That site is horrible. Their Slideshow On/Off button didn't work at all for me, they used 10 pages for something that could have fit on 1 or 2, and they had ads interspersed every two images or so. I copied these here to save everyone else the trouble, but I'm going to have to bury this article in the hopes that no-one will digg their site ever again. - suckonthat, on 07/14/2009, -1/+15deep fried snickers > deep fried twinkie.
- missjames, on 07/14/2009, -0/+14some of those aren't so unusual. like frog's legs? old hat.
... and can i say, the hot beef sundae actually sounds good. meat and taters. mmm! - tava0002, on 07/15/2009, -5/+18thisiswhyyourefat

- abadonn, on 07/15/2009, -0/+8Pssh.. they need to come to Minnesota, where we will stick anything on a stick and deep fry it. Candy bar on a stick, alligator on a stick, ostrich, to name just a few.
- MaddieCakes, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7My dad and I own a concession stand, we make fried Oreos. ***** AMAZING. Oreos are dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried. It makes the Oreos soft, like those new Cakesters. They're absolutely EVIL.
- kasjogren, on 07/15/2009, -1/+8As a yearly attendee of the "Great Minnesota Get Together" I can tell you there is nothing wrong with deep fried anything.
- EvilJelloMan, on 07/15/2009, -2/+9Buried for ***** slideshow with an ad in the middle.
- BoneStamp, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7Cheesecake on a stick is big around here.
- mgd4, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6looking at this all I can think of is how bad my diarrhea would be if I ate any of it
- Mothrog, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6If death is bacon, death doesn't sound too bad.
- Xaevier, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6I had some deep fried pickles at a fair once, they were actually very good.

Recipe if your interested. - KISSOLOGY, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Yeah they serve those in some local restaurants here in the southern states. I like them when they're diced up more like chips then spears though.
Effin' delicious I say. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5ok, since no one else has said it, the key lime pie on a stick sounds ***** amazing. i want to try that.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6Dugg for 2 Minnesota State Fair entries. The MSF rules all state fairs, especially for wacky foodies. You haven't experienced all that food has to offer until you've had deep-fried, chocolate-covered bacon with chocolate dipping sauce. And let's not forget unlimited milk and chocolate chip cookies for $10. Hell yeah.
- SweetDaddyD, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Thank you. As soon as I saw it was 10 pages, I clicked the little red X in the top corner of the page.
If I won't click through 10 individual pages of T & A on askmen.com I'm certainly not doing it for carny food. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Agreed. The Minnesota State Fair is the king of state fairs. People who haven't been there just don't even know. :)
- johlorax, on 07/14/2009, -1/+5Deep fried Coca-Cola FTW!!
- rushiku, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4And I suppose your Mama doesn't let you play with girls either?
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4a really awesome day of eating vomiting and screaming?
- cgailh, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4This is undoubtedly one of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed. Although, I do believe that garlic ice cream from the Gilroy Garlic Festival of California should have been included.
- Linkin4, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4Pleated slacks sound disgusting
- Wreckage, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4Combine all this nauseating food with rides that spin you around and upside down and what do you get?

- mparker21311, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3No deep fried snicker bars?
- strictnein, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3Solve for snickers:
(Twinkie * deep frying) + (snickers * deep frying) - yummy = 0
snickers * deep frying = (-(Twinkie * deep frying) + yummy))
snickers = (-(Twinkie * deep frying) + yummy)) / deep frying
snickers = -Twinkie + (yummy / deep frying) - facts717, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3try reading the text to the right of each picture.

- AlyxVance, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3Nobody beats the MN state fair. Last year I had a deep fried snickers on a stick. Sounds really nasty, but it was probably one of the best tasting sweets I've ever had.
Most people go for deep fried twinky on a stick though
One other cool thing, they bring in an entire milk truck and for a quarter you buy a cup and fill it with milk. If you keep your cup you can come back the rest of the day and get free milk refills! - beloitpiper, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3I'm SOOO glad they didn't mention Wisconsin.
- Sneezyx, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3What!? The beef sundae isn't deep-fried? Fuhgeddaboudit!!!
- theartfuldodgr, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3Chicken friend bacon sounds absolutly amazing.
- slapded, on 07/15/2009, -2/+4im surprised by all the healthy looking people in line for that mess
/s - KISSOLOGY, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Spicy garlic pickles will stick in your stomach for hours after consumption.
- zagatbuzz, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2Wow, Fried Coca-Cola, how does that even work?? All of these are definitely unusual!!

