    Don't be a coffee snob. A good coffee is the kind you personally like and drink.

It could hurt surrounding bars, since a lot of friends will congregate at Starbucks, with some drinking coffee, others beer.

Does Starbucks beer come with a goddamn APR? And because it's trendy they'll sell Pabst, you know they will. A beer for the price of a 6-pack. ***** you Starbucks.

  • rmxz, on 07/19/2009, -2/+17I think this is cool because Starbucks is considered an appropriate meeting place by my employer if we want to get out of the office for an afternoon. Actually my boss doesn't mind if we go to bars either; but in practice we often go to Starbucks.

    And this is the most convenient beer-serving place I'm aware of that has decent wireless connectivity.

I highly doubt Starbucks can compete with the prices and sure as hell don't think Starbucks could compete with the atmosphere. Seems like kind of a silly venture to me...

  • TheRedNewt, on 07/19/2009, -0/+12It's a pretty big jump to say serving beer = drunk people. Yet to see a drunk person at Moe's, a casual fast food restaurant that serves beer. It's not really an atmosphere conducive to people getting drunk or even wanting to get drunk.

    But, who knows? That's why they're testing it. If it's a problem, I highly doubt they'll roll them out nationwide.
