- doublefelix, on 12/30/2008, -2/+22That PBR commercial makes me want to build a time machine and go back to 1980.
- sockpuppets, on 12/31/2008, -1/+9Schmitts Gay Beer was the best.
http://brainflop.com/link/schmidts_gay_beer_snl.as ... - deadasdisco, on 12/31/2008, -1/+6the highlight of the pbr ad was when the guy takes off his shirt and the blue collar workers go wild.
- louiebaur, on 12/30/2008, -6/+10PBR-FTW
- DatDudeWiggs, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4dugg for radical
- secrity, on 12/30/2008, -3/+6The LA in LA Beer was for Light Alcohol -- it was almost near beer.
- dekuscrub, on 12/31/2008, -2/+5Dugg for beer.
- chkdg8, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4Dennis Hopper FTW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snhiofL2Rh4
- PoonGnarfler, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4Budweiser really needs to bring back Spuds MacKenzie.
- valis2374, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4...***** that *****, PABST BLUE RIBBON!!
- WiretapStudios, on 12/31/2008, -2/+4Why IS that dude sitting on the other dudes lap in the beginning of the Strohs ad? That's one of the funniest parts in all of the videos. (Yes I realize it was to fit them in the shot).
- terrible0ne, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2wtf is wrong with the 80's and white people.
- STBAT25, on 12/31/2008, -1/+3God I miss the old 10' satellite dish we had.
- larrywsm, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Fosters is what we sell to other people. We don't drink the stuff unless we have too.
- nsummy, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2I should bury this as inaccurate: No Swedish Bikini Team commercial!
- jmritchie, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2That accent is not Australian. I should know, it's me singing it...
- CarolJude, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Man, I remember the first time this was on SNL. The look of shock on Sandler's and Farley's faces, the total fakeout for the viewer, was SUCH a fantastic moment. The Van Halen song was perfect, too (didn't click the link above, I hope that's a version that still has 'Top of the World' or whatever it's called - I saw one once that had a different song inserted, I guess due to some sort of licensing problem. Hope that got fixed.
And damn I miss Phil Hartman's voice. And existence. - Opiate, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2MIDI isn't music, it's an interface to control instruments remotely.
- magneteye, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2"Totally radical, dude! Like, OMG! These are so tubular!"
I miss the 80's... But hey, at least we still have BEER! - borez, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1Can't believe you don't like Beer and bacon?
/shame on you - Sefus, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2did you read the article. It was the last one.
Patience. - imasuperDOTcom, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2@STBAT25:
That'll get you every time. Seriously though, back then I think there were only like 15 channels on satellite and 10 on Cable. ;) - brettruffenach, on 12/31/2008, -2/+3I love beer.
- aladin, on 12/31/2008, -2/+3The best is Victoria Bitter
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=4wfgi9hGx1o - STBAT25, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2Everything, until a court (in Alabama I think) made them scramble the porno channels.
- imasuperDOTcom, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2You were one of those people? I never actually met someone who had the 10 foot satellite dish. How many channels you get with that bad boy?
- FaithclubDotNet, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2If you doubt these are 80s commercials, go to 13sec-14sec mark in the LA beer commercial.
- deadasdisco, on 12/31/2008, -2/+2please go away.
- marx2k, on 12/31/2008, -2/+2Couldn't you just grow a mullet?
- jax0047, on 12/31/2008, -1/+1you are so whack
- imasuperDOTcom, on 12/31/2008, -2/+1Okay I admit it. I was blown away.
Or something. - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -2/+1what you need is taste. light beer? don't make me laugh. heroin and crystal meth are so popular in america. wonder why... DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT EXTRA CHEESE. hahahah.
- greensteve, on 12/31/2008, -2/+1Some commercials that were missed in that story here: http://digg.com/television/10_Greatest_Beer_TV_Com ...
- jax0047, on 12/31/2008, -3/+2if you didnt dig this comment you're a ***** queer!
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -3/+2I know exactly where this is going, somebody's going to reply with "Slurms McKenzie" and then ALL POWER TO THE HYPNO-TOAD..
- Furmonkey, on 12/31/2008, -5/+3Yeah... That's the only busch that's ever touched the lips of THOSE cowboys...
- MN1962, on 12/31/2008, -3/+1One: The singer in the Fosters ad has an Australian accent. Both countries are similar, 200 years old, very big and full of white people so the accents are similar.
Two: No one in Australia drinks Fosters. 99.999 % is exported, the rest is used to make beer battered chips or as a shampoo,. - odk2009, on 12/31/2008, -3/+1While we're on the subject of beer, you may have missed this one - 15 famous, fictional beers from TV and film:
http://digg.com/food_drink/15_famous_fictional_bee ... - borez, on 12/31/2008, -4/+2Beer and bacon... H'mmm
- fletchsd, on 12/31/2008, -3/+1I think the same producers of the LA beer commercial are the same ones for Mentos. I was expecting to hear "The Freshmaker" at the end of the commercial.
- MacBandit, on 12/31/2008, -8/+3Buried because none of those videos were radical in any definition of the word.
- ItsSgtPepper, on 12/30/2008, -6/+1The most honest commercials ever- made after consuming gallons of your own product!
- imasuperDOTcom, on 12/31/2008, -9/+4Semi-off-topic, but how often do we get a chance to talk about how horrible the 80's were?
I was in elementary school for much of the 80's, and I remember fuzzy wrist bands, slap-stick bracelets, horrible neon colors, tights, crazy spiked hairdoos and terrible, terrible music.
Can you believe that MIDI was the music of choice in the 80's? Comeon' now, you have to admit, that's really all it was. Depeche mode was really just a glorified MIDI machine.
