- lukedamonkey, on 08/21/2008, -4/+98And then everyone called Bryan a little snitch and he was an outcast.
- h4mx0r, on 08/21/2008, -0/+45"I'm calling the school!" she said.
"You can't!" Bryan insisted. "I'll be screwed!"
"Don't worry," his mother assured him. "Nobody will know it's you."
Unless they read this article. - inactive, on 08/21/2008, -12/+52Go mom! Coaches need to be on the lookout for this stuff. It's everywhere.
- lineweight, on 08/21/2008, -1/+40Steriods : Proof that your mom has bigger balls than you.
- MurMurs, on 08/21/2008, -0/+22Don't try so hard.
- tas08, on 08/21/2008, -1/+23I think the problem is a lot of them would rather not look for it if it's helping them win. See no evil...
- h4mx0r, on 08/21/2008, -0/+20"Oh. That's okay. I just thought you were on steroids you know?"
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -11/+30great story about a Mom taking a stand to do the right thing in the face of being an outcast to everyone around her. Sadly I know first hand that steroids are a major problem in High Schools around me where High School Football and College Football are king. I even get the feeling that steroids are a bigger problem in high schools than in big time college programs. Something needs to be done about it and I applaud this mom for trying.
- zomgwaffles, on 08/21/2008, -0/+18Welcome to Digg, Go f*ck yourself
- johnomaz, on 08/21/2008, -6/+24Kids are freaking stupid. Seriously, with all the controversy about steroids on the news, they know not to use them. Not only that, but where are they getting them. They must be going to some shady person to get them, so they know its illegal.
- mlvassallo, on 08/21/2008, -1/+18Or worse, he gets a beating in the locker room. High School sports can be just a vicious and brutal as any adult organization.
- mgalovic, on 08/21/2008, -0/+17Testicular atrophy or gynecomatsia (bitch *****) really only occurs with the misuse of steroids. if you cycle properly with LH stimulators like tribulus terrestris it shouldn't happen. I never used steroids, but I did use andro for about a year in high school and I find it interesting that for all the complaining digg members do about marijuana misinformation, everybody is jumping all over steroids, when the proper use is actually much safer than lets say.... cigarettes or alcohol. Read a book on endocrinology, it all works on feedback loops. If you use roids for months on end with no breaks, of course your nuts are gonna say "screw making testosterone, somebody is doing the job for us" and bye bye go your balls
- anenokoji, on 08/21/2008, -3/+19Steroids are not dangerous. There is use and abuse. But, 21 should be the minimum age for AAS, 25 being even better.
When you're younger than this your testosterone is really high so putting on muscle is merely proper diet and training. Plus you can screw with your growth plates using steroids at a young age. And also at a young age teens never know the risks or how to properly use. - jmkiii, on 08/21/2008, -0/+16Why do you want friends?I have been using digg for 3 yrs and I can't figure out why I would want friends.
- VigRoco, on 08/21/2008, -0/+16That is exactly why we should put a priority on music and fine arts in our schools.
- Iztikeit, on 08/21/2008, -1/+16The coaches at my hometown condoned its use. And they only drug tested those who were clearly not on them.
Anything to win, right? - gldfshnpcklejar, on 08/21/2008, -5/+19But little did the other boys on the team know, Bryan was gay and enjoyed eating the cockmeat sandwiches.
- solboldi, on 08/21/2008, -5/+19Good job Mom...of course all the meat-heads try to bully the son.
- TheThirdLevel, on 08/21/2008, -8/+21If you guys want to take steroids, go ahead, but don't complain when chicks diss the size of your balls.
- TheThirdLevel, on 08/21/2008, -1/+14No. Go play in a microwave.
*add genric stfu noob Digg comment* - adougherty, on 08/21/2008, -2/+14I can so see Mrs Broflofski from South Park. Steroids are bad and all, but it seems like this mother took a problem with her kid, and essentially disregarded him while she made a huge public ordeal out of it.
