The 11 Best Foods You Aren’t Eating!
well.blogs.nytimes.com — I asked Dr. Bowden, author of “The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth,” to update his list with some favorite foods that are easy to find but don’t always find their way into our shopping cart. Here’s his advice:
- 142 diggs
- digg it
- TheKillDoctor, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2If kooch is a food I'm starving...
- spony99, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4mmm, i could go for a big helping of swiss chard right now
- BennyGreenberg, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Other than Sardines(for me) this is a very doable and very smart list. I have actually addedmany of these to my diet - and have reaped many-a-reward - this is a great find!
- Odenized, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Canned pumpkin is the best. I developed a taste for it over the past year or two. I can eat it strait from the can now.
- duroduncan, on 07/06/2008, -1/+0The title is kinda incorrect...I regularly eat 7 out of 10 of these..of course with my usual #1 from McDonalds!
- scroogereport, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Did you say beets? I say borscht anyone? I love that stuff!
- Sheri123, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Five out of ten may not be good but that's the best I can do.
- cinmrc, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1sardine and cabbage are the best. tasty, affordable and easy to make. but i don't recommend them for people who's days are very physical, i know that from persona experience.
- Arcticulates, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0Ahhh! Sardines, blueberries, and pumpkin, now this is the kind of food I can live with! Yum!
- aslanlight, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0I eat most of these and are going to add the rest, except that I'm concerned about the sardines advice. The reason it's claimed it contains only a small amount of mercury is because it's a small fish. Big fish eat lots of little fish so contain a lot of mercury. But even the small amount of mercury in a small fish will add up and for people like me who already have mercury poisononing from fillings this is dangerous ground.
