- gr8spAcstr, on 12/29/2008, -9/+32Despite their refusal to acknowledge the rivalry - Philly owns Dallas!
Go Eagles! - Maxmaxxwell, on 12/30/2008, -0/+18NERD!!!
- GlobalRoamer, on 12/29/2008, -12/+28Going back to the way Jerry "Jughead" Jones fired Tom Landry still rubs me the wrong way.
The Dallas Cowboys are a PRIVATE ENTERPRISE. This business exists for one purpose; to make Jughead Jones more money. The moment Jones stops making money off of Dallas he will move the team in a heart beat.
The people of Texas in general, and Dallas in particular, are too stupid to mind their tax money. They let the government rip them off to build a $1.1 billion stadium for the Dallas Cowboys.
Given the way Jones treated Landry and took the citizens of Dallas for a bunch of stooges, I have no respect for the team. - bdiggitty, on 12/29/2008, -1/+16Yeah, its absolutely embarassing. They imploded, as they should have. Wade lost control of the team. I'm appalled that Jerry won't fire him. The Cowboys have arguably the most talent at every position, yet they are undisciplined due to their wuss of a coach. There was a time when anything less than a Superbowl was unacceptable for Jerry. Now he's preaching continuity. What a joke. Guess we'll waste our talent for another year.
- dawglse, on 12/30/2008, -0/+13Actually it was Arlington, not Dallas who approved it. =P
- Decimit, on 12/30/2008, -2/+15I'm an Eagles fan and I almost felt bad for the Cowboys...almost.
- elessar2, on 12/29/2008, -10/+23cry cowgirls cry, on the road to oblivion
- mcnees287, on 12/30/2008, -15/+27makes my day to see the cobows fail.
- Ultra200, on 12/30/2008, -5/+17How bout dem cowboys
I am laughing and pointing at cowboy nation - MetalHead73, on 12/30/2008, -0/+11I'm not familiar with this "cobows" you speak of.
- inactive, on 12/30/2008, -15/+25America's team my ass.
After hating all rival teams in my division, I save a little hatred just for the Cowboys. Just cause some dumbass sportswriter crowned them America's Team. I always wish them to go 0 - 16. - hcapri, on 12/30/2008, -0/+10I don't necessarily disagree with your views of Jerry Jones and the Cowboys but it's stupid of you to use such a broad brush to paint of Texans.
Texan != Cowboys fan. - inactive, on 12/30/2008, -1/+11*lose
Or are you trying to say that they are going to be "really loose" in the first round? - MetalHead73, on 12/30/2008, -3/+12All you diggers can rip the Cowboys as much as you want. You don't seem to realize we completely agree how completely ***** pathetic our team's performance was on Sunday, so you can stop your childish "cowgirls" and "Tony *****" *****.
- alabamasucks, on 12/30/2008, -5/+14Haven't won a playoff game since 1996 and has lost the last game of the regular season for the past 9 straight years! I hope everyone across the nation jumps off the Cowboy band wagon.
- StolenLamp, on 12/30/2008, -0/+9He can't do well when the plays suck and he's not being protected.
- jason0802, on 12/30/2008, -0/+9Burying this comment for inaccuracies. The facts:
-The Cowboys haven't played a game in the city of Dallas in 30 years.
-The citizens of Dallas paid 0 tax dollars to build the new stadium.
-The new stadium is not financed with $1.1 billion of tax dollars, but rather $325 million of tax dollars from Arlington.
-Heartbeat is one word. - MetalHead73, on 12/30/2008, -0/+9You're asking a lot of a QB who just began his second full year as a starter. A QB who had to deal with an annoying injury and some egotastic teammates.
- bgeek, on 12/30/2008, -1/+10Although Romo chokes quite a bit, the problem is that the entire offense has been out of sync this season. The defense has carried this team throughout the season.
