- awtripp, on 04/01/2009, -3/+26I'd go to drastic measures not to play for the Browns next year, too!
- nahsrocketeer75, on 04/01/2009, -0/+19Why don't more of these multi-millionaires get themselves drivers when they're going out?
- scheibs14, on 04/02/2009, -4/+15What an absolute moron. He saw the guy in the street (he flashed his lights at him) while being wasted at 7 in the morning, plus he was speeding. No sympathy for this guy, have fun in jail.
- FirstCuts, on 04/01/2009, -0/+11He is in deep trouble on this one if all the reports leading up to now are to be believed.
- andrewlotta, on 04/02/2009, -3/+14He deserves to go to prison for life.
Driving drunk at 7AM in a Bentley? Just imagine losing a family member this way. Getting off of work this early in the morning and being killed walking to a bus stop. He was 59 years old, probably close to retiring. - hawksfan03, on 04/02/2009, -0/+10call a ***** cab Donte, I guess just because you are rich doesn't mean you have common sense.
- Rudymoman, on 04/01/2009, -2/+11Michael Vick will play again before Donte.
- Wreckage, on 04/01/2009, -2/+10It would be nice to see the NFL pull together and help out the family of the guy that got killed.
- acknotSW, on 04/02/2009, -1/+9People should have the common sense to get out of the way of greatness. Didn't the guy he hit realize that the driver can catch a football and doesn't have time to be concerned with the little things in life like, not driving drunk or people crossing the street?
***** this guy, I hope he gets time, but I doubt it. - jetblackz4, on 04/02/2009, -0/+7He should be permanently banned form the NFL. What more does a player have to do?
- breakintheweb, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6I doubt he servers much time. Remember what happened with Leonard Little?
http://www.nndb.com/people/032/000045894/ - alexwm20, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4Why would someone work so hard to become a professional athlete just to throw it all away and kill some innocent person.
- Numbski, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4Let's be clear about something though. Little screwed up - I'm not about to stand up for him. To his credit, he has shown a level of somberness and remorse that at least gives me some peace on the subject, and he *has* gone out of his way to make amends. That doesn't correct the fact that if someone didn't have his bankroll they'd likely do jail time. I would like to think that he has been able to make good come of his mistake. That doesn't bring back a human life, but there's no undoing the mistake either.
Which is more productive, slamming him behind bars, or allowing him to use his resources to do good for others? If his attitude was heartless and the loss of life made no impact on him, sure, throw him behind bars.
Jail isn't always the right answer. I might have different feelings about it if it were my loved one....
Oh wait - I lost my mother AND grandmother in a drunk driving crash when I was 7 years old. The man showed no remorse. Off to jail with him. Didn't bring my mother back, didn't do anything to improve society other than get him off the streets. - Hetman, on 04/02/2009, -1/+5What is the average crime rate for NFL players. It seems to be out of control. It might just appear that way because they are famous. But it does not seem nearly as bad as other sports. "Except for the whole steriod issuie in baseball, which is against the law, but they still do not seem to be involved in as much crime as NFL players."
- jason210, on 04/02/2009, -0/+3the guy in the street was crossing a 6 lane highway not at a light or crosswalk.
- sooner82, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4leonard little begs to differ
- alexkball, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4Because driving is fun. Driving really expensive cars is even more so.
- xevidentx, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4wow, what a scumbag. i used to like him when he played for the eagles too. he should never be in the nfl again.
- firewall1, on 04/02/2009, -0/+3$35 million on the new contract, but won't splurge on a $20 cab?
Oh well, he had more of a chance than most people. Maybe in 10 years after prison and losing all his money on the civil trial, he'll remember that DUI is now worse than rape.
I'll bet if he were DEAD sober, this accident may have happened. But, I'll bet that he was also on his cell phone while driving...drunk and on a cell phone.
What a waste of a person. - DankBuddz, on 04/02/2009, -0/+3As much as I liked him when he played for the Pats, I couldn't agree with you more.
F that guy. - KyleEatsCrayons, on 04/02/2009, -0/+3nice.. yes. but it wasnt the NFL who hit the person. they shouldn't feel any kind of obligation to do that.
- alexkball, on 04/02/2009, -0/+3Yeah thanks I was making a humor joke.
