- M4Quan, on 11/16/2008, -0/+18As a longtime Steeler fan it's nice to see the Rooney family work this out.
- Gr1nch, on 11/15/2008, -1/+8Meanwhile in DC....Dan Snyder continues to pimp the Washington Redskins for over a Bil.
Good move there Jack Kent Cooke.
At least Pittsburgh had the sense to get this stuff decided before they all croaked, putting them in DC's situation. Congrats, good to see it stay in a well-liked family. - TheBigBad, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6The Steelers are one of the few NFL teams that do things the right way.
- bigbadgoat, on 11/16/2008, -0/+5got rid of LT?
Yeah, that's a smart move.
***** that guy, he sucks!
/s - Tamriel, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Pittsburgh beats San Diego by 5 tomorrow. I'll take that bet.
- sablowsky, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3I miss Jerome "The Bus" Bettis.....FWP is no longer Fast Willie Parker, but now Fragile Willie Parker. Hopefully Big Ben can heat up tomorrow and play as good as he actually is. LET"S GO STEELERS!
- smacksaw, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3The bury button for you doesn't even have enough digits for all of the rings the Steelers have.
- RodgerE1, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3Go Steelers!
- spyd3rweb, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3DIABEETUS is Wilford Brimley.
- deadapostle, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2And I'm still broke. What a country!
- aphiz, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2This article didn't even make the front page of espn.com.
- smacksaw, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2As opposed to Jack Kent Cooke, who is right now figuring a way to overthrow Satan in hell.
- smacksaw, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2LOL...that guy lives right near me. I think if I saw him in person, I would not be able to refrain from blurting out DIABEETUS to him. If he got cross with me, I'd just tell him my insulin might be low and ask if I can use his equipment to test my glucose.
- smacksaw, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1Of course this is all brought on by the estate taxes - capital gains.
I think it would be nice if teams were like the Packers, owned by the city.
But if you extrapolate it further, this is a great idea: sell your asset to the general public and it's 100% tax-free money. The public still gets use/revenue from it. - nemrel, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1But then can I sue for not getting my free tickets to home games? Or can I have my next birthday party at Heinz Field?
- jcaino, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1Yay!
- smackydoodle, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1why?
- hedgiemaster, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1If this is about the Steelers why is the pic contain bears and lions players??
- nemrel, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1lions, tigers and bear.....oh my
- baajes, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1lol man, 2,5 k's. now selling for hundreds of millions. sollid investment.
goooo steelers woooeeew - calvinw, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1DAAA..Steelers?
- MasterQ, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1My wife's been dead for 10 years... who the hell did I hit?
/familyguy - nemrel, on 11/16/2008, -1/+2It's about damn time! Dan Rooney and his son are the only Rooney's left that give a crap about Pittsburgh, the Steelers and their dad's dream/legacy. I will be happy for Dan when everyone signs on the dotted line in December and the NFL gives the deal their sign of approval. The Steelers are truly a one of a kind club. And that's mainly because of Art and Dan's judgment, wisdom and risk-taking style.
- 07scupet, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1Haha, can't a Browns fan be a little bit bitter? Sheesh, give me a break.
- nemrel, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1O heard that he has refused to juggle babies that are on fire, over top an aquarium filled with rabid parana (with frickin' lasers), while also blind-folded and being serviced by Janet Reno, as Wilford Brimley punches Vladimir Putin - while Putin is dressed as Heath Ledger's Joker. So yeah Obama just seems to be a real dick!
- ramenite, on 11/16/2008, -2/+2Art Rooney Jr. said the brothers hope to get the deal wrapped up before a board meeting in December. Both sides want to get a deal done by then because they are worried about possible higher taxes once the Obama administration is in office.
Is there anything Obama CAN'T do? - compwiz45, on 02/26/2009, -0/+0Man I cant stand the steelers.... Cant believe they beat the cardinals...
http://www.squidoo.com/makecomputerrunfaster - VivaNiagara, on 02/06/2009, -0/+0Keep up with the Steelers at http://www.PittsburghSteelers-on-Youtube.info/ !
- hooah212002, on 11/16/2008, -4/+2Nice pic of Matt forte there.....greatest rookie sensation since Hester.
Oh, this is a Steelers article? sorry. - inactive, on 11/16/2008, -2/+0DIABETES! Andy ROoney for the winnah. TYPE 2 DIABETES.
- sockpuppets, on 11/16/2008, -5/+2I think they should have Andy Rooney announce the games. "Didya ever wonder why they call them pigskins?"
- fuckyoo, on 11/16/2008, -4/+0Steelers lose by 32 because the Chargers wake up an realize they are the best team in NFL...Oh who am i kidding...Chargers should have kept Michael Turner and Drew Brees and got rid of LT and Rivers.... Yeah i said it...
- 07scupet, on 11/16/2008, -9/+1Buried for Steelers.
