- basye, on 10/22/2008, -20/+42I'm sorry but he still is acting a bit like a baby.
- MrSquirrel, on 10/22/2008, -6/+25Thanks for the vital info!
Please be sure and update us when Brett Favre's emotional state changes again, so I can plan around it. - perhapsimcrazy, on 10/23/2008, -3/+20FARVE ANGRY... FARVE SMASH!!!
- Sail3, on 08/04/2009, -4/+14He has every right to be angry, this whole story is ridiculous. What could Favre possibly tell the Lions that would be any use to them, plays, hand signals, what? Favre isn't on the team any more; he doesn't have the playbook. Even if he did, don't you think the Lions already know the majority of their plays since the two teams meet twice a year? If something drastically changed since the last time they met Favre wouldn't know since he's NOT ON THE TEAM!
Edit: The Packers won the game in question 48-25. - inactive, on 10/23/2008, -2/+10you're an idiot. deanna favre is hot as hell.
- Surferess, on 10/22/2008, -1/+8This is for the Jets!
http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/j/NBCSports/Sections/Per ... - leerayIG88, on 10/22/2008, -6/+13I hope people don't like him when hes angry.
- ethanator1088, on 10/22/2008, -12/+19I would be mad to. I knew he did not do it. Good find!
- Bobboq, on 10/23/2008, -2/+8I am a Wisconsin fan and a Brett Favre fan. I blame the staff in GB for us letting Favre go anywhere but our starting line up. But regardless we are where we are, Rodgers is doing a decent job for Wisconsin and Brett is doing a good job for the Jets. Teams who face each other regularly have a pretty good idea of what they are going to be seeing. The Lions who haven't been good in quite sometime, couldn't do much better unless Favre handed them GB's playbook. You can hate the team Brett plays for, but you cant ignore what he really is, a guy who loves to play the game.