- Gyp2, on 12/30/2008, -1/+9Arlington did not spend $1.1 billion, their total cost was capped at $325 million and they get a piece of the naming rights. The Superbowl, final four, nba all-star game, cotton bowl, red river shootout, etc will be held there bringing in tourists and they will bring in lots of money. Arlington didn't get hosed on this deal. The debate on weather cities should subsidize stadiums is a much bigger argument, but Arlington didn't get ripped off in this deal like some other cities have.
- MetalHead73, on 12/30/2008, -0/+8If we were to release Romo, there would be a free for all for all teams in need of a QB to get him. He's not a bad QB, we don't need a new QB, we need to let him grow as a player. This was only his second full season, remember that. Last year he led us to a 13-3 record, and then a playoff loss to the team that would go on to beat the Patriots and win the Superbowl. This year, our team imploded when he was injured, you saw what happened when he was injured for 3 games, we were pathetic.
Romo is the franchise QB of the Cowboys, he's only going to get better. - lupka, on 12/30/2008, -1/+8Things must be bad. The Staples store in our area was giving away 2009 Cowboys Calendars.
http://tinyurl.com/6wzo4c - dext3r, on 12/30/2008, -3/+10The thing about Tony ***** is that he is a cowgirl.
That is all. - inactive, on 12/29/2008, -4/+11I don know what to say, I am one pissed off Cowboys fan that the talent on this team dont click and Romo sucks ass under pressure..get rid of Wade and Garret, there both wrong for the Cowboys....atleast Da Bears lost to....helps ease the pain a lil.
- retop56, on 12/30/2008, -3/+10I almost lost my voice for screaming so hard during the Cowboys. I was so excited when they forced that fumble. The game after that was pretty much just me laughing at the Cowboys and dancing because the Eagles were making the Cowboys look like a high school team. It was very awesome ; )
- krueger038, on 12/30/2008, -0/+6HA! So true.
I liked fat Jerry Jones better. He just seemed much more jolly back then.
fat Jerry:

Skeletor Jerry:
http://redeye.chicagotribune.com/chi-071211young-p ... - gradeacustodian, on 12/30/2008, -0/+6The Cowboys are proof that you need more than just talent to win. TO, Romo, and Witten are all top players at their position, but what are they missing? Team chemistry. Just look at teams like the Dolphins and Falcons.
Them 'boys are turning into this decade's version of the Raiders. I mean having convicts as players and overbearing owners? I just hope they fall to the same level of ***** as the silver and black have. - inactive, on 12/30/2008, -1/+7I still don't see how Romo is the future of the Cowboys. One game he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, next game he is absolute garbage. I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt considering the injuries.. sigh.
This team is in trouble. - PGPirate, on 12/30/2008, -1/+74,384 since the Dallas Cowboys last won a postseason game.
- trunks13, on 12/30/2008, -1/+7It all starts at the top with Jerry Jones. Thanks for signing Pacman Jones. Thanks for trading for Roy Williams then giving him a fat contract before he even caught one pass.
All Jerry Jones needs is to look in the mirror to see whose fault it is that the Cowboys are terrible. - bgeek, on 12/30/2008, -0/+6Agreed. The offensive strategy needs to be restructured. The talent is there, but the cohesiveness isn't.
- selfdisplaced, on 12/30/2008, -0/+644 > 6
- adventflux, on 12/30/2008, -2/+7What?
- MetalHead73, on 12/30/2008, -0/+5You sir are correct. The Dallas Cowboys have never existed within Dallas. It's been Irving, and now, Arlington.
- thetanman, on 12/30/2008, -0/+5NO URGENCY. Philadelphia wanted it way more, and the lack of heart pisses me off. You see glimmers of what they're capable of, but by and large their give-a-***** is broke. I hate to say it, but I think that's a leadership problem. You can raise the money and build a billion dollar stadium but your players can't leave it all on the field for a ***** playoff spot. I wanna see tears after you lose, and you don't wear a newsboy cap to a press conference after you just got your ass handed to you ROMO. If they had 11 Jason Wittens out there you wouldn't get beat.
