position obsolete. It gives teams with an inability to find decent quarterbacks (ahem... Chicago...) a glimmer of hope as talented backs are almost a dime-a-dozen now. - hokie47, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4There are a lot of bad NFL teams this year.
- o1dord3r, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3Steven jackson is better the chris johnson and on a worse team then chris johnson. Only reason he has only 1 td is that the rams never get into the redzone and he has only had 6 redzone carries this year. Defenses have one person to worry about every week against the rams and the still cant do it, the man is amazing.
- modsuperstar, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3The 49ers are 4-5, 3-0 in their division and what I would wager is a reasonably easy schedule down the stretch, finishing off with Detroit then St Louis to end the season. I may be a homer here, but I think the Niners have what it takes to win the West given how shaky Arizona has looked at time. I wouldn't quite class them among the bad teams in the league. With the Niners on the list at 4-5 why wasn't say any Packers, Bears, Ravens or Jets making the list?
Why wasn't a guy like Josh Cribbs of the Browns on the list either? - Blucuzzin, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2Josh Cribbs...Cleveland Browns
- richirwin, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2My thoughts exactly.
- pcTw3aker, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2Not only that, but the Dolphins are 3-1 in their division, way better than the other 3 including the patriots. Whoever wrote this needs to define his idea of a bad team.
- tgmxd, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2What do you expect to happen when you trade for a promising young QB that everyone already knows has red zone turnover issues and give him the worst offensive line in the NFL, an offensive coordinator who couldn't cut it at the college level, and a group of small wide receivers that are all under 6ft. tall?
Oh, and here's a fun fact though. Guess what other QBs have thrown more more interceptions in their first 45 games than Jay Cutler.
Peyton Manning, Warren Moon, and Brett Favre. - pcTw3aker, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2It got them a division title. Which dolphins team were you watching?
- billybobjoe786, on 11/15/2009, -1/+3This name may not be known as much as others, but why isn't Nnmadi Asomugha on the list? He's a top 2 CB stuck with the Oakland Raiders.
- Jackson0909, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2That stupid Wildcat almost got them a win versus the Colts. They held the ball for 45 minutes versus the Colts 15.
- tgmxd, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2Too bad Tommie Harris isn't any good anymore...his knees are so bad.
- thebillgonadz, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Jairus Byrd is my hero. He's a glimmer of hope in a team who has continued to disappoint me relentlessly.
- cyberclown, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Like so many teams the 49'ers are a good QB away from being a viable playoff team. Speaking of QB's I wonder how the Bears like the trade they made for Cutler now.
- hawksfan03, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1i agree with that. teams have to stop sjax to win the game and they still can't do it. There are zero other weapons on that offense and not much on defense either.. Vernon Davis has Frank Gore, MJD has Garrard and Torry Holt, Chris Johnson doesn't have much help on offense but at least Tennessee has a defense.
- mmx2000, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1As a Chicago fan, Tommie Harris sucks and needs to GTFO. He got his contract and stopped caring.
- IIMsmartII, on 11/15/2009, -2/+3No Kevin Smith?
- toleshei, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1That was my first thought too!
- RyGiL, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Someone apparently based all their opinions on W-L records of teams. Although I agree that the Titans were THE worst team in the NFL earlier in the season, the last 2 games they've proven their worth and actually look like a pretty good team. They're by no means gonna win the Superbowl or even make it to the playoffs, but they deserve a little better credit than be listed farther down the list than the Rams or Bills.
DISCLAIMER: I renege this comment if Titans lose to the Bills tomorrow. If that happens, I fully agree that the Titans are "one of the worst teams in a league." - dannyrsox, 14 minutes ago, -0/+1Steven Jackson is maybe the most underrated player in football. I constantly forget how good he is until I see highlights of him.
- wcstryfe10, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1It hurts for me to say it but, Asomugha, Nnamdi should be in the list
- ironrex, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1The article is about Good players on bad teams, not bad players on bad teams.
- pcTw3aker, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1You must be Jets fan. That's the only explanation for your bitterness.
- bnk1310, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1No NFL player is good by himself. Players only look good, if the people around them are better than YOU THINK they are.
How many times do we have to see a super stud switch teams only to turn into a flunky, befoire we realize that? Anyone remember Randy Moss in Oakland? How about TO in Buffalo? Edgerrin James in Arizona?
How about admitting that teams that make these players great have 10 other players on the field who GET NO LOVE....... - RobbieF, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1My list:
-The entire O line of the Washington Redskins
:) - charbo187, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1you forgot the Browns
- Chad0989, on 11/15/2009, -0/+0Byrd's the word. Go Bills!
- Jackson0909, on 11/15/2009, -1/+1
Darren McFadden will be next. - ttg103, on 11/15/2009, -0/+0every team has some good players. Andre Johnson has stayed with the Texans for many years, finally Texans are getting better. You got to have patience wait for your GM get every piece together, as long as you have faith in your team. and comparing to Barry Sanders, these guys have nothing to complain...
- J3553, on 11/15/2009, -2/+2i'd add chris cooley, santana moss, and expecially london fletcher. he NEVER gets the respect he deserves.
- sangjmoon, on 11/15/2009, -2/+2The Titans probably have rounded a corner with the change of QB to Vince Young among other things, but with a 0-6 start, it is almost certainly too late to make the playoffs. But who knows? They should beat the Bills this weekend and then comes the three game crucible against the Texans, Cardinals and Colts which will determine if their reversal is the real thing or if they need another QB pick next year to build the future on. If the Titans end up 6-6 at the end of that stretch, Chris Johnson can be taken off this ignominious list.
- blasteker, on 11/15/2009, -1/+0Yeah a division title that got them no where since that kind of offense won't take you through the playoffs
- blasteker, on 11/15/2009, -5/+0haha I laugh at the dolphins stupid wild cat scheme. I also hate it because all these teams are trying to adopt it and it just doesn't work. It worked for Miami ONE year and got them no where.
- billybobjoe786, on 11/15/2009, -6/+1This name may not be known as much as others, but why isn't Nnmadi Asomugha on the list? He's a top 2 CB stuck with the Oakland Raiders.
