Anyway, Oklahoma's defense did better than I thought. I was expecting the Gators to put up 40+ points. On the other hand, Florida's defense was amazing, holding the highest scoring team in the nation to just 14 points. Everyone in the SEC was a Gator fan just for tonight. - Troy64, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2Although, I would prefer a playoff system, this was not a bad game. It was not decided until late in the fourth quarter. There were some exciting goal line stands. I thought it was good game by two evenly matched teams.

Went down to University Ave. after the game w/ my camera. I think '06 was a little bit crazier but you can still see that the street was flooded w/ people. For reference, University Ave. is the main road in Gainesville going through campus and dividing the city into north and south. It was barricaded for blocks. I was with my wife so I hesitated to deliberately film the drunken girls. There were 2 SEC vs Big12 bowl games, the SEC won both of them. Bradford never played a team with a decent defense. Only 3 in the top 30 defenses. Tebow put up comparable numbers (even had 1/4th the interceptions of Bradford) playing a schedule that included *9* top 30 defenses.

When was the last time a Quarterback came along that accounted for so much in so little time. The kid won the Heisman as a sophomore, just prove that he should have won it this year (Bradford's numbers were hyper-inflated because nobody in the Big12 has any defense, and last night's BCS champ game made that painfully obvious - as well as Ole Miss beating Tex. Tech!) and may win it next year too...