- unitqm, on 12/30/2008, -5/+9Jerry Jones = Skeletor with full blown AIDS
- bigsteve, on 12/30/2008, -0/+4Spoken (and spelled) like a Dallas fan.
- kesin, on 12/30/2008, -0/+4when your franchise is the cash cow of the nfl then you get espn up your ass with their rumor reporting.
- endustry, on 12/30/2008, -0/+4#1: Get a coach with some balls. Wade Phillips seems like a decent gentleman but if you've elected to make yourself the "last chance saloon" for the NFL's most attitudinal retreads (see #2), you need someone with balls. Too bad Mike Singletary just signed a long-term deal with SF. If anyone could make a 300-pound lineman crap their overpaid pantalones with a single look, it's Mike Singletary.
#2: Quit picking up the dregs of the NFL. T.O. is a whiny bitch and "Pacman" Jones really just doesn't understand that this is really "it" for him. Also, unless "Tank" Johnson plans on "capping" someone, I think it's best to let him go, too. (Don't even get me started on Tony "1-Tequila, 2-Tequila, 3-Tequila-the-Other-Team-Scores" Romo.) The NFL is not a reality TV show (yet) and so it's probably time that Dallas ends its try-outs.
#3: Jerry Jones is a control freak in the same division as Washington's Dan Snyder. How has Dan Synder's micromanagement benefited the Redskins? It hasn't. STFU and sign the paychecks, Jerry. - inactive, on 12/30/2008, -0/+4Just promise me that if you play the chargers you guys beat them by 40. And, one other thing - if you happen to knock rivers out cold that will be the icing on the cake.
- SetOverSet, on 12/30/2008, -0/+4Then you aren't really an Eagles fan :). I've already watched that game 6 times today, and I cried each time.....laughing so hard.
- Fragalishus, on 12/30/2008, -0/+3And a pre-madonna is? Cyndi Lauper?
- klooper, on 12/30/2008, -0/+3Tony Romo is generally the best quarterback in the league until about week 13, when he becomes the worst.
The bigger the game, the more likely is ***** to choke. - dawglse, on 12/30/2008, -0/+3Actually they have before Texas Stadium existed. They used to play in the Cotton Bowl, which is Dallas county.
I know so much cause I live here. =P - chadhuston, on 12/30/2008, -1/+4Don’t people realize that by talking about how much they hate the Cowboys and they shouldn’t be called “Americas team”, they are really just solidifying the fact that the Boys are Americas team. It’s the same with the New York Yankees and LA Lakers. Anytime something bad happens everyone comes out of the woodwork to talk about how pathetic they are. Except that when teams that are actually pathetic Lions, Royals, Grizzlies, etc… have a meltdown no one cares.
- UnpossibIe, on 12/30/2008, -1/+4Jerry Jones needs to fire Jerry Jones. Get a competent GM to start hiring skillfull leadership and you'll start seeing success. Of course, I hope this doesn't happen, since I don't like the Cowboys and their fans. Jerry Jones likes having his hands in everything instead of doing what a President/Owner should be doing and his team is paying the price.
- Gndoab, on 12/30/2008, -5/+8no matter how disappointed I am that the skins didn't make the play offs, I am satisfied that the crygirls didn't either.
- blinker265, on 12/30/2008, -5/+8the football gods were watching over philly last night, and i loved every minute of it
- fakeguy, on 12/30/2008, -1/+3Im a niners fan and have never even been remotely close to feeling bad for that team.
- LordRedSnake, on 12/30/2008, -0/+2Romo is a good QB, current performance notwithstanding, Witten is one of the best TEs in the league, Barber was a top RB until he got injured, and Owens and Williams are talented receivers. That's just the offense, and there's plenty of talent on defense. This is coming from an Eagles fan. But as a team they've played horribly mid-season onward. They surely have more talent than a lot of teams out there, even playoff teams like the Cardinals who have a QB, 2 receivers and nothing else.
I just want to stop hearing about Pacman Jones like he's a good player or something. He's been nothing but average, if that, and his returns are often pathetic. People only know who he is because of his off field problems. -
