That is one option.....
OR
DON'T GO THROUGH A RED LIGHT! - inactive, on 11/20/2007, -10/+68"Wait and Look before going through a Red Light"
You're a ***** retard just like that driver is. NEVER ATTEMPT TO RUN A RED LIGHT. - inactive, on 11/20/2007, -6/+56Such a horrific waste of lives due to NO reason except one person's stupidity. My prayers are with Siran, his family and for those people fighting for their lives.

Yes, because they are just like stop signs. So run them with caution. - bamafun, on 11/20/2007, -3/+32The Latest News on the Crash - Driver of Pickup was said to be going 80Mph and ran the red light.
The Stacys live about two miles from the scene of the accident and were apparently heading towards their home.
Today would have been Lequisa Stacy's 19th birthday.

http://www.dothaneagle.com/gulfcoasteast/dea/local ... - Drahkar, on 11/20/2007, -1/+19I'm right there with you. Perhaps it would be best if we all justt stopped at the red light like we are supposed to. The whole going through them seems to cause accidents like these.
- smackafiyah, on 11/20/2007, -0/+17This is something NO person should go trough. Lose your wife AND three of your kids?
- ridium, on 11/20/2007, -5/+22Stop, wait, look, before going through a red? How about never go through a red.
I hope you meant "look both ways as you begin going through a green". Either way this totally sucks. - Seidoger, on 11/20/2007, -4/+20This is terrible.. 4 children..
But I think the summary, instead of
Please Digg And Remind Your Loved Ones to Always Stop Wait and Look before going through a Red Light.
Should read:
Please Digg And Remind Your Loved Ones to Always Stop at a Red Light. - inactive, on 11/20/2007, -2/+18So sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -2/+17Was it worth getting home a few minutes faster? ***** idiot driver.
- flashboy131, on 11/20/2007, -1/+15omg, 4 of 5 children and his wife, living would be torture.
my prayers. - CraigJ, on 11/20/2007, -2/+16Revised:
"Please Digg And Remind Your Loved Ones to Always Stop Wait and Look before going through a Green Light so that you and your family aren't killed by some ***** that runs a red light" - arsheroica, on 11/20/2007, -2/+14"A driver who ran a red light broadsided A van driven by former University of Alabama football star Siran Stacy was struck by a pickup"
I think you need to work on your sentence structure. That's damn near nonsensical.
And yeah, that is really unfortunate, thoughts are with them. - Enochyang, on 11/20/2007, -1/+12Actually, he lost four of his five kids. Just terrible.
- daybreaker, on 11/20/2007, -3/+14yay! let's bring athiesm into a thread about a tragic event when religion wasnt being discussed AT ALL! You'll be so popular!
- Pilot85, on 11/20/2007, -1/+12His children die and he lives, and thats karma?
- Neiby, on 11/20/2007, -0/+10I have never heard of this guy but this is still horribly sad. I sure hope he and his four-year-old both pull through.
- pmctosh, on 11/20/2007, -2/+12Such a tragic story. My prayers go out for all. What a senseless waste of life.
- bamafun, on 11/20/2007, -1/+10Yes sorry I had just gotten word from friends about this story and I was upset and typed it wrong. I Should have said Please DONT run red lights, stop wait and look even after it turns green. Again sorry all - just was upset.
- CrazedLeper, on 11/20/2007, -1/+9Total A$$h*le. What if it were you? Would it serve you right?
- TexTurboesq, on 11/20/2007, -0/+8Horrible, just horrible. My sincere condolences to Siran and the family.
- atbnet, on 11/20/2007, -0/+8Maybe because it takes accidents to remind people to be more careful. I never think to look driving off when the light turn green. Also it would remind you to think when that light turns yellow to have better judgement in speeding up to beat it or sucking it up and waiting. Those few minutes you might get home later may be the difference between life an death.
- aeiou, on 11/20/2007, -0/+8Sorry, but the point is that when the light turns green, its always a good idea to look and make sure no one is running the light. Not putting any blame on his wife whatsoever, but its never a bad idea to be cautious. The description was mis-written
- ArkAngel06, on 11/20/2007, -3/+10Yea, cause if everyone stopped at a green light, that wouldn't cause massive traffic problems...
