- sychodan, on 09/14/2009, -1/+23I dont think the position of team captian means you have to be the best. i think its because brett has good leadership skills and is the most experienced. hes been there done that
- Pramma, on 09/14/2009, -8/+22I think the hating needs to stop.
Yes Brett Farve was a Packers legend.
He came back because he loves the game.
The market and the best minds at the NFL decided he still has considerable value as an asset to a team.
He TURNED DOWN 20 MILLION DOLLARS TO DO NOTHING BUT COUNT HIS MONEY FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE!
I think if he wants to come back, we can all wish everyone the best, and just hope for some really good football this season. - SkittlesUSA, on 09/14/2009, -8/+21Or he just loves the game, doesn't feel ready to retire, and has thousands of fans who want him to keep playing.
- navidb, on 09/14/2009, -7/+18Captain I-N-T.
- sobe4u8k, on 09/14/2009, -0/+10Real, Comfortable, Jeans.
- inactive, on 09/14/2009, -3/+11Captain hand it to AP
- krische, on 09/14/2009, -3/+11Well we know he isn't captain for his decision making abilities.
- stopbrorape, on 09/14/2009, -0/+7You make him sound like Scarface or something.
- wonko33, on 09/14/2009, -0/+4heads...tails... no wait heads, that's it heads, mmmm no, tails I'm sure now.
- Jackson0909, on 09/14/2009, -1/+5I don't think I've ever played backyard football with an offensive and defensive line, let alone wearing blue jeans.
- Iwantawii, on 09/14/2009, -0/+4Many players have continued to play their game after their glory years with a particular team. Brett can still add great experience and flavor to a game. Do you think the Browns' defensive backfield weren't nervous tonight?
The dude's almost 40 and he plays the same game as guys out of college who are 22-23. Brett Favre is an awesome player and great role model. There's not enough good people in the news today. He's a die hard who is fighting with whatever bit he has left. I'll take any bit of inspiration wherever I can get it TYVM. - SkittlesUSA, on 09/14/2009, -0/+3Touché
- GoatRoper, on 09/14/2009, -8/+11Captain Drama Queen
- DLun203, on 09/14/2009, -1/+3Brett's a good leader and all. But let's be serious, it took Charlie Conway longer for Coach Orion to give him the big "C"
- austroLogi, on 09/14/2009, -6/+8Brett Favre is awesome great story, great player, and should have a place in the NFL as long as he wants.
- JohnnyDIGGme, on 09/14/2009, -1/+3He's not the captain of a rival team, he's caption of HIS team.
- guyincognitoo, on 09/14/2009, -1/+3You mean someone like, say.. Joe Montana?
- Gndoab, on 09/14/2009, -2/+3but how can he be captain if he is retired!?
- sobe4u8k, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1well sir, you're missing out.
- inactive, on 09/14/2009, -1/+2He should be the other teams captain
- Kossic, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1and yet T. Jackson could even find the gear shift for the Ferrari. Go Vikes Go!
- kolop1, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1It's all fun and games until he starts throwing interceptions. Just ask the Jets.
- TNicholson, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1After his performance in that Sears commercial I'd give him two captain's spots.
- krische, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1Ah yes, I'm such a media sheep. Relax, it was just a joke.
- jasonresno, on 09/14/2009, -1/+1i bet he doesn't doubt his ability to hand off to a.p.
- blackhawk465, on 09/14/2009, -0/+0Bingo.
- Jackson0909, on 09/14/2009, -1/+1The market?
- vondrak, on 09/14/2009, -9/+9He had the chance to continue playing in Green Bay but he jerked us around. He could have continued to play in NY but he didn't. His return is all about "sticking it to Ted Thompson"(and consequently the GB fans).
- Louisd11, on 09/14/2009, -1/+1When he was on green bay for 16 seasons do you watch American football?
- SpazAttack5000, on 09/14/2009, -1/+1"What the hell is Brett Favre doing here?"
- ggrubins, on 09/14/2009, -1/+0A.P. is a stud. brett just got the keys to the Ferrari. who would complain about a job that allowed 80% of the work to be done by someone else and a fat paycheck? if i'm brett i'm loving it. winning always feels good.
- Kbriggs, on 09/14/2009, -2/+1You people will believe anything you read from the media won't you. How do you know it hasn't been his intentions to play for the Vikings since he left the Pack? Playing for the Jets was just necessary so he could be a free agent.
- JackGrinnan, on 09/14/2009, -5/+2*yawn*
- Louisd11, on 09/14/2009, -7/+1This is ridiculous. How can they make him a captain for a rival team especially in the first month.
- exec0extreme, on 09/14/2009, -20/+11Brett Farve is such a joke. He could have went down in Football History as being a Packers legend. Instead he will go down as the quarterback couldn't satisfy his need for fame and fortune
- Pramma, on 09/14/2009, -17/+3I think the hating needs to stop.
