- Nick217, on 02/14/2009, -2/+22We're willing to accept a bucket with a hole in the bottom, a paperclip and a certificate to Dunkin' Donuts if you take this felon off our hands.
- Chewie67, on 02/14/2009, -4/+22Honestly, who would take this guy?
He's an instant headache for whatever team signs him.
At his peak, he was an "average" quarterback with more hype than results.
He hasn't seen a football field in 2 years.
Way more trouble than he's worth. - Howland07, on 02/14/2009, -0/+16I can see the headline already
"Only one year after their 0-16 season, the Detroit Lions make it to the playoffs with the help of ex-convict Michael Vick" - robEstyles, on 02/14/2009, -1/+11Al Davis will trade for him and Vick will beg to go back to a federal prison
- Pake, on 02/14/2009, -5/+14His ass should be banned from football.
- urgeigh, on 02/14/2009, -0/+9The Lions, watch.
- salinemist, on 02/14/2009, -0/+9I heard Michael Vick found Jesus before he went to prison.
He tied him to a stump and made him fight the Buddha. - hughesj919, on 02/14/2009, -3/+11Uhh, he was hardly average. He has several NFL records, and he was pretty phenomenal in college. Probably will be one of the best running QBs ever, and given the track record of other NFL players, he fits right in.
He might not have made the best off field decisions, but don't think for a minute that he is an "average" QB. - Pake, on 02/14/2009, -0/+7There's always one team... the Cowboys.
- thebigredcat, on 02/14/2009, -1/+8Perhaps the Cleveland Browns? They have the Dawg Pound.
- AshamedAmerican, on 02/14/2009, -0/+7SOLD to the man bidding $1.00!
- mediaspree, on 02/14/2009, -0/+6I guess I'll be forced to Thanksgiving day.
- Dorkside, on 02/14/2009, -1/+7I'll start the bidding at $1.
- RiMac, on 02/14/2009, -0/+5What's with the Nnamdi Asomugha pic?
- hinmanj, on 02/14/2009, -3/+7Sorry but football is just a sport that anyone should be able to play, just because he was a dick to dogs doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to do his job. That's like you being thrown in jail for public intoxication and then not being allowed to work afterward. If someone has a skill, let them use it; just because he went to jail doesn't mean he should never be allowed to play football again.
- bblande, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4Send him to the Browns. They'll be the Cleveland Bad Boyz, and get this--dog fights in the Dawg Pound at halftime! It'll be great!!
Or not... - johnoneal, on 02/14/2009, -4/+8Good. Vick was an overpaid ass. We have a pretty good team now and next year they'll build on this season. Atlanta doesn't need Vick.
- JohnnyKinder, on 02/14/2009, -1/+5No one will trade for rights to Vick. He is still owed some 56 million dollars.
If any team wants him, they will wait till the Falcons cut him (which they will) and offer him a one year, league minimum contract, maybe with a second year team option, and bonuses totaling to the sum of around a million dollars.
I would guess San Francisco, Tampa, or Minnesota....but I would never count the Raiders or Cowboys to try for him, they are always willing to add to the growing list of criminals.... - shmatt, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4nah, NFL players are supposed to stay out of trouble off the field. It's in their contract. he wasn't just a dick, he tortured and murdered lots of dogs, and ran an illegal gambling ring, making a ***** of money. THat's way worse than public intoxication.
Besides from all that technical ***** for why he shouldn't play, some people just don't want sick, sadistic ***** like him in the game. I could do without TO's whiny ass too. - ericdano, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4Yeah, I was thinking the Raider could use him............
- jedinate, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4Put it this way then. Very average decision making skills when passing. Yes he has a great arm and yes he can run like the wind, but the right choices need to made when passing.
Definitely "will be one of the best running QBs ever", but give me Trent Dilfer's one Superbowl ring over that title any day. - carter5434, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3Is there still time for him to play in a prison league football game against the guards?
- bales, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3Just for dogfighting? I'd rather see the the "thugs" who get involved in shootings, and DUI's get banned.
- sfcaptainrob, on 02/14/2009, -1/+4My question is, who would want him? The rights to a player who's still in prison and may or may not be able to play in the NFL again. Not to mention he'd be a huge distraction if he ever was able to play again. Sure, I'll give you two first rounders...WTF is Atlanta thinking? Just release him and be done with it.
