- LostFaction, on 03/24/2009, -0/+17The only rules that bother me there is the ones pertaining to kickoff. The wedge as stated has been in the game from the start and I don't really see how they can throw a penalty on a team if more than two players happen to be running down the field shoulder to shoulder blocking, i mean this happens on screen plays and hopefully interceptions anyways.
Also there have been changes to onside kick rules every year and i still miss seeing an entire team bunched on one side of the kicker going after the ball, it just makes for a more exciting play. - savethehobos, on 03/25/2009, -1/+12Did they replace the general tackle rule with 2 hand touch yet?
- AWBoy666, on 03/25/2009, -4/+12Pussies.
- nahsrocketeer75, on 03/24/2009, -1/+8They all sound like common-sense changes to me. I'm sure I'll enjoy the game just as much with fewer concussions.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -2/+8I don't like The Brady rule. QBs need to be mobile and conscious of the D line while searching for open receivers. That's what made watching Brett Favre so fun. I know the owners want to protect their investments, but it's going to lead to QBs throwing ridiculously long passes because they're less concerned about the pass rush.
Like Mike Golic said on the radio: "Why don't they just put some flags around the QBs waist?" - sodaman300, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4Allowed?
- asgardshill, on 03/25/2009, -5/+9Hell with it. Just dress all the players in pink tutus, make Midol the official medication of the NFL, and have high tea instead of halftime.
- jsmith89, on 03/25/2009, -2/+4They didn't ban players going fishing, I feel like that was the leading cause of death for players in the NFL this year. Quit being pussies and play some damn football.
- pkon, on 03/25/2009, -0/+2Well as sports become so much more about money than the actual "sport", rules like these will happen. Everybody is trying to protect their investments as much as possible. Even in hockey now they are really trying to tone down the fighting. I mean for the actual overall well-being of each individual it is key to make a game safer, but for entertainment purposes it will start to change in a whole different game over time.
- gilbert42989, on 03/25/2009, -0/+2i think you are referring to the block that ward threw on a rookie lb from the bengals. it sure was a beauty
- nickem, on 03/25/2009, -0/+1I've got a proposal. ALL players must wear shackles which give them say 18 inches per step. This will slow down everyone and they will fall over each other before they can get hurt. Then if they find it too difficult to play, they can replace tackling with a cute tear away ribbon. Maybe 75 players on the field at one time would be helpful.
Safety before profits - wouldn't want the overpaid players to get hurted. - Ohashi58, on 03/26/2009, -0/+0I really don't like these new rule changes. Not that iI don't want the players to be protected it just seems that these rules give an unfair advantage to the offense. I do find, though, the idea of extending the regular season exciting as fan of the game, but I don't know if players are on board for it.

- SpanishMongoose, on 03/25/2009, -2/+1I don't like kickoff and defenders going after QB's proposals. The defenders going after QB's is totally unfair, it makes it way easier for offense linemen to protect the QB. All a offense lineman has to due is knock down his opponent (without committing a foul of there own) knowing he can't tackle the QB until the defense lineman gets back up. By the time the D lineman gets up, the play is usually already over.
- urbanarson, on 03/25/2009, -3/+2Welcome to the age where team sports are no longer about defensive prowess but how many points you can score. The defense is out matched enough as it is, now you're going to give the offense the middle of the field free and clear?
2008-2009 was the first football season I ever missed, and with these new rules I see no reason to tune in for 2009-2010.
Boo. - superman1023, on 03/25/2009, -3/+2So let me get this straight, because Psycho Ward decides to trow a bloc that is thrown on almost every special teams play, or mostly by the the defense the NFL sees fit to make it illegal. The Ravens are pussies for crying about a rookie LB not knowing who the ***** Heinz Ward is...
- trapper2530, on 03/24/2009, -9/+4so pretty much there is no need for helmets anymore if they are not aloud to hit anyone in the helmet with any part of the body

A few weeks ago when I got benched, I didn't know what to do. A friend's friend told me about ACS. I visited their site. http://jobsearch.naukri.com/mynaukri/mn_newsmartse ...