You're wrong, and the person who made the topic is wrong. Don't stop at green lights, and don't run red lights. If everyone followed that rule, accidents like this wouldn't happen. - codesuidae, on 11/20/2007, -0/+7It gives people a way to express their compassion in a socially recognized way, helping community members to deal with their emotions and preventing them from feeling isolated, regardless of whether or not they know those who were effected. Many of our fellow humans have very strong sympathetic reactions to tragedy and use expressions such as these to deal with theirs and others emotions. Have compassion for them, even if you do not personally feel the need to express yourself in that way.
- ncc74656m, on 11/20/2007, -0/+7Reading things like this just makes me want to cry. I know if I was in his place, I just wouldn't want to wake up. My heart and sincerest prayers go out to this man and his family.
- samuelmcm, on 11/20/2007, -0/+6Sad :'(
My prayers to all those who were lost and or injured. - mythril, on 11/20/2007, -0/+6That is no defense.
- inactive, on 11/20/2007, -1/+7This is so sad. My prayers are with him and his 3 year old girl.
- mythril, on 11/20/2007, -0/+6Darwin had no "plan"
- cjustice, on 11/20/2007, -1/+6Being from Alabama (save your moronic jokes about how Alabamians are dumb for another time), it is very common for traffic lights to be referred to as 'red lights'. I could definitely see how the poster made the mistake.
- pryoee4, on 11/20/2007, -1/+6A whole page of comments spent bickering about the OP's description.
When the light you are sitting at turns green, don't immediately press the gas and go. Pause a second and make sure that some ***** who thought he can beat the yellow light on his side isn't barreling down the road. I can't even count the number of times I have almost been t-boned when my light was green and someone passed the red light 2 seconds later. Don't always assume other drivers are going to do the right thing, I usually always anticipate the worst from other drivers on the road. - inactive, on 11/20/2007, -2/+7he died too
- getliquified, on 11/20/2007, -0/+5RIP
- gcauthon, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5People just can't read. Pickup truck driver was approaching passenger side of van and ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! Imagine approaching an intersection and a driver ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD is approaching at a high rate of speed around the corner, 90 degrees to your right. Do you really think you would see him in time? I think it's safe to assume a former NFL draftee has better peripheral vision and reaction time than you. I would be willing to bet that you would have gotten creamed in the same situation.
- repmekevets, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4i'm pretty sure if you're stopped at a red light, then look around once it turns green (which is what craigj means, i believe), no one will be speeding towards you from behind. otherwise we have a completely different issue.
- squirrelza, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4It sucks for him. Imagine trying to live his life having lost his whole family.
- mythril, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4This type of thing is exactly why road rage is sometimes justified. When people risk your life on the road due to impatience, how is that any different than pointing a gun at your head?
- ncc74656m, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5Sometimes people get attached to celebrities as much as friends and family. That's all.
And maybe it will also help to bring attention to peoples' driving habits, maybe they won't be so careless in the future.
And I won't bury you for your (mostly correct) opinion, but I think it's a little callous to mention that at this point. - jamesalfaro, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5The submitter meant to say "look before crossing the green light". That makes more sense, in this case. The driver of the van and his family were crossing a green when they were struck by the pickup.
- Qeveren, on 11/20/2007, -10/+14Never assume the other driver is going to do the right thing.
- offspring06, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4Why do people run red lights?
- aceakm, on 11/21/2007, -0/+4A man is hit by a car and loses his whole family except one daughter... have some sympathy.
- EntangledPhysx, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3It's unthinkable.
- Boing, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3That's terrible. :(
- TwoKings, on 11/20/2007, -2/+5You are a piece of garbage.............
- Aflyctus, on 11/20/2007, -1/+4I find it interesting that most of the posts are about the problems with the people's sentence structure and word choice. You would think in a tragedy like this, a man's family getting wiped out, people's thoughts would be more geared towards showing that a Digg and its community can come together to show sorrow for someone else's loss. I don't care if this person is/was a great sports figure, instead the fact that he survived while his family did not... ever consider what that would do to someone?
- gcauthon, on 11/20/2007, -2/+5You're a ***** retard. The driver didn't go through a red light. The light was green. RTFA!
- glucoseboy, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3I've noticed over the years that more and more folks are running red lights as just normal, matter of fact activity. And these drivers aren't just sneaking over the line at the red, I've talking one or two seconds after the light in the other direction has clearly changed to green.
Sad really -