"I'm not fat, I'm big boned!" - reaper527, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2the pizza cone looks pretty good. everything else is kind of uhm...
- strictnein, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2I'll be honest. I just went and checked Cuisinart's website for that.
- strictnein, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2You're right, Minnesota sucks. Nothing to do here except sit in our igloos. Stay in Texas. Unless, of course, you're looking to live somewhere that's consistently ranked at the top in terms of quality of life, health, education, jobs, outdoors and parks system, entertainment, arts, environment, etc etc and has a significantly lower crime rate than Texas and lots of real lakes (unlike the "lakes" I've seen in Texas).
- JAVandiver, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2That is a rather southern food. We also fry pickled jalapeño slices and call them "bottle caps". Both are usually served with ranch.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Its good, but step up to fried pig nervana with 'Maple Pecan Chocolate Bacon'.....Yum.

This ode to bacon won the award for Best Taste at the 2008 Big Tex Choice Awards. Creator Glen Kusak had been a fair vendor for 12 years running, but 2008 marked his first year entering the annual State Fair of Texas food contest.
Fried Avocado Bites
It wouldn't be California if avocado didn't get a starring role in this food fest! Spears of tender avocado are coated in a corn-dog batter and fried until golden. These vitamin-rich darlings come with a choice of two dipping sauces: ranch or herb-infused oil.
Spaghetti and Meatball on a Stick
Ever the innovators of food on a stick, this year fair vendors will offer more than 60 varieties. Spaghetti and meatball on a stick begins with a mash-up of meatball mix and cooked spaghetti. The mixture is formed into balls, dipped in garlic batter, deep-fried, and finished with marinara sauce.
Fried Frog's Legs
In the grand state fair tradition of frying anything that's edible, California brings us this unique offering. Delicately boned frog's legs are battered and deep-fried until crispy. Mmm. Tastes like chicken!
Hot Beef Sundae
Touted as comfort food at its finest, the hot beef sundae is a generous helping of buttery mashed potatoes surrounded by slow-roasted roast beef and gravy, sprinkled with Cheddar cheese, and garnished with a cherry tomato. It may look like a sundae, but this baby is all Sunday dinner.
Pizza Cones
This tidy, highly portable riff on the pizza slice consists of a cone-shaped pizza crust filled with cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and Red Gold® tomato sauce, all baked in an oven. And just like an ice cream cone, the cheesy treat comes wrapped in its own paper sleeve for on-the-go handheld ease.
Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich
Who said Californians eat only healthy food? This artery-clogger features a fried chicken patty topped with Swiss cheese all tucked inside a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut. To enhance the sweet-and-savory effect, the sandwich is served with a side of Smucker's honey sauce.
Deep-Fried Twinkies
Twinkies are not exactly diet fare to begin with. But what's fun about diets? These retro snack cakes take a trip to the deep fryer by way of the freezer to ensure the golden beauties don't melt away in the hot oil.
Fried Coca-Cola
Hold on to your hats, folks. Beverages have entered the deep-fried-delicacy ring. (We were scratching our heads, too.) Fried Coke is actually Coca-Cola-flavored batter that's been deep-fried and garnished with Coca-Cola syrup, whipped cream, and cinnamon-sugar. Abel Gonzales Jr. won Most Creative for this concoction at the 2006 State Fair of Texas.
Key Lime Pie On-a-Stick
Let the on-a-stick craziness continue! This time, a frozen slice of creamy Key lime pie takes a dip in melted dark chocolate. The result: a Popsicle-like confection, perfect for in-hand eating. - colinnwn, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Served as an appetizer at a decent number of southern restaurants along with fried green tomatoes. Both my favorite savory fried foods, yum !!!
