- nahsrocketeer75, on 03/25/2008, -0/+16Having had a heart attack a few years back, eating these kinds of thing -- including specifically numbers one and two -- has become kind of second nature. And not only has it been good for me, I've actually found I enjoy eating this way better than the crap I used to eat at work all the time.
- Happy_Phantom, on 03/25/2008, -3/+34I'd like to eat Marissa Lippert for lunch.
- mckinnej, on 03/25/2008, -2/+4I've got some cream-filled sausage she can snack on.
- blitzkriegpunk, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1HAHA! You mean your PENIS, right? RIGHT?
HAHA INTERNETS!

- kahrytan, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4And shes Low-Fat to boot.
- jamesallen74, on 03/25/2008, -1/+6Did anyone else click on the link just because of the thumbnail of her to the side?
- Happy_Phantom, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Tastes great; less filling.
- mckinnej, on 03/25/2008, -2/+4I've got some cream-filled sausage she can snack on.
- alittleroy101, on 03/25/2008, -0/+13I snack on tacos and pizza at work. Shockingly, I've been packing on the pounds.
- cygnus2112, on 03/25/2008, -0/+6Shall I introduce you to ... pizza tacos!

- Androfire, on 03/25/2008, -6/+6I can has popcorn?
- hypnotizd, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4As long as you are not one of those damn idiots who burn it in the microwave. I swear I work with some morons.
- LordSkywalker, on 03/25/2008, -0/+15Most of the stuff on that list sounds not that great. I just eat an orange or apple. Healthy, single serving, little cleanup.
- ThaDRD, on 03/25/2008, -0/+11Yeah, most of the ***** on the list sounded like one notch above tree bark.
- n3demonic, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Most of the stuff on the list are high in protein or in fiber so that it fills you up faster. I've oversnacked more than a few times and I've got the weight to prove it :(
- davey3598, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0fruit is definitely the way to go, bananas and apples are so easy and quick to eat.
- CaptMonkey, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2I have to agree, this list seemed overly "I'm trying to be healthy and oh so trendy at the same time." For healthy stuff that you can keep at your desk, I tend to go with fresh fruit, like you said. For something with a little longer shelf life, go with dried fruit. I find dried mangoes are especially tasty, almost like candy.
- alittleroy101, on 03/25/2008, -1/+24The girl in the picture looks like a slightly more manly Michael Jackson.
- ivosilva, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1Naa... more like Dave Grohl.
- samury, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2She reminded me of Stephen King.
- Dynamo418, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4My doctor told me to always carry a tub of lard around for snacking. Apparently 'like dissolves like', and so all that delicious lard is really helping me lose weight!
- davidlow, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2You should get it from pigs that ate lots of granola.
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1The funny thing is people trying to lose fat cut out their dietary fat when in fact you need that to burn your body fat
- davidlow, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Yeah, people seem to think that when they eat animal fat it just sort of sticks to their insides and stays there, as if human fat was chemically exactly the same.
- bobbysarcletti, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2when you're stuck in an office it's almost impossible to resist any junk food that is around. i always try and bring in my own snacks to avoid the vending machines!
- TheBanch, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3Can't we find 10 snacks that you can't keep at your desk so you have an excuse to go and get them?
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0I recently took over a cabinet at work
- GaDawg, on 03/25/2008, -1/+5Do people really eat that junk?!
- TheUngod, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2Go into a Whole Foods and you'll find plenty of pretentious hippy douchebags buying it
- annflower, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2Tons of coffe at work. My bad habbit:(
- BoneStamp, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Trix are for kids, silly wabbit.
- Cubedude04, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2Are Aero Chocolate bars on the list. Those things are addictive
- ColonelJessup, on 03/25/2008, -12/+2That chick is pretty cute. I want to ***** her feet.
- FREETHINKER2008, on 03/25/2008, -3/+2Pretzels are healthy.
- hollismb, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3No they aren't. I'm pretty sure that the +1 ingredient of pretzels is enriched flour. Which is bad for you.
- didiman, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2They are a lot better than normal potato chips, doritos, etc. but they really aren't healthy. There are only two things that you need to do to be healthy: 1) eat in moderation and 2) exercise! It's really that simple.
- steveoco, on 03/25/2008, -2/+5I use to eat an $8 chicken curry(the bomb) almost daily for work, it added up to over 30 dollars a week. I then started shopping at the local supermarket for lunch (in the city) and found I could eat a morning snack of a banana, a big roast beef, cucumber and jarsberg cheese roll for lunch and a snack of like carrot sticks and capsicum with avocado dip for around $20 a week. I now feel about 400% healthier than I use to and have lost a bit of weight, and also saved cash. I definitely recommend making the effort if you can... also the walk around just breaks up the day.
- cygnus2112, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3Walking around my city makes you get mugged. But I guess that breaks up the day.
- phenolholic, on 03/25/2008, -0/+12do they really have to toss names of manufacturers? why do i need laughing cow cheese and not any ordinary low fat or fat free cheese? when it comes to the nutritional foods, store brands (like sam's choice at walmart) are equivalent nutritional wise and taste practically the same, at more oftenly 40% the cost
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 03/25/2008, -3/+1Laughing cow cheese does come in easy to open and dispose of wax wrappers, which would make it easier to eat at work. I don't think Sam's Club cheese block will be as easy to clean up afterwards.
That said. I like Kashi bars. They're pretty good.- Mothrog, on 03/26/2008, -0/+2"I don't think Sam's Club cheese block will be as easy to clean up afterwards."
Here's a crazy idea: cut up the Sam's Club cheese block at home and wrap it yourself.
- Mothrog, on 03/26/2008, -0/+2"I don't think Sam's Club cheese block will be as easy to clean up afterwards."

