- trapper2530, on 04/02/2009, -0/+31R.I.P. Neck Beard
- BetterOffEd, on 04/02/2009, -1/+26Wait...
...the hurricane is named "Hurricane Ditka" - Snoogs, on 04/02/2009, -6/+26DAAAAAAAA BEARS!!!
- dehlz, on 04/02/2009, -1/+18"The Bears are not who I thought they were" -- Welcome to Chicago Jay Cutler!
Way to finally step up to the plate Jerry. - mrshickadance9, on 04/02/2009, -3/+19WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
- ngb5012, on 04/02/2009, -3/+19Coach Ditka vs. a hurricane - who would win?
- drizzlelicious, on 04/03/2009, -0/+16"Awww, the Denver Broncos?"
"I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good!"
"You just don't understand football, Marge" - rocketman42, on 04/02/2009, -0/+16I seriously doubt the Lions will be better than them.
- hawksfan03, on 04/02/2009, -6/+21i hope he has fun throwing to.... wait can anyone name a receiver on the bears?
- Recluse84, on 04/02/2009, -4/+19Lifetime Bears fan here and im just ***** speechless. I mean, a real ***** quarterback?!
- Neiby, on 04/02/2009, -3/+17As a Bronco fan, I have to say that I'm looking forward to having some free time on sunday afternoons this fall. I don't know if I'll be able to stand watching what's become of this team.
- TheYellowMole, on 04/02/2009, -0/+13We just got Orlando Pace too. Sweet day to be a bears fan.
- mrshickadance9, on 04/02/2009, -0/+12I would say most bears fans could.. they're just bad.
it can be made an argument that if you have a good running game, good O line and good quarterback, the receivers become better by default. - Cap18patz, on 04/02/2009, -1/+13Wow, big name player coming to the Bears. Hopefully they run some plays to take advantage of his big arm.
- TJ11240, on 04/02/2009, -1/+13They can always draft crabtree or maclin in the... oh wait
- trapper2530, on 04/02/2009, -0/+11since 2003 the bears are 7-3 against the packers
- TheYellowMole, on 04/02/2009, -4/+15Well, at least we know the Bears will give him plenty of great WR's to throw to.
I see no way this could fail. - CreedFeed, on 04/02/2009, -1/+12Too bad he's got no one to throw to.
- eprowten, on 04/02/2009, -9/+18Two first rounders, a third rounder and a decent QB for a crybaby who just quit on his team? Congratulations Chicago, I hope you like the cellar of the NFC North
- hawksfan03, on 04/02/2009, -0/+9because great return men = great receivers right?
Hester had 51 catches 665 yards 3 TDs in 15 games
similar numbers to Antwan Randel El, Michael Jenkins and Bobby Wade - Pimptastic, on 04/02/2009, -0/+9Have you seen the bears track record on #1 picks? A case of jock straps would have been a good investment for a couple first round picks.
- hawksfan03, on 04/02/2009, -0/+8I think you mean Kyle "Neck beard" Orton
- pixelate, on 04/03/2009, -1/+9I still don't get why Shanahan was let go, but if it came down to a choice (for whatever reason, whoever was at fault) between Jay Cutler and the coordinator of the greatest offense in NFL history... Denver fans are ready to move on to a new coach? Really?
Speaking of choices:
1. Return a ***** phone call and prepare for what would have been the best season of your career.
2, Head to Chicago and breathlessly await the acquisition of someone who can catch a football. Because of trust issues.
Well played, Jay. - jon30041, on 04/02/2009, -0/+8You've heard of the Lions, right?
- DeltaOne, on 04/02/2009, -1/+8Dogs and Cats, living together! MASS HYSTERIA!!!
- mrshickadance9, on 04/02/2009, -2/+9no we're not. stop it.
- dudestuff, on 04/03/2009, -0/+7broncos front office: "listen, orton, you're gonna have to shave that neckbeard."
orton: (nasal voice) "yeah, you're gonna have to trade me." - wem003, on 04/02/2009, -2/+8Somehow as a lifelong Bears fan I expect Grossman and Orton to have pro-bowl years now.
Just remember Rick Mirer.
That said, go sign Orlando Pace and get some quality receivers. - tastypastry, on 04/03/2009, -1/+6Hey ***** you! It beats having crappy QBs.
- f4nt0m4s, on 04/02/2009, -0/+5I thought Kyle Orton was a leader. He went and gave a hell of an effort, even with an injured ankle. And he was consistent, something that Rex was not. The reality is the Chicago organization is built on defense, a good run game, and a QB who can get the job done. Orton fit that bill, and was showing improvement with each game up until the injury.
Who is Cutler going to throw the ball to? Does Chicago really need a whinny QB who doesn't want to take hits?
Being a Bears fan I have no choice but to hope for the best, but I'm disappointed we got rid of Orton. Cutler will have to earn his respect here in Chicago. - Submerge, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6Hester should stick with kick returns
- chesterogilvie, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6You're ***** delusional.
- xxmjumpman23xx, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6Except Moss and Brady are more talented.
- bubbameister33, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5I dugg you up. My team's QB is Jake Delhomme. I'm sorry.
- Snoogs, on 04/02/2009, -3/+8Ditka 271, Hurricane- negative 10.
- robbiedo, on 04/02/2009, -2/+7I foresee Rex Grossman starting career rising from the ashes of Jay Cutler's torn ACL.
- nathanbutnet, on 04/02/2009, -0/+5Now we just need a WR... or two
- inactive, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6God I ***** hate Mark Schlereth.
- DivineLies, on 04/02/2009, -1/+6doubt it...
- kmattso, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4Dear Chicago,
***** you and your new ***** QB.
Love,
Denver - scheibs14, on 04/02/2009, -1/+5Damn, if the Lions draft Stafford, the Vikings are gonna be in rough shape when it comes to division QB's
- ncnavguy, on 04/02/2009, -1/+5Eprowten is just bitter because his team inherited a coach that set them back 3-5 yrs contention wise. He arrive's in denver where the team has a top ranked offense and bottom ranked defense and guess what the first thing he does? Fires the offensive coaches and tries to trade thier pro bowl quarterback. I'd be bitter to if my team was being run by such a short buser.
- elcalrissian, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4any real NFL fan, like my 2 year old neice...
Woulda called it the Lombardi trophy. - HamSandwich, on 04/03/2009, -1/+5Funny, I don't recall the Bears and Rams ever being in the same division.
- hawksfan03, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4thank you for not being an idiot
- daveR, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4"go sign Orlando Pace"
done - trapper2530, on 04/02/2009, -1/+5youre doing it wrong
- inactive, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4Josh McDaniels is a retarded pig *****. How do you piss off your star QB so quickly?
- mauleriscool, on 04/02/2009, -1/+4damn....when he was coming out of college I really wanted him as a bear....can't believe it happened.