There was also a brief mention in the article that she's divorced from the kids father, and the father also encouraged the use of Steroids, as well as pressure on the kid to be like his All-Star father. It really sounds to be like there is more going on than meets the eye. Obviously something was wrong in the home situation, for this kid to do something he knew was dangerous and illegal, and for his mother to quickly accept the lame excuse of "everyone else is doing it" then seek public attention, despite concerns for her son's well being. - alihaq717, on 08/21/2008, -0/+12and your name is souljaboystfu? what?
- solboldi, on 08/21/2008, -0/+11Lol...you people see racism everywhere..even when it is not there. Paranoid a little?
- zoom1928, on 08/21/2008, -0/+10There are substances like HCG that help with that.
And, when have you ever heard of a chick that was concerned about the size of someone's testicles? - SugarCoatedSalt, on 08/21/2008, -1/+10this ain't the hood.
- shutaro, on 08/21/2008, -0/+9They should make steroids for balls... You know, steroids that give you huge balls instead of tiny ones.
- BrandonJM, on 08/21/2008, -0/+9Dugg for the title because I got an awesome visual of some soccer mom swallowing a ton of steroids to make a point to her idiot son.
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8Only if you saw the Nancy Drew movie with anyone other than your kid sister
- anenokoji, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8OH, I forgot to add, that proper training and diet are required when using steroids as well. They don't fix bad dieting or lazy work outs.
- TheThirdLevel, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8Where do you see racist comments?
- PabloMac, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8Your twist on the story reads like it was written directly from memory.
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8you again. you're about to get banned. & you're not crying enough. cry more then try again.
- bobsander87, on 08/21/2008, -2/+10100% agree. I hate the bad stigma surrounding them. They are powerful drugs, but they aren't going to kill you if you use them responsibly.
- eryximachus, on 08/21/2008, -1/+9not all steroids cause testicular atrophy, and even if it happens, your testicles return to normal when you stop taking them.
- jho406, on 08/21/2008, -2/+10"Her political activism went no further than a stint on the board of the elementary PTA, and some campaign work for Colleyville's mayor and George W. Bush." ---- more dangerous than doping
- Albear89, on 08/21/2008, -2/+10Now give me your purse, bitch!
- purkel, on 08/21/2008, -1/+9regardless of the people trying to argue that steroids are safe...
they are illegal in sports and any athletes caught using them should be banned from the sport. - johnomaz, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8touche
- RavagesOfTime, on 08/21/2008, -2/+9Hey, a mom actually being a parent. A dying breed in this day and age.
- ckup619, on 08/21/2008, -0/+7i think you were looking for myspace... here, let me help you
http://www.myspace.com - Nateon, on 08/21/2008, -3/+10Reminds me of the plot of the Nancy Drew movie. Damn, does that make me gay?
- bobsander87, on 08/21/2008, -0/+7Exactly. You can't get absolutely hyuuuuge just by sticking a dart in your thigh twice a week... It takes dedication in the kitchen and the gym on top of that.
- FrankTheTank17, on 08/21/2008, -2/+9It's my body, it's my body, I'll do what I want
- lowfalls, on 08/21/2008, -17/+24Waaaaaah, my skinny son had to take steroids to be good at Football waaaaah.
- eryximachus, on 08/21/2008, -1/+8They actually aren't that powerful. Doctors didn't even agree they worked until the 1970s. For most of the 20th century, it was commonly accepted fact steroids were a great example of the placebo effect.
They are also safer than most other drugs. There are dangers, but they pertain more to elevated risk of cancer and heart disease. Alcohol and tobacco are more dangerous in this regard. - dafragsta, on 08/21/2008, -3/+9It's always been the case. I knew guys in high school who were definitely on roids. (Our football team wasn't even that good either.) They didn't all get the rage, but there really is nothing good about what that stuff does to you and there shouldn't be any pressure to dope in order to stay competitive in high school sports.
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6you had me at chicks checking out my balls... so where does a digger like me get a hold of steroids?
- SixOrSoPapers, on 08/21/2008, -1/+7... or mathematics, or science, or engineering. How about anything other than sports?
- ryansimbalist, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6Especially when their on steroids.