- Strongo, on 10/23/2008, -3/+7I have millions of dollars, I've played a sport my entire life, I've been one of the best for two decades....hmm..let me see if I can find something to bitch about.
- inigomntoya, on 10/23/2008, -4/+8You had me until the Patriots...
- knute5, on 10/23/2008, -0/+3I'm GB born and raised ("Wisconsin fan?" You mean Bucky Badger?) and it was a huge thing to let Favre go last year. But they did and they moved on. Then Favre wanted back in ... but you can't build a team for the next decade that way. Rodgers earned the job and it's Rodgers' job to lose. Everybody said for years that the Pack was only good because of Favre. Good bless him (and I mean it) but that's bullsh*t. The Packer success is due to the front office, the coaches, the fans, the team members AND Favre. Now it's Aaron Rodgers, who may or may not be as indestructible as Favre, but damn if he isn't a disciplined and talented player. I like our chances and look forward to the next decade with this guy.
- oneredeye, on 10/23/2008, -2/+5TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL
- inactive, on 10/23/2008, -2/+5As Artie Lange once said
There's times when your girlfriend wont ***** you but when you gamble on the Jets....... they will ALWAYS ***** you. - Sail3, on 08/04/2009, -1/+4Except they're friends and go hunting together.
- vondrak, on 10/23/2008, -3/+6Oh, he said he didn't do it? Then I guess I'll believe him. He certainly doesn't hold a grudge against the Packers organization. Although I do recall him wanting to be placed in the NFC North you know with our rivals who we'd play twice a year, no vengeance there.
No way does he hold ill will toward Aaron Rodgers, except that he called Romo to encourage him to play with a bad pinky but no call to his former teammate who had an injured shoulder.
I didn't want to believe this about Favre either but its been confirmed by multiple sources, the Lions won't deny the story they just give a "No Comment", and lets not forget Jay Glazer was the guy who broke Favre's original retirement.
I also don't buy his explanation that this happens more than we think. I understand that if he had gone to the Lions, then he'd give the Lions defense some pointers. But this is a team completely out of his division! - DaneTrain, on 10/23/2008, -1/+4"I blame the staff in GB for us letting Favre go anywhere but our starting line up." I just don't get this line of reasoning from Green Bay fans. The guy was an egotistical prick who expected to walk into a starting QB job mere weeks before training camp, or be released to sign with your biggest divisional rival. His replacement is 24 years old and putting up some of the best stats in the entire NFL, and he's getting better every game. This was a calculated move by the Packers management to build towards the future and it's paid off incredibly well. Meanwhile Brett Favre is throwing multiple picks against the Oakland ***** Raiders, playing on a team that probably won't even make the playoffs. They made the right choice, if they would have kept Favre it would have been a huge step back for the future of the franchise, you guys should be excited to have such competent management and coaching.
- Sail3, on 08/04/2009, -8/+10You're right, how childish of him to hold a press conference and answer questions. How is he acting like a baby in this situation?
- Trekhawk, on 10/23/2008, -3/+5You blame the staff? As in management? The same management who begged Brett to not retire, then sat through his tear-filled retirement speech, then drafted TWO QBs based on that retirement, then went into training camp having game planned around Aaron Rodgers, then offered Brett an opportunity to compete for the starting job, then offered Brett $20 million to be a PR ambassador after Brett refused to compete, then finally traded a the 38-year old QB to a team they won't play this season. That staff?
They did everything right in my opinion. Brett made it unworkable. Again, I'm a Packers fan first and a Brett Favre fan second. Team above all. Players come and go. The team will be the only constant. - elighcash, on 10/22/2008, -5/+7And I'm a little bit Rock n' Roll
- whatthefu, on 10/23/2008, -10/+12Why? Because people are blowing things out of proportion and saying ridiculous ***** like he's being a "spoiled Brett" and tarnishing his legacy? Yeah, that's totally childish of him to respond to that. How dare him.
- 9umber9ine, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1Luckily he's not angry and sports green at the same time anymore
- inactive, on 10/23/2008, -5/+618-1
- paulvq, on 10/23/2008, -2/+3Plugging your own submission on an unrelated digg article is a surefire way to get your submission more buries than diggs.
- SpasticWeasel, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1I guess this would matter if the Lions (0-6) and Matt Millen didn't suck as hard as they do. What is Favre going to tell them that will let them un-suckify themselves?
- snobrder218, on 10/23/2008, -1/+2It doesn't matter if he's not on the team. Do you realize, he was with them for 16 years. You don't think after that long, of the exact same plays, maybe a few new, that he doesn't have them memorized?
No, the Lions don't know. Go ahead, watch the packers, or any team for that matter, I guarantee you that you will NEVER pick up on plays by just watching them. Sure, here and there you can guess whats going to happen, but you will not know the exact routes of every player.
By giving the Lions the playbook from what he remembers, can give the Lions a heads up to what could happen. If they look for certain patterns, or formation calls, they could adapt to the play at hand and stop them in their tracks.
This story isn't ridiculous at all. It's more ridiculous that Farve just couldn't ***** stay retired. Don't get me wrong, I respect the man, but only as a GB Packer. - RizzoFrank, on 10/23/2008, -1/+2Jim Zorn please call Detroit and tell us your plan for Sunday. We need anything we can get to win this year.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1wtf? isn't that the line?
- devnullDood, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1You're a dumbass!
- primaldefense, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1Well if Rodgers can have a good offensive line that protects him and really can nail down the whole zone blocking scheme we could maybe get 10 years out of Rodgers. But I wil be happy with 5 years from him. He is talented and well loved by many here in WI and within the team and staff up in Green Bay. I am going to take the seasons as they come, but I have to say I was pleasently surprised. I wish the team the best, I am doubtful of a super bowl this year, but who knows what will happen. I love this season of football, so many great games, many being decided in the final minutes of the game. Gotta love the NFL!
- Hillbert, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1No love for the Favre. Must of been a slow sports day...
- Trekhawk, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1Don't mind us. Just on our way to 0-16.
- boulderomen, on 10/23/2008, -1/+1Digg hates Favre? that's news to me.
- jimbev, on 10/23/2008, -0/+0Too bad he didn't give info to a team who wasn't so inept. Like a Pop Warner team, maybe?

- DaneTrain, on 10/23/2008, -3/+2@vondrak
I'm glad Packers fans are starting to see Favre's true side. His image has been so carefully sculpted by the media that it was impossible to know what he was really like. I went to Chico State when Aaron Rogers was playing at Butte (both schools are located in the same small northern California town of Chico) and have friends who are good friends with him. They still keep in contact, and I've been told by multiple friends how much of an ***** Favre was to Rogers. I've never been a Packers fan, but after hearing that, and hearing how good of a guy Rogers is, it's been fun to watch him do so well under so much ***** scrutiny. - form3hide, on 10/23/2008, -3/+2He's not 100% ready to melt into obscurity?
- inactive, on 10/23/2008, -9/+8favre should go throw some more interceptions
- wireframework, on 10/23/2008, -2/+1Favre FTW. Glazer is a bitch and a half.

- hugopolsky, on 10/23/2008, -3/+0We all know what happened last time Brett Favre got angry.
- everlast88, on 10/23/2008, -6/+3none of you gave a ***** about favre until Kevin Rose cried about him retiring
- Joey999, on 10/23/2008, -4/+1It was a pretty slow news day in the sports world. ESPN alternated between this and Kobe Bryant's knee the entire day. Every time I flipped back it was one or the other. Meanwhile there is a world series going on if anyone cares.
