Bears release Benson after latest arrest
statesman.com — Cedric Benson’s DWI arrest in Austin on Saturday has now cost him his job. The Chicago Bears released Benson on Monday afternoon. The Bears’ action follows two arrests here in the past month. Benson was charged with boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest in a Lake Travis incident a month ago.
