- tbone8978, on 12/03/2008, -0/+13dugg for his own stupidity.
- Chordonblue, on 12/03/2008, -0/+9I'm sorry, but this has to be said... What the hell kind of name is Plaxico? A dude's name or a dental hygiene product?
- Kenji32, on 12/03/2008, -0/+8Great Player.
Poor Shooter. - cheezemunkey45, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4oh and learn how to handle a gun
- mogdor, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4People think they're so creative making up these stupid names for their kids. As you can see, Plaxico inherited his parents' stupidity.
- kkxxyy, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2Great receiver.
Poor marksman. - cheezemunkey45, on 12/03/2008, -1/+3thats it?
- trogdor282, on 12/03/2008, -1/+3Bringing a concealed handgun into a nightclub should be a lifetime ban from the NFL. Kids watch this stuff!!
- jaxontyler, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2Great wide out.
Poor gang banger. - imperfectepoch, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2He doesn't look like he's taking it too well in the pic.
- Chordonblue, on 12/03/2008, -1/+3From a funny as hell article from The Onion:
Popular Black Boy Names: Antwan, Dacron, Newport, LaPrell
Popular Black Girl Names: Shawanda, Tomiqua, Propecia, Sinutab - coldwind777, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2I don't know, I think Plaxico has been enough of a distraction to the rest of the Giants' locker room that this move is justified.
- thegrizz51, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2Nice that being a professional athlete gets you out of everything. If I worked for minimum wage at Burger King and accidentally shot myself in the leg, I'm reasonably sure that I would be fired. But if I make millions of dollars because I can play a game, I'm somehow exempt from the normal punishment!!
I think the NFL (and all other sports organizations) should include a "no crime" clause in all of their contracts. That would mean even if he doesn't go to prison, he still loses his job. Instead, we are letting these douchebags serve as role models. WTF?!?! - ProKid, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2I don't think so, its very well known that if your caught with a gun in NY its a mandatory 3.5 years in prison. He ain't gettin out of anything.
- MixMastaKooz, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2My first reaction was: When does the four game suspension start: before or after he recovers? It's rather convenient if he uses that 4 game suspension to recover. However, it seems that they're also putting him on the reserve non-football injury list, and he won't be able to play in the playoffs in four weeks. If it takes four weeks to recover as the doctor noted, he could have played in the playoffs, but the Giants, I think correctly, shot themselves in the foot. (Someone had to say it).
- ac12, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2Good, what a dumbass.
- doobiebrother, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1I don't think I could walk if I shot myself in the leg
- RNOblivion, on 12/03/2008, -1/+2You know what I meant.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1What about Minnesota losing two pro-bowl DTs that have given them a first ranked run defence in 2006 and 2007 and currently the 2nd ranked rush defence this year. One of them has 8 sacks and on Sunday night they stopped the bears 3 times on the goal line and that led to a touchdown and a division lead.
- coldwind777, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1how on Earth did you arrive at that conclusion?
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1He'll get off light, probably probation + $$$ + community service. Unless they choose to make an example out of him, first-time offenders in New York can get out of jail time fairly easily.
- KublaiKhan, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Strangely enough, though, the Giants have proven several times that the loss of the Big Player often helps them more than it hurts. Tiki's and Strahan's retirements were heralded as great injuries to the Giants - but Jacobs is a man-beast, and the defense is stronger than ever even without Strahan. Shockey sitting out the playoffs surely should've cost the Giants their entire post-season last year - but Boss came up big when he needed to, and the machine ran better without Shockey's distractions. A good chunk of the terrific defense was sold away or badly injured before this season started - but clearly to no significant detrimental effect. And now the Giants have been winning without Plax, talented as he is. There's just no explaining it.
- concernedcit, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Oh, poor Plax. Has everything in the world but is on a relentless mission to ***** it all up. ***** Plaxico! I hope his leg hurts a lot. I think it's hilarious when a guy who cares only about himself (obviously not his team - many examples of that) shoots himself potentially ending his career. For what? To protect himself at a fancy club in dangerous ... Manhattan? Come on, do not pity this guy.
- concernedcit, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1I hope they're smart because they won't be landing NFL contracts. Charlie Weis rules! I hope the fools (geniuses?) at Notre Dame keep him forever. That disgusting fat piece of crap is sooo overated. I love watching ND lose to teams like Syracuse!
- ajwinder, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1He doesn't have a license, ergo, HE shouldn't have been carrying a gun.
- RNOblivion, on 12/03/2008, -2/+2Sucks for him. That doesn't mean he didn't deserve it. He shouldn't have been carrying a gun on him.
- lonehunter01, on 12/03/2008, -1/+1He really shot himself in the foot when he shot himself in the thigh.
- maqikelefant, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0Everyone point and laugh at Plaxico, AKA Pacman Jr!
- Maksx, on 12/03/2008, -1/+1Thats why he's not playing basketball like the rest of his folk...who said that?
- TheTCal, on 12/25/2008, -0/+0HEY! A man has the right to defend himself…even against his own leg!
- spoofer56, on 12/03/2008, -3/+2Oh shoot!
- soupdawg30, on 12/03/2008, -3/+2He shouldn't have been carrying a gun without a license.
- callinthelaw69, on 12/03/2008, -4/+1Overreaction on all fronts.
- mindpuzzle, on 12/03/2008, -9/+1The only smart football players come from Norte Dame.
