NFL Beat Writers' Mock Draft

sportsillustrated.cnn.com — Since we couldn't convince the GMs of all 29 teams with first-round draft picks to carve out some time for us today, we opted for the next best thing.For five hours Thursday afternoon, SI.com conducted a mock draft with the people whose job it is to follow the NFL team in their city 365 days a year. The results are below.

What the hell is (this)?!?!?! The level of stupidity makes it seem like you are joking, but I just can't tell. Secondly, I am sick and tired of these annoying comments about the algorithm. Whatever it is, why does it matter? Who cares how many diggs the story gets before it reaches the front page? Maybe it's just me, but complaining about the number of diggs makes no sense.

gone are the days of sports role models (they werent necessary GOOD people but they knew how to maintain a professional image - magic, jordan, shaq and tiger are pretty much the last of them).

hey david stern - wanna know why your ratings are down? kids wanted to be like MIKE, not a 17 year old lebron james kid. institute age/degree requirements in the nba already!!!!!

I think more teams will be trading down this year than usual, except they won't get a decent deal since no one wants to pay top draft pick money. I'll give props to the Tuna on Long...his salary was down from last year's draft, reflecting both the stupidity of overpaying JaMarcus AND the fact that none of these scrubs this year deserve big money.

For as much as it torqued me that the Pats are getting a top 10 pick, it's worthless this year. Still, if they get the Ghost-man...it's fuct. That will be lame.
