Buried for Wrong Topic - Endeavorer, on 11/12/2007, -0/+6The title says Pie... the article says pizza.
I was very disappointed - woodcoxcb, on 11/12/2007, -3/+8darn you kevin and your front paging powers.
- the_snitch, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5Cos digg is full of fat f*cks. I clicked on it cos I'm hungry, and a pie sounds awesome.
- jm1234567890, on 11/12/2007, -1/+5Why do you Americans call "pizza" a "pie"?
- ragmaster, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Umm.. why is this posted under Sports » Football - US/Canada
- carbog, on 11/12/2007, -2/+5no way this is on digg
- tnoy, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3"Chicago style" is a bastardization of pizza. Get over yourself.
- Soave, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2You clearly missed the point. A pan pizza is still cooked in an oven.
- tennisninja38, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2how can you be if you can't even spell it right?
- Metis2be, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Fat people like both equally, and mentioning either makes them hungry. To them there isn't a difference.
- Twenty, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2This sounds amazing.
Also, not all fried foods are unhealthy. It's all about timing it so that the food you're frying doesn't get saturated with the oil it's frying in.
And if you actually RTFA, it says you can put whatever toppings you want, including sauce and cheese. - jonesyb, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2What is a pie? A pie has pastry lid with various fillings, apples... or savory things like meat.
Does someone want to explain the pie thing? - derning, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Most people on the West Coast don't really call it a PIE. From what I understand, the term comes from the East Coast (maybe New York?), where Italian Americans used to call it a PIZZA PIE. That was then shortened into a more vernacular slang term: PIE.
For the record, I think PIE is a terrible name for a PIZZA.
- nepawoods, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2If you want greasy pizza, try dominoes.
- tnoy, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Its about pizza... I'm surprized took that long.
- halohunter, on 11/12/2007, -1/+2How the heck did something with 18 diggs get on the front page?
- Calculon, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1Its a slow time now and has the greatest amount of diggs in the past hour?
- f4nt0m4s, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1i don't have an "a" on my keyboard, i know..it doesn't make sense now, but it will some day
- richardsimpson, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1Ah pan, pizza, pie...

- Fragowell, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1What *is* real? /morpheus
- str3ama, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't mind trying it..but personally I'd put sauce on it..but not sure that would go well since the dough must be oily afterwards (crisp, but still oily). Did anyone actually try this?
- Goldkill, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1You can't even get this in Glasgow any more, although there, admittedly, they were deep fried.
- jonesyb, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1Traditionally a pizza is made with mozzarella, a very small amount of tomato and basil leaves. It is counties like the UK and USA that have added all the other toppings.
- akimbo, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1*looks at another person across the conference desk, then back again*
"well... people like pizza"
"Just as people like, delicious and moist cake."
[/portal] - Soave, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1In my family, we sometimes cook pieces of pizza dough like this (without sauce, cheese, etc., just the dough itself). It tastes really good with a little bit of salt and some honey. Try it.
- DudeyDude, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1"Pizza is sometimes used as a general word for a savory pie; the Campanian pizza rustica and the Italian American pizzagiena (Easter pie) are examples of this more general sense." ?

- Takteek, on 11/12/2007, -2/+2Ack! I hate "pizza" that is actually just bread, tomato slices, and giant basil leaves.
A pizza is made with SAUCE, CHEESE, and possibly other toppings. - skwunch, on 11/12/2007, -0/+0No tomato sauce? I'll agree, pizza like I've never had it.
Time to order one. - j3one, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1partner=digg&exprod=digg

Just kidding, just kidding. But yeah, no, this article is super gay. - TorontoJays, on 11/12/2007, -1/+0pie with no oven!?!?!? clearly the work of satan
- monkiboi, on 11/12/2007, -2/+1A giant culinary leap backwards and one step closer to a coronary.
- DiggzDE, on 11/12/2007, -3/+1I don't. Don't class Americans.
- f4nt0m4s, on 11/12/2007, -4/+2That thing looks like the bastardization of pizza. As a Chicagoin, I am offended.
- wonderpants, on 11/12/2007, -3/+1we are going to try this!
- DillDoe, on 11/12/2007, -2/+0Pizza cooked in a Pan!!!!
They could make a fortune with this so called Pan Pizza!
Maybe sell them out of some kind of Hut or something. - staticx57, on 11/12/2007, -5/+0Why do you call us "Americans" when there is no such country called "America". We call it pizza here in the US though.
