- hackiavelli, on 10/20/2009, -1/+14Give me a freakin' break. The authorities say it's a crime of passion and the "reporters" at CBS are worried about when Kazemi bought the gun, how much money she had in her account, and her DUI arrest? Do they understand what a crime of passion is?
I sure as hell hope they have more than that because between this and the David Letterman blackmail scandal CBS is looking to have the least professional investigative news units in the business. - Heywoodj, on 10/19/2009, -1/+10Another high profile case, another tainted investigation.
Its got to make you wonder what happens to us mere mortals when we get involved with the cops. - EastBury, on 10/19/2009, -0/+9I do hope this case is resolved soon. RIP McNair
- 2012ronpaul, on 10/20/2009, -0/+7CSI could have wrapped this up in 1 hour.

- shutaro, on 10/19/2009, -1/+5It was ninjas.
- elliotys, on 10/20/2009, -0/+4FTA:Police also said Kazemi was angry about having been arrested for DUI, but CBS uncovered video footage showing Kazemi at the police station after her arrest, and she doesn't look distraught.
I'm not arguing that the police may have bunged it up, but this is a completely subjective analysis. Generally by the time you get to the station, you have had time to calm down, but that doesn't mean you are not still pissed. - publiclurker, on 10/20/2009, -4/+8Anything that results in a dead black guy is alright by you, right?
- seearees, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3Considering Mcnair is a bit of a hometown hero in Nashville I think fudged details, no matter how minor, could point to the police having a bias during the investigation. And I would argue that these inconsistencies uncovered by CBS are far from minor. Their whole report was based on this girl being a distraught mess. It looks as if that may not have been the case.
One thing I do question though is CBS's take on her finances. While it may be true that she had enough to pay her current bills, it doesn't take into account all the fee's that may have come with her DUI. She had yet to be prosecuted for that and considering the average DUI costs the defendant $10k, the 2.5k wouldn't likely have helped much. Still, 10k hardly seems like something to set someone on a path like the police say she was on. - Napiertt, on 10/20/2009, -2/+5Sensationalist crap. CBS trying to drum up ratings by inventing a controversy. Despicable. Buried.
- elliotys, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3By merely implying it was ninjas means it could not have been ninjas, because ninjas would have killed you before you typed your comment.
- elliotys, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3I would watch your tone. . .People like us. . .disapear.

- hackiavelli, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3If it was a crime of passion the other points would be minor at best. The motive for such crimes is the relationship, not depression or financial hardship.
Unless CBS can disprove McNair was shot in his sleep from close range, that Kazemi had a self-inflected gunshot wound to her head with powder residue on her hand, and that the apartment was locked from the inside, they've got nothing. - Purplekat, on 10/20/2009, -0/+3I've been through failed relationships before, and I have yet to feel the urge to pick up a gun and shoot my ex, then myself. And I'm not even a particularly 'bubbly' person -- nothing like the descriptions of this woman in the CBS article.
Seems to me that for a 'crime of passion' to get to the 'crime' part, there's got to be some kind of X factor that most people -- the people who go through breakups and manage to avoid shooting anyone -- don't experience.
The police claimed financial difficulties and something or another about the DUI. The CBS investigation has ruled out the financial part and made clear that she couldn't have bought the gun when they said she did, because she was at work. (... Which then brings into question everything that the guy who claimed she bought the gun from him said.) - brandonAll, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2^Nerd Alert

- flapanthers87, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2YYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - moxley, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2This could have been something else...Easily...If someone wanted him dead (or her) it would be relatively easy (comparitively) to stage this sort of a crime.
- thecoolestguy, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2ACORN defender calls believer of limited government and opponent of corrupt wealth redistribution programs (like ACORN) sociopathic, I'm so surprised!
- sinurgy, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2Reporters can't even report and I'm supposed to believe they can investigate properly?!
- seearees, on 10/20/2009, -0/+2I'm not sure I understand your logic. Yes their report says it was a crime of passion but there has to be evidence to back up those claims. Her being in a downward spiral over the last week of her life was what they cited as the evidence and some of the major points for that argument were her financial problems, her DUI and her buying the gun.
There are a number of other inconsistencies related to this case and this hasn't been the first time that the investigation has been questioned. I can't imagine why anyone would think this case should be left alone. - runner1, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1//puts on asbestos coat and grabs breathing straw for all the buries I expect for saying this.
When is this Going to go away!
Home Town Hero?
GOOD GRIEF GIVE ME A BREAK.
He was a philandering ASS, who even though he was married with a beautiful wife and family, with enough money to live on easy street for the rest of his life, instead stuck it in anything that had boobs until one of the things killed him, and has been found to have fathered yet another child by some other slut is dead. I don't Give a Freek! If he had stayed at home and kept it in his pants like a good husband he would be alive today. I'm sick of this hero worship of dead *****!
And by the way his wife and kids will be better off without a degenerate like him. - jasvll, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1Are you talking about the ACORN employee that admitted to murdering her husband (at the urging of ACORN, I believe) right on camera and didn't even get arrested for it?
- hackiavelli, on 10/21/2009, -0/+1Minus a suicide note or something similar you'll never have evidence for a dead person's motives, only a best guess.
The physical evidence overwhelmingly points to a murder-suicide. We know the how. Anything else is just bickering about the why. - jordanlgta, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1HAY IM CBS PLZ GIVE ME ATTENTION I DONT HAVE A BOYFRIEND OK LOL
- thecoolestguy, on 10/20/2009, -1/+2The ACORN defender plays the racism card, I'm so surprised!
- slappymode, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1Oh, sure. Like, what, she drank some kind of "magic potion" that sedated her? Clearly CBS is on to something here.
- Tubal22, on 10/20/2009, -0/+1Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.
- richardstaboner, on 10/20/2009, -1/+1LOL!!
- mccune, on 10/20/2009, -1/+1Glenn Beck's really got you scared that the sky's falling, huh? I feel bad for you. Don't worry, it'll be alright.
One thing you might not be aware of, though, is that it's not typical for a news outlet, regardless of its size, to have all of its reporters cover just the few 'big' stories. They often cover smaller, more local stories like this one. You'll sometimes also hear about even smaller stories like this about things like house fires in your neighborhood. I know it's not got anything to do with how bad things our with our government, but it often has more real impact with everyday folks. :) - BillyBlue96, on 10/20/2009, -0/+0Of course it's slanted in favor of McNair. Nashville PD kisses the ass of anyone affiliated with the Titans. They're not as crooked as some of the smaller towns and, to be fair, there are some honest officers but on the whole they're incompetent, greedy and on the take.
- publiclurker, on 10/20/2009, -3/+1Anyone who has ever looked at your sociopathic posts knows that it's an accurate description. Don't blame us it the truth shows just how pathetic you are.
- evereddie, on 10/20/2009, -3/+1Hey CBS while the world is falling apart and our white house is covered in corruption you pick this to report on? I got another tip for ya, I heard the blond chick on survivor has a bag of Chips Ahoy under her bed. Go for it.
- inactive, on 10/19/2009, -10/+5CBS was just waayyyyyy too busy to investigate and report on the ACORN scandal...
...but they have time to investigate this *****. - taffjohnsonJr, on 10/19/2009, -6/+1WHO ?