- kolop1, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3The Raiders take players when hey are out of there prime.
- wilf_brim, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3Oooh. That's cold.
- Krnballerzzz, on 02/14/2009, -1/+4As a citizen of the good ol ATL, I would like to say this...
***** MICHAEL VICK. - Sean42, on 02/14/2009, -2/+5Whatever team takes this scumbag better expect a whole lotta boycott and protests.
The NFL should ban him. Period. - hinmanj, on 02/14/2009, -3/+6You guys all hate Michael Vick... but I personally wouldn't mind seeing him on the field again, he IS a playmaker, and I'm sure he works out and plays football every day in prison. Everyone is all "Hah! he's gonna be everyone's bitch in prison!" but you forget he's a pretty big dude, and probably bigger now after being in prison. He probably has more guys protecting him in prison than going after him.
- richirwin, on 02/14/2009, -1/+4Who would want that piece of *****?
Maybe Michael and Marcus can go back to Virginia Tech. It seems to attract these kind of people. - sgtbutterscotch, on 02/14/2009, -1/+4He's not average in terms of talent, but he's average in terms of performance. Take it from this Atlanta Falcons fan, he could make an exciting play every now and then on his feet, but he couldn't lead his team to two nine-win seasons in a row.
- memoBug, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2Would that include the right to remain silent, and the right to an attorney?
- bales, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2nope, they fired millen already.
- merdiesel, on 02/14/2009, -2/+4*****, you're annoying.
- 3tcp, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2I'm sure raiders fans would love to have 'im.
- Ica7us, on 02/14/2009, -1/+3Banned from owning a dog...definitely...banned from football...I think that he's done that to himself already...no team would want him.
- WhatsUpWithJack, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2Hal Steinbrenner may be interested in a deal...
- FreddieD, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2Do you think the Bengals are chomping at the bit for the opportunity to pick up another felon?
- hokie47, on 02/15/2009, -0/+2What Vick did is very wrong, but he paid with it by having 2 years of his life taken away and basically losing all his money. Talk to black people from the ghettos and they will tell you that dog fighting is a way of life to them. Should have Vick have known better, sure, but I think he has pay his debt to society after he is released and should be forgiven. Kill a person no one cares, kill a dog people want to hang you.
- GTOFan350, on 02/14/2009, -1/+3I do believe that the ONLY team desperate enough to take that on would be the Lions. Personally I think he should be banned from professional sports and be thrown into a pit full of rabid dogs with raw steaks shoved down his pants.
- FriedSperm, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2As a diehard, forever loyal, would take a bullet for Al Davis, Raiders fan, I would like to have Micheal Vick play for the Raidas.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -0/+2Forgiven? When I see the filth crawling on the ground with a shattered spine, then I'll think about forgiving him.
- sublimer, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2I go to VT where he played his college ball, he led us to our only national championship game, so a part of me respects him...
...hold up, nah, we rip his ass a new one here at Tech! He's not even good enough to clean the toilets in my dorm after a crazy night of drinking on the hall. - FreddieD, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2I don't really wish Vick on the Browns, but that would make for awesome irony.
- staticneuron, on 02/14/2009, -0/+1"I'm not a chef, but I can cook spaghetti" means that your breakdown of that sentence is wrong.
Idiot. - thefarside420, on 02/14/2009, -3/+4So because he can "make plays" his illegal and immoral behavior should be looked over so he can continue to display his "talent" on the football field. I can't wait for culture to begin to grasp the notion that sportsmen are not superheroes, and I wish we would stop treating and paying them as they were. But as long as the white trash families (you know, the ones with 4 kids named Colten, Brayden, Aiden, and Jayden) are still around that will never happen. I guess the worst advancement of new technology was giving those hicks from the flyover states affordable internet and satellite tv.
- gkiltz, on 02/14/2009, -0/+1The sad part is, some schmuck out there is actually going to give up a decent draft pick for that turkey!
- tycsteel, on 02/14/2009, -3/+4sit him on the bench and make him watch matt ryan be a real QB
- Synchro, on 02/14/2009, -1/+2I smell Arena Football!!
- urgeigh, on 02/14/2009, -1/+2lol, I have been Lions free for 14 games!! I quit 2 games into last season and I'm SO glad. It's like quitting smoking only better.