- millenniumjules, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Nr. 2 with gnu flavor.. Gnu in danish is a big longhaired cow.
- wiseasgandalf, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2I keep walnuts (Omega 3s!) and Kashi Go-Lean at my desk.
- rapincandy, on 03/25/2008, -8/+1Fat Americans.
- po43292, on 03/25/2008, -4/+3Damn hippies.
- Synapse84, on 03/25/2008, -3/+2wtf is that crap?
I'll stick to Chocolates, Chips, Mountain Dew, and Random Candies.- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -3/+0wow that is a list of fail you gave us. Talk about some garbage
- Synapse84, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2list of fail? i don't think so.. I eat what i want when i want.. hell i don't want to live till i'm 90 anyways.. i'll be happy dying at 40-60.
Even being mildly overweight, i still run 8 consecutive miles, 3 times a week... could probably run more but don't have the time...
go enjoy your tofu surprise and veggie delight...
- Synapse84, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2list of fail? i don't think so.. I eat what i want when i want.. hell i don't want to live till i'm 90 anyways.. i'll be happy dying at 40-60.

- Squintorz, on 03/25/2008, -1/+8That is the most pretentious list of food I have ever seen.
- preban, on 03/25/2008, -0/+10Buried for being the EXACT reason Americans are overweight. Present the solution as something you can consume. See, the problem isn't your lifestyle, it's that you're not over-eating the right foods! /sarcasm. Also, notice how eating healthy has to include expensive, processed, packaged foods?
- MightyPez, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3Snark aside, eating throughout the day is actually good for you and a great way to lose weight. If you nibble on a small meal every few hours it keeps your metabolism up and prevents your body from going in to "starvation mode." That is, your body will naturally slow your metabolism way down if it hasn't had any food after a while to keep calories stored up. A great evolutionary function back when food sources were scarce, but not so good now that we can walk to the fridge and pull out a pint of Haggan Daas
- preban, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1I totally agree. But her point is that you MUST BUY something new in order to lose weight. You don't. Like you said, just eat frequent, smaller meals.

- tehjarvis, on 03/25/2008, -0/+10popcorn? soy chips? cheese? chocolate? a ton of processed crap?
Smart eating my ass. This is an ad disguised as an article.- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0cheese is awesome for you/
GASP so are eggs.
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0cheese is awesome for you/
- JasonCox, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2Buried because no where on that list do I see Doritos.
- Lawrencesss, on 03/25/2008, -3/+0I wouldn't mind eating that woman in the thumbnail
- slartibartphast, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1Yes I'd keep them at my desk. To slowly rot away.
- Woecip, on 03/25/2008, -0/+6Go go gadget marketing! ***** article. THe only one I agree with is the nuts.
How about:
Apples
Carrots
Dried fruit (sans the sulphur)
etc etc. The list goes on without all the marketing hype.
Oh and how the hell am I suposed to just "Munch on" the oatmeal without cooking it? - AriaStar, on 03/25/2008, -0/+5I guess flavor's not allowed.
- senatorpjt, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3***** this *****. I need something where I feel like I've eaten afterwards. I've started bringing potatoes for lunch. What I do is at the beginning of the week, I peel five big potatoes, put them in a pot with a bunch of random seasonings (try to make it different every week), boil them for an hour or so. then I just put them in the fridge in plastic bags. Every morning I bring them to work and eat them cold, although I could heat them up if I really wanted (cold kind of sucked at first but I got used to it)
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -1/+0wow that sounds incredibly boring and with far too many starchy carbs.
- Mothrog, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1Starchy carbs? *****. Try getting nutritional advice somewhere other than the bargin books section at the grocery store.
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -1/+0wow that sounds incredibly boring and with far too many starchy carbs.
- reconflux, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3>7. McCann’s Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal
This takes forever to cook. How am I supposed to eat that at my desk? - TimDigg, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2CRAISINS!!!
- karmazon, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2If a man made it, don't eat it.
- n8f8, on 03/25/2008, -0/+5Oatmeal. Beef Jerky. Her list is so pussified it makes me want to punch something.
- vagrantradio, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to nytimes columnists drone on about laughing cow cheese.
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2human beings were also not supposed to live past 35 either
- HoneyHamilton, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Mmmm, I have a massive craving for some raw, unsalted nuts.
I'd rather save my calories for a pizza or burrito dinner than on these boring snacks.- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -2/+0Dont think in terms of calories but the macronutrients you will be getting
- Mothrog, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1You mean like *gasp* carbohydrates?
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -2/+0Dont think in terms of calories but the macronutrients you will be getting
- manofdestiny, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3Oh no the smug from this list of brand names is going to collide with the smug from hybrid driving hippies!!!!
- mc4_a, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1I'm surprised that was actually a good list.
- Tweekster, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1My snacks: hardboiled eggs, cottage cheese/yogurt, walnuts, almonds.
- designer, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3Vegetarian ***** article. Slim Jims were not on the list?
- friend18, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1How about no snacks, fatty.
- blast_flame, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Buried for specifying organic. It is just a marketing ploy people. I make sure I buy non-organic where ever possible.
- Shinbone, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0Crisps and un-things, YUK. Why eat that stuff so you can live longer to...eat that stuff??
- gojavago, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0I like the chocolate covered cacao nibs, but where is the fresh fruit and vegetables?
- nextman48375, on 04/22/2008, -0/+1A friend gave me a bottle of this stuff called MonaVie to try. Anyone ever heard of it. It tastes goods and he said it has some kind of superfood in it.
