- Anand999, on 05/03/2009, -2/+20I'm glad no one was killed in this accident, but I'm kind of annoyed at the local news stations here in Dallas as they completely stopped reporting on the ongoing storms and instead focused on this Cowboys thing as soon as the story broke. In the mean time, big chunks of the DFW area are under a tornado warning and the tornado sirens in my area are going off. I flip through the news stations trying to find out what's really going on and every station is stuck on the Cowboys.
How about giving us a quick update on the situation and then go back to reporting on the weather, and then after the storms do pass give us the full story? - relaxeder, on 05/03/2009, -1/+10Scary. I hope the coach that broke his back will be okay.
- inactive, on 05/03/2009, -0/+7Too bad your mother wasn't there.
- inactive, on 05/03/2009, -0/+7Hope everyone gets well soon. I get disgusted by people who make jokes just because they hate the team. They're still people dammit.
- WarnerK, on 05/03/2009, -0/+6Same thing happened to me. The Weather Channel was the ONLY news station actually reporting the serious weather conditions.
- samwize, on 05/03/2009, -0/+5Big whoop, have you ever seen a tornado outside your front door?
Ya, you would want constant weather coverage too if you have lived here long enough to experience real severe weather. - Inkfreak666, on 05/03/2009, -0/+4I am a Giants fan and hate the Cowboys, but it sucks to see anyone get hurt in a freak accident like this.
- BRENTON8907, on 05/03/2009, -1/+5They brought the roof down
- samwize, on 05/03/2009, -0/+4I live in Fort Worth, and this news story killed my Tiger watch as every local station was flooded with coverage.
I am glad they covered it. Their families needed to be aware. It was absolutely horrifying footage they showed - amazing everyone's alive. - dystra, on 05/03/2009, -0/+4i like the part where the camera men dont help.
- StolenLamp, on 05/03/2009, -0/+3For real, there was lightning every 2 seconds and tornado sirens, and all I see is some chick talking to some guy on the phone.
- charlesray, on 05/03/2009, -1/+4They showed a video of this on NFL Network (which I luckily still have, thanks Comcast) and it looked terrifying. Good things no one got seriously injured (i.e. life-threatening).
- WarnerK, on 05/03/2009, -1/+3^^In what universe is insulting your own mother a good comeback?
- beatitlikeacop, on 05/03/2009, -1/+3Which is why they have sucked ass the past 20 years?
- inactive, on 05/03/2009, -0/+2Yep, exactly. And todays Cowboy could be tomorrows Giant. I would never wish harm to come to players or staff because I dislike the team they're on.
- macromorgan, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1I'm actually kind of glad it collapsed, but it does suck for those who are injured. It was a massive eyesore here in Valley Ranch and I really hope they don't rebuild it.
- ElectricSpeed, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1The meteorologist said it's called a "microburst" - wind pushed down to the ground by the heavy rain.
- dizmoz, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1"Wind that was just shy of tornado strength, and perhaps stronger...."
umm what one? - blipblopblip, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1Cowboy builders.
- Kiltzg, on 05/03/2009, -0/+0I certainly wish them all a speedy recovery. for better or worse, it only proves they're human, and subject to the forces of nature as we all are!
- Jennmoor85, on 05/03/2009, -0/+0Poor cowboys. Actually it sounds silly like a part of some comedy
- QuarkC, on 05/03/2009, -2/+1HD channels 5-2,8-2,8-3 anyone? no seriously that was annoying.
- itc518, on 05/02/2009, -4/+3I heard there were no fatalities now.
- sfharper, on 05/03/2009, -5/+3Good report, scary :) Sheri
- STARTRAK4907, on 05/03/2009, -7/+4I wish TO was with the Cowboys, he probably couldve been under that roof
- AdamaObama, on 05/03/2009, -6/+3Yeah, too bad. My mom's a bitch.
- Fibula, on 05/03/2009, -6/+2YEEHAW
- snowysnowcones, on 05/03/2009, -9/+2I for one actually HATE it when news channels do this. They interrupt normal viewing because there's a storm outside. Big whoop, have you ever seen rain? Yes, I know, the storms today contain lightning (I live in the DFW area, too), but common sense should be able to tell you whether to seek further shelter or not.
- wmute, on 05/03/2009, -11/+1God is a Redskins fan
- AdamaObama, on 05/03/2009, -20/+3Who cares? It's the Cowboys.
