- badqat, on 06/16/2009, -2/+75Stay at the house, Brett.
- SlowFreshOil, on 06/16/2009, -1/+50I lost respect for him the FIRST time he came out of retirement.
- FirstCuts, on 06/16/2009, -0/+39I don't care what he does. Just want him to make up his damn mind.
- Winkleman, on 06/16/2009, -0/+31Just retire already!
- irfanmp, on 06/16/2009, -0/+26What a surprise.
- mizarone, on 06/16/2009, -1/+26Can't he retire with some dignity? Oh, wait....
- dxchsdrgo, on 06/16/2009, -0/+20Play or don't, pick already and stick with your decision this time
- welestgw, on 06/16/2009, -0/+15All of a sudden I sense John Madden is about to announce that he's coming out of retirement.
- rossnyc, on 06/16/2009, -0/+15Tired of hearing about Brett Favre. Can't watch sportscenter without 10 minutes devoted to will Brett favre play again.
- kristopf, on 06/16/2009, -0/+12In other news: Bret Farve considering retiring a third time.
- pat0neill, on 06/16/2009, -2/+13buried because i can't believe Joe Buck has a television show. UGH
- vileS, on 06/16/2009, -1/+11I would like to announce that a guy I know named Doug is also coming out of retirement. I find this news much more interesting.
- Moonkeeper, on 06/16/2009, -0/+10Favre is the football equivalent of Kiss.
- Wumbus, on 06/16/2009, -0/+9I'd like to direct everyone's attention to the "Related by Keyword" section. This is getting a little ridiculous.
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/218/picture2urk ... - Charlotte_Web, on 06/16/2009, -0/+8I think the retirement was a way to get out of his contract. The Vikings are the team he wanted to leave the Packers for.
- amynewyork4248, on 06/16/2009, -0/+8How is this news, really? His decision changes every other day. Hell, they've probably used this exact same article four times.
- ShingoEX, on 06/16/2009, -3/+10Someone just cut off his feet.
- dougm68, on 06/16/2009, -2/+9We may have to shoot this douche. Bret, you just ain't that good buddy. Even Joe Montana only had one come back and son, YOU are no JOE MONTANA.
-JM - inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+7whhhhooooo ccaaaaaarrrrreeeessss
- mcphattySS, on 06/16/2009, -0/+7I am so sick of this old fart. Stay retired.
- mccartyba, on 06/16/2009, -0/+7Yeah, its too bad he ruined his image the first time he did this... last year.
- katahar, on 06/16/2009, -0/+6Favre is like that girlfriend who gets slapped and beat up, goes to her best friends house for a week and then comes running back for more.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+6is this even a story still?
- dougm68, on 06/16/2009, -2/+8He's better than you too.
- diggstown, on 06/16/2009, -1/+7What a shock! And here everyone was thinking his career-specific offseason surgery meant he was going to retire.
- protogenxl, on 06/16/2009, -2/+7Runaway! Here comes John Madden!
- Ghstfce, on 06/16/2009, -0/+5I agree. No Brett! ((Rolls up newspaper)) No! THWACK!
- M4NiC5, on 06/16/2009, -1/+6Seems like all those good years are washed away by these last few. Huge Packer fan but seeing him in headlines like this just kills me. He could have just went out as a pretty decent QB but now he'll be known as the dude that didn't know when to quit.
- Jershman, on 06/16/2009, -0/+5Stupid reruns.
- DankJemo, on 06/16/2009, -0/+5He was a legend, and that is exactly how he should keep it. I lose respect for someone who cannot make up his mind. I am sure he misses the game, but the fact of the matter is he looks like an idiot every time he says it is his last season, but he comes back anyway. He isn't as good as he used to be, he is old and way out of his prime. Not a lot of teams are going to want him because he isn't going to stick around, or he is going to get injured. I respect the tough decision he has to make, but the fact of the matter is his time is up and it is time for him to move on and find something else to do with his life, he just doesn't have *it* anymore.
- mlvassallo, on 06/16/2009, -0/+5Or to lay low until gambling allegations cooled off at the behest of David Stern. Yah know, one of those things...
- sprNmgcHlmt, on 06/16/2009, -3/+7what a self-centered ego maniacal DICK.
- ehaugan, on 06/16/2009, -0/+4For God's sake Brett, MAKE UP YOUR FREAKING MIND!
- tadsexington69, on 06/16/2009, -1/+5actually it was twice, but the reason he retired the first time was to pursue a career in baseball to honor his recently deceased dad.
- ChaosProfessor, on 06/16/2009, -3/+7I am a Packer fan not a Favre fan I like Rodgers but still
***** Thompson - jayhawkht, on 06/16/2009, -0/+4WHY IS THIS NEWS WE ALL KNOW THIS FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS!
- kilodelta, on 06/16/2009, -0/+4go to the CFL or something.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+4Except he'll come out of retirement, most likely not do very good because he's not in his prime, then suddenly that legend isn't so legendary anymore.
Quite honestly, if I were him, I wouldn't come out of retirement just to keep my legacy intact. - iPwnN00bs, on 06/16/2009, -1/+5"He said the only team he has spoken to is the Minnesota Vikings — and that they would be a perfect fit because he's familiar with their offense."
ROFL "because he's familiar with their offense" I think it goes a little deeper then that. - ethanpeirce, on 06/16/2009, -0/+3I live fairly close to him. I will set up barricades.
- nightsweat, on 06/16/2009, -0/+3Buried for being a re-run from 2008. And 2007. And 2006. And-
- jankind, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2This is only news to people who don't follow sports. Those of us who do have been hearing about it every hour on the hour for the past month. They may as well call SportsCenter FavreCenter.
- Nulubez, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2there was a time he was worshipped like a God in Sconny. He could have retired and never paid for a meal again. Then he goes to the Jets and pisses em off. Now to join our Vikes? We'de let him, never play him and just parade him in front of the Cheeseheads for sport.
- TaylorSPL, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2I thought he just retired? The economy must be getting really bad.
- avshanbh, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2I love you Brett but stop making a fool out of yourself.
- imronburgundy83, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2Whoa, next you're going to tell me that grapes can be purple or green!??!
- wonko33, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2Madden used to say that Favre brought a childlike enjoyment of the game, turns out he was a child.
- jba68, on 06/16/2009, -1/+3I dont know I can dress in a pair of wranglers and toss some lame passes to a group of drunks just the same as he can.
- goreyend, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2The Madden Curse is coming Bret
- BallaShoes, on 06/16/2009, -0/+2Go Vikings!
