- everythinggreen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+0Yeah, reading labels is really important, you can't believe the hype like "made with whole grain" or "full of vegetables" or "all natural" - reading the actual ingredients may shock you.

- VirginiaLW, on 08/07/2008, -0/+0I agree with reading the labels - I was surprised recently to read the label of a sugared kids cereal and compare it with my "healthy" low-fat granola cereal - mine wasn't as healthy as I thought!

- JulietB, on 08/05/2008, -0/+0Great advice! I've also read that you should try to spend most of your grocery budget on the outer perimeter of the store - in the produce, meat and fish, and egg and dairy sections. Most of the fattening, processed foods are in the middle aisles.
