- reiggin, on 10/10/2007, -8/+52I declare fake.

- koonchu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28Text at the bottom has been digitally added. Not an authentic, original poster.
- phunlee, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Was this done in MSPaint?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21I can only wonder the fate of this particular dog. If it was strong enough to survive Katrina...

[Origin: 1495–1505; < L īrōnīa < Gk eirōneía dissimulation, sarcasm, understatement, equiv. to eírōn a dissembler + -eia -y3] - merreborn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12And the top of the "poster" is just the top of the banner from their website:
http://www.vbspca.com/front_topbar.jpg
Which explains why the right side is cropped so close; they had to trim off that "Charity navigator" bit. Of course, it wouldn't have been that much harder just to cover it up with more orange. And of course, the blatantly aliased font at the bottom is a dead giveaway too.
Not a particularly cleverly executed fake. - mustache, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Can people not grasp the way digg works?
Digg 101:
This article is from the Sports section, the Sports section is far less popular than, say the Tech section. Therefore there are fewer diggers digging around in that particular section, and they receive far less diggs. Since that is the case, it takes far less diggs for an article to reach the front page. This is done to ensure that all sections are represented equally. The reason for this is simple. If it didn't work like that, Digg's front page would be all tech stories, because of course, the nerds, of course are the majority here.
Get it? Ok, class dismissed. - lalusr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12it's not real
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13OBVIOUSLY it's a fake. Do you kids fail to understand the ironic intent of the chap who added the text at the bottom of the image?
- CCoe, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Stop.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8http://duggmirror.com/football/Mike_Vick_Virginia_Beach_SPCA_MUST_SEE_POSTER_Pic/27766801ez4.gif
- shruggedatlas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9The text at the bottom looks suspiciously fake.
- IdleWanderlust, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8What exactly has Vic gotten? Unless some news has come out that I am unaware of he hasn't even been arrested. Some punishment. Oh and an arraignment isn't arrest.
- daeken, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I'm calling *****. The font at the bottom and complete lack of punctuation screams photoshop.
- 0x00, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8More like MS Paint. ;)
- Gunsotsu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Buried as inaccurate. Take two seconds to research and you'll find that Vick didn't rescue any puppies from New Orleans.
- smurf22, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7fake as hell,
- Fungo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5They were found just recently buried in Vick's backyard.
- kiiwii, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Thanks, I didn't get it until I read your comment.
- Zarox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If you think that is actually real, you believe too much. The total design was horrible, and the text wasn't professional at all.
- Lax32, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Its pshopped but its stupid anyways.
Even if Vick did fight dogs (yeah, Im one of those crazy "innocent until proven guilty" guys), he still ran a legit pit bull breeding service. They said that all of the live dogs (like 80ish?) that they recovered were well cared for and showed no signs of fighting. Meaning that he probably wouldnt have fought the pit bulls had he actually gotten them. - pcdescha, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4http://duggmirror.com/football/Mike_Vick_Virginia_Beach_SPCA_MUST_SEE_POSTER_Pic/27766801ez4.gif
- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5also, he apologized for non-existent comment spam...
- rinkjustice, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6That's so bloody sad. Mike Vick is a heartless animal killer and an obvious danger to society who doesn't deserve freedom. Lock him up and throw away the key.
- hematochezia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Can we get some Digg friendly hosting in the future folks? Thanks.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I am flattened by the ironing.