- DankBuddz, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4Might as well execute the majority of the US population then.
- Jpatano, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2well considering that he's facing a possible 15 years in prison, i don't think they even need to worry about it. By the time he gets out of prison he will most likely be too old for any team to realistically want him.
- NinjaBoy, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2I wish i was super rich or a cop. It sounds like fun ignoring all laws and killing people.
- cadmiumpaint, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2i just hope he gets treated like a normal citizen and goes to jail for a long time like he deserves. If he gets some B.S. community service for manslaughter i'll be really pissed.
and like others suggested, the league or Stallworth should give his salary to the family. - firewall1, on 04/02/2009, -1/+3No *****! I mean, what does it cost to have a driving company on call?
All these multi million dollar celebrities getting into DUI/DUI Accidents, etc.
For about $50, you can go on CL and find a driver who will pick you up, drop you off and return you home when you want.
So, for about $50 - these people (Paris Hilton, Donte, the list goes on and on) decide that jail/prison is an easier route. - Barbarino, on 04/02/2009, -1/+3Sadly DD deaths here in S Florida are out of control... I've never seen in my life so many wrong way on 95 DD accidents.. Another one just happned here in Lauderdale last week. Drunk dude in a bmw, going the wrong way on 95, hit a van head on killing one.. I saw Jim Leyritz at a club at the Hard Rock, I was going to get a pic of him drinking alcohol, but he was only sipping on water. He's now back in jail for violating his bond. STOP ***** DRINKING AND DRIVING!
- NinjaBoy, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2Too soon
- inactive, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2k

He really drove this one to the grave - Wreckage, on 04/02/2009, -1/+3Imagine if the situation was reversed and stallworth got hit.
- firewall1, on 04/02/2009, -2/+4You're a fag.
- jason210, on 04/02/2009, -0/+2not really. the saints cut him because he never practiced.
the eagles cut him because he was a waste of money. the patriots cut him because he did nothing. - AudioLoveMagic, on 04/02/2009, -1/+2He's going to prison, but why don't white collar criminals also go to prison? Screw this minimum security, tennis, folding socks nonsense. Drunken killers should share punishment space with the guy who robbed nana & pap pap's retirement fund.
(Admittedly kind of a sidebar, sorry) - Gixxer18, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1You're right my friends and family members are all non criminal, intelligent members of society.
- gonorea007, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Is there a prison warden putting together a team out there?
QB - Michael Vick
RB - OJ Simpson
WR - Donte Stallworth, Plaxico Burress, Rae Carruth
They even have a back-up RB - Maurice Clarett - dannykeene, on 04/02/2009, -1/+2playing for mangina will be a lot tougher than playing for his buddy grimmace crannell
- DankBuddz, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Well I guess you don't have many friends or families who drive home from bars.
- bills534, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1well drunk driver think all stupid pedestrians in their way should be executed.
- Gixxer18, on 04/02/2009, -1/+2i'm all for it... if they're criminals
- JCEEZ, on 04/02/2009, -1/+2He was on mine last year, he did *****...
- firewall1, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1learn English, ass.
- solomonp, on 04/02/2009, -0/+0Wow, life is so short. People please be aware of this gift we all share. Life here on earth.
Solomon@some365.com - duckmanneo, on 04/02/2009, -1/+1As rewording that song about read a book ***** read a mother f'ing book and so on. For this subject it should be worded as this.
If your drunk *****, call a mother f'king cab. If your drunk *****, call a mother f'king cab. Also get the big o' booties shaking in the background
to get more peoples' attention. - STEVEZ33, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0u got all that money 200 people would come get u if u made a call, rent a limo to take u home if your too ashamed of the taxi
- diggposterssuc, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0This is a tragic incident that should have never taken place to anyone at any time. I wish both families the best to get through this. The man who was killed left behind a family and Stallworth has one too. Dante seemed genuinely distraught in the police video....... I also feel some of the guilt too for wishing that this incident gets the Human Hamstring Pull Phil Savage Crap Signee the hell outta of Cleveland for good.
- tmeaster, on 04/09/2009, -0/+0Seems simple enough doesn't it?
- inactive, on 04/02/2009, -4/+3He was depressed being traded from the patriots.
