- KokomoNYC, on 01/27/2008, -2/+119Isn't cooking the books usually fraudulent?
- AROZ, on 01/27/2008, -1/+118When can I expect a microwaveable version?
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -5/+81but will it blend?
- kazimierczuk, on 01/27/2008, -1/+70Can i eat it?
- Checkerd, on 01/27/2008, -1/+57You can. You'll probably regret it later, but no one will stop you.
- Easyoffbam, on 01/27/2008, -1/+35Hey, I smell something cookin'! What is it?
Oh, you know, just a book.... - threepio, on 01/27/2008, -0/+29Well, on the upside, it's high in fibre.
- Nashxsaysx, on 01/27/2008, -3/+31did they repeat themself's enough?
"Podravka that has to be baked in an oven before it can be read."
one line down
"Well Done, the annual report for food company you have to bake before use"
"after being wrapped in foil and cooked for 25 minutes, reveal text and images."
"Empty pages become filled with content after being baked at 100°C for 25 minutes."
we get it!
you ***** cook it! - Oomsoup, on 01/27/2008, -3/+27That is pure genius.
- xerexes1, on 01/27/2008, -1/+18You don't bake the annual report. The annual report contains a smaller cookbook. In order to read the cookbook, you have to bake it.
- monkeestylee, on 01/27/2008, -0/+11but hows it taste?
- indieguitar, on 01/27/2008, -0/+10Seriously, who has the time to bake anything? Well, I probably do, but I'm too lazy.
- smacksaw, on 01/27/2008, -6/+16Never in America. After a bunch of people burn down their homes the litigation would start.
- ChronicColonic, on 01/27/2008, -0/+9At least with this you won't be reading something half-baked.
- protodon, on 01/27/2008, -1/+10Fahrenheit 375?
- fluxion, on 01/27/2008, -0/+8but the coolest thing about this is that you have to put it in the oven before you can even read it!
- AriaStar, on 01/27/2008, -3/+11Pretty cool, but wouldn't this be expensive for just an annual report? I mean, you don't need to impress your own employees, and, if I were an investor, I'd question how the company was wasting money in other ways.
- ChileanGoD, on 01/27/2008, -1/+8What a pointless waste of energy. It's a cool idea none the less.
- fluxion, on 01/27/2008, -0/+7im gonna start turning in my TPS reports in this format
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -0/+7Yep, I predict the fires would start once we try and deep fry them.
- vofuse, on 01/27/2008, -4/+10It's almost standard practice for big companies to waste dollars on glossy & needlessly fancy reports for their stockholders, just to remind everyone that they're a "big money" company.
I'd wonder about this too, not just for the waste of money, but also the inefficiency. I'm sure many stockholders would just want to get to reading the report. But it seems to be generating good publicity for the company, so I guess it's a net win. - kelowna4life, on 01/27/2008, -0/+5innovative
- lex0nyc, on 01/27/2008, -1/+6***** the something something C.
- charlietuna, on 01/27/2008, -0/+5thermo-reactive ink == lemon juice
(sorry to be a wise-ass) - buuch, on 01/27/2008, -0/+4What an incredible waste of energy and resources.
- thomtomw, on 01/27/2008, -0/+4where can i buy it?
- JakeDeathless, on 01/27/2008, -0/+4I rather enjoyed being constantly reminded of the same details in every paragraph. They must be proud.
- reazal, on 01/27/2008, -0/+4Your comment reminds me of YouTube.
- warrenterr, on 01/27/2008, -0/+3"I like baked potatoes, man, but it takes forever to cook a baked potato in a conventional oven. Sometimes I’ll just throw one in there, even if I don’t want one. By the time it’s done, who knows?.."
-Mitch Hedberg - pinchduck, on 01/27/2008, -0/+3PDF = Pastry Document Format?

- NightVortez, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2Troll.
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2No, only on food articles. Because its funny.
- Kash04, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2its just the recipes that are printed in the oven bake-able book the filings are still in regular print
- geezluweez27, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2for any company that isn't in the red, the annual report is a good place to drop some of that profit. it shows the stockholders that you're doing well as a company.
and for you that say this is a waste of money, sure it may seem so. but this AWESOME idea that was actualized as a printed piece THAT WORKS the way they designed it to, is a much better use of company money than, i'm sure, some of the frivolous overhead costs that any company incurs. - stormado, on 01/27/2008, -1/+3That is a waste of watts.
... and foil. - catwoman2970, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2why can't i ever come up with those ideas? :-/
- QueEsAmor, on 01/27/2008, -1/+3Please stop quoting Portal like it's ***** Anchorman.
- consoneo, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2You'd have to be retarded... 451 degrees vs 212 degrees on the instructions (F)... The case would be thrown out :P
- diggydougie, on 01/27/2008, -0/+2They must have printed Thousands and Thousands of these books. Has anyone thought of all the energy will be wasted just for a stunt?
On a side note. If they really wanted to show the accuracy of the ovens they would have put ink with different temperature thresholds to reveal exactly how well done (or underdone) the book is. - Sube6491, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1"we gotta get the manual and put it in the oven till it cooks"
/obscure NOFX reference - TwenT4, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1I'm gonna make a safe assumption by saying that's probably not a Jewish cookbook.
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -5/+6I was expecting it to be something that grows... but this is really cool too :)
