- chicagojack, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10Blockbuster Deal!!!
- inactive, on 11/07/2008, -0/+8My team's stupidity (that would be the Raiders) keeps on showing. How the Raiders ever thought that Hall was worth a 7 year, $72-million contract in the first place is just mind-boggling. I won't get into Javon Walker, Robert Gallery or Jamarcus Russell. Three other high-paid, low-talent players.
- Sh0rtstak, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6Great deal for the Redskins. Hope he can fit in with their current D.
- AceAMasta, on 11/07/2008, -0/+4Al Davis needs to retire already. Until he does, this team is going to continue to be horrible :(
- ATLiens, on 11/08/2008, -1/+4Haha, good luck with that guy. He'll give up big plays all game. He's did it consistently in Oakland this year against some pretty mediocre wide recievers.
- donkeyshow, on 11/07/2008, -0/+3I hope he gets into another slapfight, the last one was high comedy.
- ryansmith18, on 11/07/2008, -0/+3Maybe I'm just not thinking straight, but you're saying they got a steal of a deal by over paying him?
slap me if I'm just missing something here. - inactive, on 11/07/2008, -2/+4I'll give him 2 games before he starts getting burned by mediocre or rookie wideouts and then starts drawing back to back pass interference / personal foul penalties trying to cover them. Considering how much of a liability he is to, I don't know, a team trying to win a game, this deal is a bit of a steal for the 'Skins (especially if the check was signed by Brock Middlebrook and not Dan Snyder). I think they overpaid but time will tell.
- daede, on 11/07/2008, -1/+3It's still to early to judge Jamarcus. The o-line is porous, and he's got no one to throw to. Give the guy some time and some support and then we can call him overrated.
- ahoy, on 11/07/2008, -2/+4The Redskins got him for a good price... that's what you get when you throw a fit about being in a ***** team like Atlanta, going to a ***** team in Oakland, and then not producing. I still think he's pretty ***** good, especially for that price.
and the redskins are ***** good this year - inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+13x what he's worth? You're being incredibly generous there.
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1Greg Blache will develop a great scheme to get deangelo involved and he will be a shut down corner. I'm also not worried about him causing any problems hes gona love being on the skins and we have so many stars already that he'll feel right at home. Very excited about this one! go skins
- diskoh, on 11/07/2008, -3/+3Deangelo Hall is probably the most overrated player in the NFL. When he went to Oakland and played across from a good corner in Nnamdi Asomugha, he was exposed as an absolutely dreadful player because everyone was throwing at him (No QB has thrown at Nnambi more than twice in one game). In ATL he had the benefit of a bad secondary with other weaknesses besides him, so people didn't throw at him much. I think In D.C. with Smoot and Springs and Landry he will continue to be exposed.
As a Panthers fan I have to say I'm disappointed he won't be on the Raiders when they play this weekend. Hall usually gives up 50+ yards of penalties by himself because Steve Smith gets in his head. - inactive, on 11/07/2008, -0/+0As a Raiders fan, I have to say you shouldn't be disappointed. You're still playing against one hell of a pathetic team this weekend.
- elo91, on 11/08/2008, -1/+17 years for 72 million dollars. thats 112 games, and al davis releases him after 8 of them. what a pathetic joke of an organization. not just for the fact that they paid an overrated player 3x what he's worth, but then they kept him so briefly that they pay him a 7 year signing bonus for 8 games. considering the state of the economy, al davis should be thrown in jail. that might help the raiders to be honest.
- jba68, on 11/07/2008, -1/+1Mbwhahaha.... I'm just glad Dan got em before Jerry could
- kekemortson, on 11/08/2008, -1/+1Amen.....Atlanta got the best of that deal with the Raiders!
