- supferrets, on 03/15/2009, -0/+49So, all along, it was the MILK in my Asbestos-O's cereal that gave me cancer...
- immatellyouwhat, on 03/15/2009, -1/+42Wait soup or milk? That title is a *****.
- Mootabolife, on 03/15/2009, -0/+39Couple this with the fact that masturbation counters prostate cancer... and I have your cure.
- Tooley7, on 03/15/2009, -1/+31It does kill people.
- novenator, on 03/15/2009, -19/+43Is there any surprise? Our species is drinking the secretions of another animal. Evolutionarily speaking, milk is just a modified sweat gland.
- dvsbastard, on 03/15/2009, -0/+24Scientific studies have shown confusing Digg submission titles can also cause cancer...
- Maddoktor2, on 03/15/2009, -5/+28Everything's bad for you. Just say ***** it all and get back to enjoying what life you have, and don't worry about it.
- xadhominemx, on 03/15/2009, -5/+24Your comment makes no sense. Are you saying anything that humans have not consumed since the very beginning is likely to cause cancer?
- Sil369, on 03/15/2009, -7/+25Next they'll say O2 (oxygen) is going to kill you.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -3/+19Don't you know? EVERYTHING causes cancer. No exceptions.
- xadhominemx, on 03/15/2009, -0/+16http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_toxicity
- trutek, on 03/16/2009, -1/+16Hate to burst your bubble, but we all have a 100% chance of death.
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -2/+15I recently learned from a nutritionist that most adults are some degree of lactose intolerant. We have a large amount of lactase enzyme which decreases with age. With milk and cheese being such a large part of people's diets this explains the increase in heartburn and things not "agreeing" with a person as they get older.
- tofagerl, on 03/16/2009, -0/+12Now now, Asbestos-O's is a genericized name. You're probably talking about Kelogg's Asbest-Os.
- artfiend77, on 03/15/2009, -2/+13Damn you. You just ruined the whole thing for me.
- ousthouse, on 03/15/2009, -0/+11What's so confusing? Soup causes cancer.
- InfiniteNothing, on 03/16/2009, -6/+17You must be one of those guys that doesn't go in airplanes.
- FurDieNosferatu, on 03/15/2009, -5/+16You can pry away the glass of milk from my cold, dead, cancerous hands.
- siszam, on 03/16/2009, -1/+12Ha Ha! I'm lactose intolerant. I will live forever!!
- Neworab, on 03/15/2009, -0/+10http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y253/berumashi300 ...
- Yage2006, on 03/16/2009, -2/+12The air you breath the water you drink cosmic rays and the sun can cause cancer.
Worrying about everything that can cause cancer can also cause cancer.
The "scientists" who did this study even admits the data is in its infancy and is not very conclusive and very vague. I'd say wait before drawing any conclusions from this as there is nothing concrete in it. - oxdeltaxo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+9Exactly, everything causes cancer and we will continue to be alarmist idiots every time we find another thing that causes it.
- CaptOblivious, on 03/16/2009, -2/+11Don't forget Dihydrogen Monoxide!!!
It can kill in different ways in any of it's three phases!

(this is a joke) - unknownpoltroon, on 03/15/2009, -10/+18Adult humans werent meant to drink milk.
- Pizzini3000, on 03/15/2009, -5/+13But I love dairy! I can't live without cheese! CHEESE! :(
- InfiniteNothing, on 03/16/2009, -0/+7I don't see why you'd need an excuse not to do something. Just don't do it because you don't feel like it.
- matthekc, on 03/15/2009, -2/+9Curling into fetal position rocking back and forth...
I'll be okay, I'll be okay, milk does a body good. Milk makes strong bones and teeth not cancer. I'll be okay, I'll be okay... - AFelsinger, on 03/16/2009, -0/+7The biggest soy company (Silk) is owned by Dean Foods, the largest dairy producer in the US.
There's no "soy milk company" big enough to fund studies - kingofinternet, on 03/15/2009, -6/+13life causes cancer.
smoke em if you got em. - reiggin, on 03/16/2009, -1/+7Wait... you're saying I should go jerk off a cow?
- KyleGoetz, on 03/16/2009, -0/+6Yeah, what they don't tell you is that Oreos have cancer-fighting agents. So keep dunking them cookies and it will cancel the milk out. And what a tasty cancelling-out it is!
- smemily, on 03/16/2009, -1/+7I agree that milk is not necessary for a healthy diet - look at several asian cultures that do not use dairy at all - but the "no other species" argument doesn't get us far. There are lots of things humans do that no other species does - get haircuts, plant crops, brush their teeth, use written language, etc.
- xGeneric, on 03/16/2009, -0/+6Just make sure to keep your glass of milk away at the time.
- darkism, on 03/16/2009, -2/+7Buried as alarmist hippie *****.
- gemlarin, on 03/16/2009, -1/+6Every week there is a new "link" to cancer.
Look, I am going to die from something someday, be it cancer, a heart attack, an elephant falling on my head. In the mean time I am going to enjoy drowning my bowl full of Frosted Flakes in some ice cold milk each and every morning. - korealize, on 03/15/2009, -2/+7Here's Bill O'Reilly weighing in his expert opinion (aka a specious argument surrounded by a sea of sophistry)
- kirstpo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5It could be the BST that cows are fed to increase milk production. In the US, the majority of milk is produced from cows injected with BST. The protein injected into cows many times causes mastitis leading to pus being excreted with the milk. It's suspect to link to cancer.
I suggest people read up on it, but know that Monsanto, the company that creates BST (prosilac), has manipulated a lot of information in order to maintain it's product and their profits. You can also watch "The Corporation" documentary. - immatellyouwhat, on 03/15/2009, -0/+5chapstick?
- InfiniteNothing, on 03/16/2009, -0/+5Oxybenzone
- bonk2k, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5"and I have YOUR cure." kinda makes it sound like you wanna jerk me off.
- ryanhayn, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5cereal > cancer
- ncjasen, on 03/15/2009, -2/+6i like almond milk
- chaos7, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4milk is gross. clearly its purpose is for young babies/animals. besides that, why they ***** would you wanna drink the milk from another species?! ewwwww. just put soy milk in your cereal.
- DAVENP0RT, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4So basically, clicking on that link increased my chances of getting cancer.
- bdbr, on 03/16/2009, -2/+6And after all that, the doctor concludes that "milk’s contribution will still only account for a trivial part of the variation between people.”
Let's all get scared now. - Wolfcaster, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4almond milk is so good, it's too bad everyone thinks nasty soy milk is the best milk alternative, gives milk alternatives a bad name.
- inactive, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5Journal of the American Dietetic Association. 2000. Retrieved on 2009-02-03. "Approximately 75% of the world's population loses the ability to completely digest a physiological dose of lactose after infancy".

I'd like to retire from this thread with an unbeaten record of 1-0. - Wolfcaster, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5yea, but you're just making things up
- spiritflare1, on 03/16/2009, -1/+5screw the research - thick chocolate milkshakes are worth the low risk probability of prostate cancer.
